Wow! These are wonderfull figures and you have really nailed the difference between the cotton helmet cammo cloth, the kakhi shrapnel vest and the Olive drab uniforms, lovely work.
Gav troops are superb if I worked in this period of history I would buy these from you without thinking about it , you have made a very good job of these and I'm sure anyone who models this time would be proud to have these figures in their army , well done mate take care terry
Gavin I have more models coming in the mail!!! Lol🤣!!! I think that you did a outstanding job painting the figures Marra and I'm looking forward to seeing that truck!!
Nice work marra, looks great! Looking forward to the NVA figures 👍🏻 and yes, hard to compete with mr stash add 😂😂in a league of his own 😊 Regards /Fredrik
Great stuff as usual, Marra!!! (Some of your best work, IMO!) Particularly nice work on the basing. (Loads of specific detail there...) You've absolutely captured the 'Nam/Hue look. Any collector who knows the subject/era will snap these up if they go to sale. You might (if you haven't already...) read the novel 'Fields Of Fire' by James Webb, now a US Senator but once a USMC Platoon Leader in 'Nam in the late '60's. (The best Viet-Nam novel I've ever read. Even better than 'The 13th Valley'!!!) Can't wait to see what you do with the VC/NVA figures! xx SF
Thanks for the kind words Steve to be honest the only fiction i read is Napoleonic navel stuff like Jack Aubrey or Harry Potter ! I have a large library and its mostly military non fiction subjects with a few steam locomotives . But thanks marra i will have some more of this range to unbox in the next couple of days . Regards Gav,
If your looking for a great looking plastic marine rubicon gives you 30 figures for $52 usd and their more proportionate. I was a m60 machine gunner in the 90s and I too love the Vietnam war as a history buff. I will say I think your basing is top notch about the best I’ve seen
Thanks for the kind words yes i have seen the Rubicon figures Corey from scale model inc channel unboxed some last week . I might get the odd vehicle to go with the figures but as always its money ! Regards Gav.
Hi some times i make the cans out of old model sprue i cut them to size then paint , you can also use the plastic tubes used to protect paint brushes just fill in one end and the last is the good old cocktail stick cut to size you can shape it to resemble a crushed can . Hope that helps . Regards Gav.
