My friend has been living alone for a couple of years now, and he's found so much peace in it. He always talks about how the quiet mornings and personal space help him recharge. It’s like he’s rediscovered a part of himself. Living alone isn’t loneliness; it’s freedom. Thank you for this reminder!
Excellent points in this video! Now 74 and living alone for the last 5 years and love it. Big bonus; don't get sick anymore! You get those nasty viruses from other people in close quarters.
I like my space. I love my sailboat. bonsai, German sport cars. overland 4x4, archery, fermenting foods, airplane building project, bow hunting my own meat, cooking international peasant food and preserving it, peace and quiet without an old woman trying to manage me into fetching gifts for her grandkids from my Mercedes trunk. I answer calls and the front door, only when i want to. My grandsons love my space and they cry when they have to go home. They are 4 and 2 years old. I often make a 3 course meal at 2 am whenever I like. At my place, NO one tells me what to do.
it's good to hear I'm not alone with this phase of my life. I don't want to travel (I always thought I would but I just don't), I don't want to go out to restaurants or games, plays, or concerts. I justwant to be left alone so I can work and do projects around the house. I can't explain it to others but it's where I am
I’ve been on my own for 20 years. Apart from 4 lovely daughters, I’ve never been happier. I hate socialising, love doing what I want to do when I want to do it. 😊
Overall I fare prefer living alone however I do find the soul-destroying isolation, the absence of meaningful social engagement, the paucity of recreational opportunities and the resultant never going out of my apartment unless I have to, amount to a pretty crappy way to live. Alone is fine; isolation is destructive.
This whole living alone thing was never in my radar . I kinda got pushed into it slowly mentally and physically. I say this because I’ve always loved being around people . I grew up in a family of 12!! So living alone was never in my mind’s eye - I never thought about . Until I was diagnosed with cancer 3 years ago ! That changed everything ! I had six people living with me when I was diagnosed with cancer . And it took two years to clear them all out my house ! Including 3 dogs! Never again will I allow people to live with me - not friends, family or relatives! Especially, family and relatives! They cause more stress and anxiety than anyone I know. I absolutely love living alone!

So sad
That guy on the floor, stretching those big rubber bands with his feet...NEEDS TO WEAR GOGGLES... SERIOUSLY !!!
You do what you feel is OK for you! No need to listen to mumbo jumbo from strange people.
I agree with you to stop the brainwash !
