@@pusphraj3484 Hello, thank you for watching. There were no plans to get to the AoT finale ASAP, so I don’t consider it to be late or delayed, this was by design. I was not going to watch it before doing an entire series rewatch, which is what I’m doing at the moment, when I get a chance. Vinland Saga hasn’t been dropped, it will be finished. There are updates in this pinned comment you are replying to. S2 was never an early access series, it always went straight to YT, with additional stuff available on Patreon for those who were interested.
Dude, the Hisoka discussion segment was a breath of fresh air. I think we are naturally curious of those who don’t necessarily conform to our moral standards. We are afraid others will mistake our curiosity for approval, though, so we often repress our feelings or reject them outright to make sure we are not associated with them. It’s a bit of a shame because it hinders some people from enjoying some of these incredible characters they aren’t morally aligned with. It’s awesome that you don’t put on an act for the camera and dismiss Hisoka because he’s problematic. In fact, your unreserved interest in him is one of my favorite parts of your discussions and reactions. Keep it up!
Too many people don't understand that "liking a character" doesn't mean you want to hang out with them, but rather you want to see them on screen because they bring something special to the scene. People also mislabel Hisoka as a pedo when he's clearly a groomer. The line is blurred because he gets gratification from combat, so these events are basically foreplay for him.
The characters one likes and doesn't say a lot about a person, and that's what people are afraid of. However, the interpretation is way more nuanced and complex than most are able to read into, so the majority just jump into assumptive labels, which are inaccurate.
Lets not play nice though, Hisoka isn't just a "groomer" he IS by definition a pedo, the definition is someone who's sexually attracted to children, and Hisoka is interested in both adults and children, he enjoys beating and getting beaten by Gon and its sexual enjoyment. And if he was just a groomer and never fought Gon, thats almost like being a pedo, wanting a child to grow into a form you'll enjoy is crazy
@@knightcommander5694 You say this but 1) people did talk about it just not as much, and 2) If you saw this shit in national tv in your country, you may not think its "bad" but surely you'd think its weird and you'll understand if people thought his character was wayy too weird, simply because of a culture clash, we are used to anime shenanigans most people aren't used to
I've only discovered your channel recently, but you have no idea how much I appreciate your attention to detail. It's clear that you have a passion for this, and it's not just about getting attention or making money. I recently shared my frustrations on a popular channel that does reactions to this anime. It's unbelievable how many reactors misjudge the characters and the plot. It seems like people's attention spans for good stories have faded, and they only want hype and action. You and Togashi have a similar love and appreciation for people's emotions and thought patterns. Your high emotional intelligence allows you to keep up with everything without criticizing the story or deeming the adventures irrelevant. "Hunter x Hunter" is my favorite anime of all time. I've watched it multiple times, but every time I watch your videos, I learn something new about it. Isn't it interesting that a show with a seemingly simple plot has so much depth? I have a feeling that you have experienced rough times in your life or have been part of a healthy community that deeply appreciates one another. This is evidenced by how you can enjoy the little moments like an innocent kid and appreciate the small things. This is exactly what Togashi was trying to teach us with this story :)
I just LOOOVE the purely adorable interaction between Gon and Hisoka at the end. It's so innocent.... as if they are old friends, or the same age, or the same skill level, none of which are the case....as if they didn't get acquainted while Hisoka almost strangled him to death ....as if there was no controversial and conflictual history between them. Absolutely adorable.
I also love Hisoka and I love Togashi for the audacity of making a character like him so important and prominent in this story. It's obvious that most writers would avoid creating a character like this out of fear of being "too weird" lol Having the audacity to create weird characters/situations and the skill to make them interesting is amazing. It's one of the reason I find GRRM so great too
It’s really just such a joy to listen to your discussions, man. You got me thinking about Hunter x Hunter as an archetypal coming-of-age where this innocent child raised in nature comes into the nasty world, and how Hisoka-much like Bisky, as you point out-acts almost as a bridge between both worlds, of the child and the adult. Both Hisoka and Bisky emulate childishness-Hisoka’s powers are named after candy, his flamboyance and youthful boyishness, even his, er, perversion is coded toward childhood…Bisky’s desire is to stay this youthful figure, but both of them tread in worlds of violence and death and even relish in that struggle for strength and power (Bisky less so, it seems, but still). I love what you said that Gon and Killua can learn from Hisoka’s eccentricities: he’s an outsider to every world but his own, he moves between these different worlds and becomes a bridge for these children to learn about what awaits them. Just fantastic character writing, and one of the reasons why Hisoka feels so sympathetic sometimes: he constantly aids our protagonists even if his intentions are purely selfish.
17:48 It's quite fascinating how Hisoka is so damn expressive from so little, like an eye movement, being a character with a definingly unchangeable facial expression throughout most of the series.
Besides your analytical power, I think one of the biggest reasons you're my favorite reactor is precisely your "openness", both emotionally and intellectually. It annoys me a bit when I see reactors reacting in an overly negative and closed-off way to anything with even the slightest of nuance (the intense hatred for Marley and Gabi from some people during s4 of AoT is an example) You're very emotionally mature while also being intellectually honest, it's the perfect combination for what I'm looking for in reactors
Something I just noticed is that Hisoka is the only person in this game that we know of who recognises how strong Biscuit is at first glance. She's underestimated a loooot in this arc, and there are more experienced Hunters who don't give us a judgement "at first sight" like Tsezgera or Razor, but those who do always underestimate her except Hisoka. edit: You kind of discuss it too a bit later!
Yes but also he looked at Goreinu first, so Bisky's cover is still pretty solid, Hisoka is just insanely perceptive ^^ I like it when a scene is able to convey that 2 characters on opposite sides are good at what they're doing, it happens a lot in HxH...it doesn't have to be "one is strong one is weak" one-sided kind of exposition
@@CR-hj2hk "Yes but also he looked at Goreinu first" I mean sure but there's 50% chance so that tells us nothing about whether that was a coincidence or not.
I love Hisoka, the series does such a great job of showcasing that he is what he is. But not glorifying it at all. He's is a fantastic and nuanced character
Fun (Or potentially not so fun) fact. It is heavily implied that Hisoka did get..."stiff" in the manga too. In one pannel, his speech bubbles cover his crotch just below his pelvis, and in the next panel, the speech bubble covers higher up pelvis and not as far down...
32:17 "If you look at the eyes, it certainly tells a story.... " :)))) Now that's gotta be the most in detail take I've seen a reactor have the balls to make on that particular scene. Oh Im, you really are something.
I don't think there's a character in all of fiction that's more himself than Hisoka. Side Note, the bath scene in the manga was censored by speech bubbles. The "moment" in question is just two panels, both with Hisoka standing and his speech bubble in the groin, but in the second panel, the speech bubble is slightly higher
I find it really interesting that you have a draw towards isekai! Personally I really love the concept of it too, but not what the genre is right now. I think that the genre is currently more of a joke than played straight, and even the ones that are more serious, are more of a deconstruction of the jokey type. Probably the first "isekai" type story I remember watching and still adore it's execution to this day, is Digimon Adventure, the 1999 anime. The english dub used it as a template to make jokes at it's expense, and never treated it seriously or respectfully, but in it's original language, it's a lovely watch. I have a draw toward stories where a protagonist is transported to a different world, it can be fantasy or just a different time period, and personally I intend to check older shows to satiate that curiosity rather than look at current isekai stories.
12:36 "I love him, I love him, man" ......tell me about it. The intrigue peaks whenever he's on screen, even when not doing anything. Just a sneaky vixeny glance and a sexy smirk that express the mystery of endless possibilities which is Hisoka.....god, he's so damn fascinating.
@@KareemK-jl3sj Although I always want more Hisoka screen time, I will have to agree with that sublime precision in his appearances.... which is what also creates that feeling of wanting more of.
Doing something that raises the tension and most likely makes the other person uncomfortable, basically being invasive in whichever way, is a great way to assess the other person. The way in which they perceive the situation and choose to act will say SO much about them. That's what Hisoka does on a daily basis (to other characters as well as the audience - ha ha - in reference to the creepy butt stare, but not only) In fact, for him, this comes so naturally, that he doesn't do it for a particular purpose, it's just part of his (distinctly entertaining) mannerisms; it's part of his Essence.

He never denied that he wasn’t in this video though. Hisoka staring at their butts, there is no spin on it you can do on that scene that isn’t pedofilic. Sure Hisoka would not give the time of day if Gon or Killua weren’t filled with potential, but strong kids are still kids.
Bro can u react to monster anime plz?
