    Description
    Get ready for an unpredictable, fast-paced, family-friendly card game! The 5 Alive game is a wild twist on the classic game of "21" in which players get numbered cards, each with a face value, and must stay under 21 to stay alive. Do what it takes to survive! Take risks, engage a strategy, and sabotage opponents forcing them to lose lives! If someone goes over 21 they flip an Alive card. Once they flip all 5 cards they're out. Players get eliminated until there's only one winner! Follow instructions on Wild Cards to either knock out an opponent, or to stay alive. Change things up with the alternate sudden death version for an even faster game, or play in teams. The game is easy to learn and quick to play, making it a great game for a family game night, or an impromptu party. Take it along for on-the-go play. I have 1 question which is not covered anywhere. Suppose a player played the last card as a BOMB card. What do you think should happen?
    1. Do other players first have to throw 0s and the ones who don't have 0 card will have to flip over the alive card. And then they must flip another alive card as the round is over? So in total, a player who doesn't have 0 has to flip 2 alive cards to dead.
    2. Or if one of the players played the last card as a BOMB card, we will consider the round as over and all other players will only flip 1 alive card to dead without considering the BOMB card requirements of throwing 0s and flipping alive cards to dead.

    Hello, hoping you can help as Hasbro can’t seem to answer my questions and directed me to your video 🙃
    When playing a +2 card in the game, is the picking up of cards considered the opponents turn? Or do they then get to put down a card once they have picked up?
    Example, player A puts down a +2 card. Player B and C pick up two cards each. Whose turn is next?
    Likewise, when playing a bomb card, is the playing of a ‘0’ card or turning over a life considered the opponents turn?
    For example, Player A puts down a bomb. Player B puts down a ‘0’ card and player C turns over a life. Whose turn is next?
    Please help settle this so I don’t have to divorce my husband 😆

      LMAO! Thats amazing, thank you for letting me know.
      In the +2 scenario *Also +1* they wouldn't lose a turn, just everyone other than the card player draws cards, and continues normally. Same with the bomb as well.

    When we use the reshuffle card, do we reshuffle and distribute equally or how? Help!
    And if its distributed one by one and there is an odd number of cards. Does the other person get an extra card?

    • @cloverihardlyknowher5190
      @cloverihardlyknowher5190 2 года назад +3

      Yeah I think you're supposed to deal the cards and if the distribution is uneven, that's that and some players will just have more/less cards. However, you can always alter how you play the game so you could give the person(s) an extra card or take one away so everyone has the same amount of cards

    What happens if a bomb is played and it results in multiple people playing their last card? Maybe the player playing the bomb as well as a few playing 0's?

    • @mellowxyellow
      @mellowxyellow Год назад

      Did you ever find an answer for this? My family found a similar situation with the bomb being the last card and if it resulted in the round ending vs opponents having to play a zero and lose 2 lives instead of one (one if they don't have a zero and one for the round ending).
      For this situation I would say maybe since the person playing the bomb was the first to use all their cards, they'd get priority and win the round. If they didn't use all their cards then the person who played a zero as their last card wins the round (if there are multiples then they all win - both against bomb and the round) and everyone else loses a life (possibly two)?

    • @mclarenguy22
      @mclarenguy22 Год назад

      Would it not be essentially a race to see who puts a 0 down first and thus removing a life from the others? The vlogger here does use the key word ‘immediately’ which suggests this. The last card being the Bomb getting priority and taking lives off the others sounds reasonable.

    If the last card that someone drops is a wild card do we still have to do that action or does it automatically go back to the beginning to getting 10 cards ?

    • @MDG-mykys
      @MDG-mykys 2 года назад +2

      Probably ends automatically, since I don't think there's a wild card that negate the dropping of a last card.

      What if the last card played is a bomb? Do all opponents still have to play a zero and if they can't they'd potentially lose 2 lives (1 for not having a zero and 1 for the round ending)? Or does the bomb just count as a last card and everyone loses 1 life and the game resets? The rulebook only calls out the redeal card specifically as a wild that ends the round.

    I have a question. Avid card games and board game player here with my grandkids. We have been playing this game now for two weeks just like you described. But never have we encountered a scenario where someone Hass to go over 21. Someone always has a wild card in their hand. It feels to me is if there’s something amiss in the rules. I hope this is making sense. Anyone else encountering the same issue? Perhaps we are doing something wrong. Thanks for any help you can give.

    • @MDG-mykys
      @MDG-mykys 2 года назад +1

      I guess losing a life when you can't stay under 21 is just for good measure.
      It's actually good that you have wild card most of the times, because if you get to exactly 21 or really close and no one or only a few players can play cards then everyone starts loosing life every turn until one remains and the game is already over. (since you don't draw cards)

    • @BowersGameCorner

      If I understood correctly, only some of the wild cards made the pile total go down to 0. For some of them the number stayed the same. Maybe that's what you've missed? :)
