As an ex realism illustrator I always end up doing full on shade work, but I love the economy and efficiency of the stipple technique and the finished effect, I really need to crack on and work on mastering the technique and include it in some of my designs. not "perfect" as the whip shading was out of the line where he first placed the needle and whipped it inside. you can see many spots where he starts the whipping motion outside of the line
Did you already try the new dragonhawk deluxe cartridges? I tryed a few needle groupings and very expressed! They are more stable and the tip fits exactly to the needle groupings..

Great work as usual, I noticed you do shading right after lining sometimes. So you keep the same voltage as lining for shading?
