Hi All,
This video is part of our offbeat Bandipur to Mudumalai trip. In last couple of videos we have shown following :
In this video, we have come to Masinagudi and stayed in Secret Ivory Resort. This resort is very unique and famous because of two reason
- The entire crew and cast of oscar winning movie Elephant whisperer were based in this location during shooting. The owner of this resort and our safari guide (you will meet him in next video) were part of the crew. You can feel that pride when you stay here.
- This is the last resort in Masinagudi forest area bordering reserve forest and the tree house we stayed is adjacent to reserve forest one can experience wildlife from the top of the treehouse throughout the day and night.

which torch are you using to spot the animals?
You can buy any torch which has spot light .. We bought one from FB ads … Random one
I don't think those gates will stop Bears and Leopards coming up on the tree house...🧐🧐
Not sure but just to be safe we should follow the guidelines of resort .. Leopards can come on the tree anytime..not sure about this place as we have not experienced that here .. but if any of them comes up not sure what will happen;)

Hi, Thanks for watching our video. This place is in Masinagudi.. You need to reach Bangalore airport or Mysore.. From mysore it's around 2.5 hours by cab. It's open throughout the year. They will arrange safari in Masinagudi Range. Along with that you must cover Bandipur and Mudumalai.. These are same range.. You can also opt for Wayanad if time permits. Costing for the resort shared in details in this video.. Hope this information will help you.
