I'm a metal head as well. Funny thing is people who oddly attract to this type of music interestingly enough are the people who are secretly broken. You know the type of people who have a loving family but still feel empty. The people who are rocks in the eyes of everybody around them while secretly hurting. People who find this soothing could close their eyes and quickly find several reasons to pinch a tear. Some people that pinched tear could be just what you need. This music attracts wonderering souls. You may even think that there is nobody in the world whos brain is wired like yours with compassion, integrity, courage and love. Feel alone but loved by all. Worry more about others than yourself. You ever have that feeling that you want to be closer to the earth but not really even quite sure you understand yourself what that even means or how to achieve it? That's the empty void that you feel even though you are showered with love. These are brains that are taking the first baby steps into a new evolutionary phase. JS.

Just to put things into perspective: you have so many people in your life that you GET to feel this way. Some people are completely alone for real due to injury or disability for example and wish they had the "burden" of so many loved ones looking up to them. To have loved ones to begin with. I'm not trying to take away from your pain, I hope you find the love and healing you deserve. Just trying to add a positive perspective. From one metal head to another who enjoys flute music too. Haha.
Sometimes a peaceful cry is need to wash the stress of life in general. This does it for me. When life feels blegh and somber cry can feel great. To all you weary travelers take some time here just to feel for your self.
As Brit, born of Italian parents, I always had this strong resonance to the Celtic Culture. Feeling totally alien to the culture and ways of my parents. Now I realise that your souls ancestry may be very different to your physical ancestry. I have such a deep adoration of Celtic Culture and people. I've been to Scotland a few times and felt so at home there and I have the best Scottish accent any one who is not Scottish could have. Ireland is next. Both so incredibly beautiful. Sometimes I think we chose to be born into a culture where we feel we don't belong, to be catapulted back to our souls ancestral home. When I hear Celtic music, I feel like I am home. This is all that matters.

Visited both countries and have an unbelievable connection to home and that I've been there before, in a past life I guess, and I didn't want to leave from the place where I felt I should be. Just stumbled across this. This is awesome as I like mid evil and music from the renaissance period. I play piano and have the gift of reconstructing music just by listening to it a few times. No one picks their heritage- it's chance. We have nothing to do with it. I'm Irish and Swedish. My mom was born in Sweden. When I was 9 , at breakfast one St Patrick's day, an Irish song came on the radio, and she commented that she never did care for that particular song. Well smart Alice little 9 year old me, pushed back my chair and flounced out of the kitchen off to school, shouting back to mom, "you don't like it because you're not Irish like me and Daddy." 😊 Right away, I was sorry I said that , but mom was laughing and said that is probably true. These beautiful songs are indeed born in Ireland but they reach out and touch all the hearts the world over. That's how I see it. So if you like the music, you as much an Irishman or woman as anyone .❤😊
This is honestly my go to relax and chill song because my girl and i before we were together were both listening to this when we admitted our crushes on eachother and it has almost been a year now and this song always brings me back to that moment, thank you God for my dear lady 😍😌

You get a lot of comments complaining about the repetition of the music, but honestly it works for what it is. I'm not putting this on to sit down and listen to like a Tool album. I'm putting it on for background ambiance while I'm writing or whatever else. It IS repetitive, but that doesn't take away from the atmosphere it provides.

Native American Flute is peaceful to listen to as well, especially the ones with forest sounds.
I ended up here from Symphony X of all places. Not sure what Celtic flute music has to do with the power metal rendition of John Milton's Paradise Lost, but oh well!

I am 45% Scottish, Irish, English and Welsh. When I listen to this music I feel like I'm walking with my ancestors and bloodline. Absolutely beautiful.

Right away, I was sorry I said that , but mom was laughing and said that is probably true.

You get a lot of comments complaining about the repetition of the music, but honestly it works for what it is. I'm not putting this on to sit down and listen to like a Tool album. I'm putting it on for background ambiance while I'm writing or whatever else. It IS repetitive, but that doesn't take away from the atmosphere it provides.
