i am 69 was a drummer, anyway, three tears ago i discovered the cure .........thats all i listen too now ........and it just gets deeper and deeper into a different musical world....amazing
He is a musical genius who is well balanced between his masculine and feminine energies. A state of which is hard to attain for much men today. Brilliant, sensitive and an evolved human BEING!
Very well said about Robert Smith. The boss of The CURE. Friendly (and peaceful) from France. Love The CURE since I was a teenager. Now I'm 56 & I do still listen to their Music
If this does not move you, if you do not feel and see the pain, the passion, the despair, the longing, memories of unspeakable love, that one person, if you do not hear the sound of his heart breaking flowing through his words and music, you should check your pulse. This, this ...what an extremely beautiful gift shared with us.
How amazing it is that someone I'll probably never meet has had such an impact on my whole life? And thousands around the world, just like me. Thank you for posting this. It's a treasure.
I remember that my brother his response to loosing David Bowie was just too hard I just wanted to thank u all for allowing me to read your love for The Cure
...And the rain would cry... Don't Let It End. No one else builds lyrics of such deep powerful emotion. This is beyond any other words than what's in the song.
A very humble guy so what if his face doesn't fit in today's shit world of so called music even the cures intros are way above any musical cloud the drivel other bands put out and Robert writes it a genius like no other I love being different and love the cure for giving us music from another planet !
@@deedies1 Thanks Diane for comments seen the cure 11 times met Robert can't wait for next album! I see glmr shee 's language sums the comments up cure fans don't listen to negative comments the cure is the cure !! Made me smile but oh so sad !
Cure fans are fans for their own reasons, regardless of what others think. I've been a Cure fan since 1985. I also like Death Metal, Rythem and Blues, and lots of other stuff. But the Cure is and always will be special..
Love the way Robert Smith is playing the guitar ! So sensual and moving. He's in own world, in his mind & shares it with the audience. He seems to be so sad and tired. He's a Legend, à great artist. All my respects ! Love him & The CURE since I was a teenager. It's the same in june 2022. Don't let it end this haunting sound please ! And love his guitars where we can see : CITIZEN NOT SUBJECT !
I saw the Kiss Me tour in Seattle. My first Cure tape was Head on the Door. I was hooked. I remember buying the Kiss Me tape and “cassingles” for the b sides like Breathe and A Chain of Flowers. Always nice to connect with other Cure fans.
Yeah, Head on the Door and Kiss Me are undeniably good. There's just something about their music that Cure fans "get." It's so unique, so artistic, so beautiful. I first heard them when I was 8. My older sister had Standing on A Beach, and some other tapes friends had recorded for her. My first favorite Cure songs were Lovecats, The Caterpillar, and Boys Don't Cry. By the time Wish came out and the radio started to play the songs from it, that's when I got obsessed. My sister liked them in a casual way, but I loved them to point of loyalty and devotion. When I see The Cure in concert, I feel a connection with Robert Smith. It's very healing.
I was there as well and what a night! no words to describe it . I am almost 50 and I have been listening to them since I was 14 and never got tired of it. Thanks for the video. Another great concert and as all the others I saw it will stay in my heart forever.
I love the Cure. I’m a massive Bowie fan and he loved the Cure. There’s great footage of Robert And David singing together at a Bowie Concert - Robert was a big Bowie fane too. Btw I’m 72!!!!!
Fuck me thats strong.! I get a feeling it's about his mom passing away? Allways seen this as traditional lovesong, but in a existential/death (lovesong) perspective it really gets you fucking hard. Robert I love you man and you make me laugh and cry. THANK YOU!!
This is one of my favourite Cure songs and watching this performance made me want to hug Robert so bad. He was really singing his heart out. I like that he's not afraid to be emotional on stage while performing. Thank you for sharing this lovely video.
Yes so agree with you and he is just perfect, sounds great and better each year passing, love his mannerism and shyness and of course his chin dimple is to die for!!💚💙🎸
Robert's mother died not too long before this tour I think. He usually cries during the new song he wrote for her, but surprised he did it here. I remember the last show of the Prayer Tour back in 89 they played Faith and it felt like they had to stop it early because he couldn't get through it.
@@buffy8021 sorry for the late reply. just saw this. I'm not a 100% sure, but if I had to guess he got too emotional. Felt like he started to cry and couldn't get through it.
