Great minds think alike! I have a similar project but using a Grand Prix 2+2! I commissioned Jim Rogers to make a street spoiler for me (I need to clean it up just a bit and then resin cast it), and I even have decals that match the street car. This winter I need to get this project going again!
Nice Video. Been thinking about a build like that since about the time you started yours and never got around to it. Come to think about it, maybe I'm building something like that right now. 🤔😄
Love it I do these... those bodies look awsome to do for the street...Now I would love to see them bring back American trans am series or iroc racing cars back in models
Interesting concept. I might consider doing something like that, a '69 Torino, perhaps even go back to an earlier post war race car. Yeah I know, I'm kinda stuck in the '50s mode. That's kinda my thing! Also I am experimenting with using iron on patches for carpeting. And nylon liners for this, and headliners. Works fairly well so far.
@@TheLukaCeeChannel What I have gotten done so far looks real good. Two '40 sedan builds that are close to done. The first one is a recent AMT repop, tan iron on patch, cut into two pieces onnne for the floor for the back seat, ending at where the front seat back attached and for the front floor board. When it is buttoned up it won't show. The package tray I'd done in 1/64th birch plywood, nice grain pattern. The second oneis an Ertl repop, it has the package tray is done with a dark brown iron on patch. This one, the entire floorboard is doine in a lighter brown patch. I cut little notches in the patch so I could glue the front seat down. The headliner on the first one was a peel and stick cloth patch, that was a real pain in the butt to place it. So with the second one I got some Evergreen thin plastic sheets,. Traced the outline on the center of the glass piece, marked a 1/32 roughly outside that to cut it to size, and attach this to the clear plastic to come close to the windows. Now I will cement the iron on patch tto the Evergreen piece, and cement this to the clear plastic to simulate a headliner. This should work out pretty well, I think. The iron on patch kits can be gotten at most super markets. I use eco flow leather cement for gluing the patch down the cloth looks fairly good for this. I am thinking about cutting some of the extra pach pieces, to simulate floor mats for the front floorboard. This with the iron one glue face up. This should look close to real rubber floor mats. I'll let you know how this works out.
Interesting! Cool idea. I remember back in the late 80s, someone in town had a stock 86 TBird done up like Bill Eliott. Come to find out he had 2 and a 69 Talledega.
Oh man I would LOVE to have an actual IROC full race Camaro from the 80's (or another IROC Z with thec5.7L--I've owned 2-- or for that matter another V8 mid 80's Grand Prix--I owned one mid 90's--my first 80's Monte SS), awesome concept, my friend 😁✌️
don't fill bad .since last year I've had to put at least 12 cars on hold for temporary.since 2019 I've been going for kidney dials for at 3 times a week.but I'm still doing good.im doing the best I can.some day I'll try to sell most ove my models and trucks.not built.
I did a Buick GNX!Used the chassis,Motor and Body from the NACAR,but put in all the interior, wheels, front and back from the GNX!Greetz from Germany!
That sounds very COOL
Wow you really need to go back and redo the kit what a Killer idea thanks enjoyed👍
Very cool! I've thought about doing the same thing many times, just never did it. I may have to do it now!
Very cool idea.
Love it.
You BETTER!
Cool fun project! Hope to see it done!
Might not finish this one. But I will be doing that Grand Prix idea
@@TheLukaCeeChannel Strike while the irons hot!
Loved the old Montes....I had a 78
I have had the same idea. I just think it would be a fun build.🤠👍

We need to talk. 😉
Your decals are playing a part in the Grand Prix I'm talking about doing.

You should. It's such a cool concept
Man that is a cool idea!!! I think I have the perfect kit to do this with too! Thanks for sharing.
Go for it. It would be cool to see a bunch of these built. I'm going to start a new one. I could do it better, now.
Love it I do these... those bodies look awsome to do for the street...Now I would love to see them bring back American trans am series or iroc racing cars back in models
Trans Am is back. 😁
Cool as always.
I found at least about ten NASCAR models never been. built in a box in the garage.all sealed yet.
Super cool Luka! Just picked up this monte also. What a cool concept.
Seeing the Velvet carpet sure brought back some great modeling memories!!!! 😊
Tell me about it.
What a cool concept Luka. Thanks for sharing it. Ron

Really cool, I’m pretty sure Kid Rock has an older Dale Earnhardt NASCAR that he put lights etc. in to be street legal-ish.
I'd like to see that.

Just like a car, when a project stalls, does not mean you won't ever start it again.
You said, Mark.😁👍
Done this conversion many times when I wanted a car body only offered in a NASCAR kit.
