Thornymancer: a Fishymancer with an Edge bow. What will give these guys trouble is ranged attackers. You can always peel off a few points from Revive and or CE and work your way towards a crowd-controller like Dim Vision or Attract. Llama shows his HC roots when he talks about resistances; I've never found them to be an issue running one of these in SC. Just never get out in front of your troops, and consider switching to Clay Golem in Hell areas where off-screen lightning killers can be aggro'd by a Fire Golem. And this is a mana-burner in crowded areas, so if you can get the runes for an Insight weapon, consider making one for your merc.
23:40 I agree. I only have one complaint about corpses is cold destroying them and the poly skill Redemption that takes the hole room. At least with the druid it takes them one by one or if it is the wolves or the spirit(I cant remember if it clears the hole room).

Another fun thing is adding thorns from an edge bow to spirit of barbs. Talk about deadly minions with two return damage enchantments.

It most likely is insane, but: Turning the Edge bow into an iron golem... for MORE THORNS and damage reflect, getting multiplied by amplify damage curse. Just out of curiosity I would love to try this. Even though the golem would probably die and not do much against a lot of enemies, but it would be interesting to see how high the numbers can be stacked.

I really don't like that any summon necro build isn't really a summoner, but just a build that uses skeletons/golems/revives for distractions and to kill just one initial target, while you're *actually* playing a corpse explosion build. Like as far as the damage ratio goes it's like 20% summons 80% explosions at some points.
You can always make a pure summon build with revives and maxed out golem. People use CE cause good luck getting through he’ll without it, you’d die from boredom
Will you edit you necro icy veins , with an BiS thorns version of summon necro or make an extra icy veins page for it ? Nice play though vid I like it ❤
No. The aura does not add up if on two diffefent chars. It only adds up if you wear multiple items which gives that aura on one char, for example bow+bramble or dream Helmet+shield
Mr Llama, I'd like to see you killing the Ancients with my favourite Abominable bears. They also do a nasty stun attack and can be a serious problem if they catch you on narrow space.
edge bow on mec with life regen with blood golem and put some points into life tap will fix the bow destination for mec then you can run any wep and shield with your necro
A Speedrun rule that bans use of exploiting game mechanics to even qualify would be great for everyone. Also speed running should be at its base completing all quests also since it is about beating the game, not skipping quests to rush through and killing the final boss.
there's essentially Any% which is anything goes and is mostly used, but 100% could be a thing as well (all wps, quests, etc) though it has less playability currently
I’ve just killed hell as a necro. Coming back to the game after a co long long time. Awesome, good times. After finishing it on hell kinda lost motivation a little. What’s there I’m missing? Rocking 2 spirits(weapon/shield) lvl 80 now, living off corpse explosion and merc 😂
i had 20.necro s back in the day..amplify + corpse explosion was alright even 20 years ago...except we didnt have all these fancy silly OP runewords... we played the game in groups and paladin had thorns..and barb did his shouts and so on..nothing new for me..except a dumb runeword that shouldnt be alowed to necro character.
i wamt to see you on Hell diff running around mobs like you do here with 400 hp:) and a bow...where you die and all your revives dissapear..😂 having no bone armour and shield...

Same. Lama is on of my fave necro players. Watching him speed run HC is entertaining to say the least.
I’ve played summoner for years and Blessed aim is slept on hard. It makes your summons actually do damage and hit
Could essentially use a1 merc to use inner sight spell which is also slept on. Can also equip her with edge bow

Missile weapons aren't made of metal so you cannot make an iron golem out of them.

@@blank5210Summoner is a good build if you have already endgame gear like Enigma, Beast and all the other stuff like skiller charms torch anni etc.

You CAN play without CE, it's just going to be slower on dense packs.

For the stamina argument, could the stamina draining monsters not just be replaced with a mob that has a temporary slow effect?

Once you get the NM might Merc, put a Obedience on him and you can put enchant on them summons again.
Obedience casts only enchant on the person who uses it. So only the merc will get the enchant proc, no one else

I’ve been able to get skele mages to do good dps, has to be ur whole build tho. They can solo baal with no other summons
