OP, here is NO safe way to do that. Those trolleys aren’t DESIGNED to endure driving speeds, and especially not on public roads. So quite frankly, I’m amazed the wheels didn’t shatter or fly off, and kill him sooner, because they’re typically made of freaking plastic.

In military, we were told not to shoot blanks at each other closer than 15m away, since there's tiny wood shrapnel that comes out from them. (there we use blanks when playing military laser tag) And I know one story where this has happened, it was an actor in the 80s, Jon-Erik Hexum, died while acting out a scene of russian roulette, using blanks.
The dumbest ways to die are slipping on a banana peel and slipping on soap while your bathing,dying because you had a pot fall your head,dying to a baby,being strangled in a pillow fight,these are most embarrassing deaths that may or may have not happened.
I love watching these "Darwin" awards videos. in the last one i watched, a skier or snowboarder took the soft foam padding away from one of the large metal supports that hold up the chair incline, that people ride to get to the top. on the mans way down, he went straight into the exact metal support that he removed the soft foam padding from, killing him instantly.
Ah, the Darwin Awards, one of the few awards received post-mortem. I still remember the Urban Legend back in the 90s (it has been proven false by now). A terrible diet and room with no ventilation were blamed for the death of a man, killed by his own gas in his sleep.

Because as I already explained, the dumb thing he did that could've gotten him killed (and did in this specific situation) could've gotten someone else killed in their attempt to avoid running him over. In this version of the scenario, he'd have blood on his hands because of his dumb actions, and he'd have had to live with this, knowing innocent people are dead because of him.
