What I’m wondering is, how does 425 get a SP 6 Chime, and 4449 doesn’t? Yes, another commend said this, so this is an agreement comment. But still, I love that SP 6 Chime on 425, and the whistle in general. It’s always hits different on 425 compared to when other locos wear that same whistle.
Well, in service on the SP she had a long bell 3 chime similar to what she has now, but back in the earlier decades of excursions after she was restored she had a SP 6 Chime as well. It was an old one from either a Cab-Forward or GS-6 (I forgot which.)
