While I apreciate the remaster for updating the visuals, gameplay and some songs from the original, I don't think it should have released in 2021. It was just too early to remaster a game from 2010, especially when we have other Sonic games like Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic 2006, Secret Rings, etc, that could have been remastered instead and greatly improved, since they are older and less polished.
@@rafaelpereiragomes1735 I agree, I would’ve much preferred for Unleashed or Sonic Adventure 1/2 to be remastered. Sonic colours should’ve been just upscaled and ported.
@@SG_Reviews Everything Unleashed needs is consistent frame rate, which should be easier with more advanced consoles. The graphics from that game are already top-notch, they don't need any upscaling. Also giving some extra control options. Maybe changing the level design if necessary. However, I absolutely think every game up to 2007 can get its own remaster. Imagine Secret Rings with updated graphics and controls, that would be awesome. Sonic Heroes, as well. Imagine fixing the Special Stages, especially since they already have done that in Sonic Generations 3DS. And it doesn't have to be excluded to console games. The Advance games and Rush could and should get remastered, too. Can you imagine playing Advance 1's Special Stages with a smoother depth perception? That would be the 2nd coming of Christ.
I never liked Colors. It's mostly the writing. This smack dab in the middle of the dark age of Sonic games. They dropped all ambitions of telling a good narrative. Everyone is a wacky over exaggerated caricature of themselves. And continuity? What is that? The 2010's were beyond terrible to Sonic.

It was... Weird. Kept having to customize my controls every stage and my little cousin found that a boring drag.

I agree, colours was an okay game (gameplay-wise) but the story was very bad. I'd say Frontiers was probably the end of the 2010 era of Sonic.
@@SG_Reviews Frontiers is fantastic! Even though it could use a bit more polish it's leaps and bounds above what Sonic had been for over a decade.
I agree, I think Sonic X Shadow Generations will be much more polished and I’ll be live streaming it on October 22nd!
