I am surprised that S. Velingkar was brought on HW news to comment being said that he is a senior politician. I can tell you that he doesn’t have even 1% of the following in Goa.
This man was in RSS then formed Bharitya Bhasha Suraksha Manch, then Goa Suraksha Manch and now Bharat Mata Ki Jai. Is it not sounding like Hindus Khatre mein Hai?
He himself admitted that BJP has cheated on the issue of mother tongue? Which language? Which mother tongue? Marathi? On the basis of language keep the poor people poor or give backdoor entry to Marathi as the official language of Goa? One of the member of BBSM is Shashikala Kakodkar who is the daughter of the then chief minister Dayanand Bandodkar who wanted to merge Goa into Maharashtra, also protagonist of Marathi language as the mother tongue of Goans.
This people from time to time has done nothing but bring some 15-20 guys to demonstrate against the government on the issue of language. But the public at large has not paid heed to them.
Also Revolutionary Goans Party is not mentioned.
U mentioned about BBSM, that's Bharatiy Bhasha Suraksha Manch...so don't u think Konkani is Bharatiy Bhasha? Why only sticking to Marathi? BBSM fought for both languages as mother tongue. So ur concept of Marathi and Maharshtra is out of sense. In the past it may have lead the opinion poll to declare Goa as seperate identity and not to be merged in Maharashtra, but u also must be aware that the Majority Hindu and Marathi, Konkani speaking community did vote for Goa as seperate identity in that poll.
Its far better than the divisive , seperatist mindset led by RG party which is working to seperate out Goa entirely from Indian links. Connect all the dots of running invasion and Annexation campaign online, praising Portuguese, calling Maratha as attackers, conspiracy POGO bill, joining with the seperatist minds, this ideology of RG must be thrown out sooner..
