Honestly if i could choose a way to go out this would be it. These ceremonies are so beautiful and even with grief everyone celebrates happily for the one who passed on. Its so much nicer than the typical funerals where everyone is sad and upset. I wish these or something similar would replace the "normal funerals". I don't know enough people that would be able to make something like this happen for me one day, but watching these, its such a beautiful ceremony. If anyone ever cared enough about me to do a funeral at all, id like something like this.

Chanced upon this video, who was this man? I found a short obit & it seems an awful lot of people loved him, but there's nothing on Wikipedia to tell me anything more than the basics; would love for someone in the know to fill me in.

have you thought about the fact that maybe they're doing this out of respect for his final wishes? your comment is very insensitive to those left behind by his death. so take your crusade elsewhere.

Why did the guy in the water dive ?
Might been his dad and wanted to feel the ashes on himself as a sign of love and so he always feel there with him? I'm not sure
