Superb. What a great songwriter. Echoes of McCartney and Nick Harper

Stunning. I'm always baffled as to why more widespread fame has eluded him. In a perfect world, Ron Sexsmith would be appointed Singer-Songwriter Laureate Of The Earth, or something.

Fully agree! Ron's voice is definitely an acquired taste and perfectly suited to his thoughtful songs!

This is so amazinglly refreshing!!!! I have to admit, almost with shame, I'm a 52 year old Canadian guy who is listening to Ron for the first time...don't know his music at all. Now thanks to your post and others, I'm blown away again by another great Canadian artist!!! Thanx my friend for the terrific post!!!

Please Bob Rock, produce another Ron Sexsmith record. Please. Bob framed Ron's music in such a way that the world could finally see his brilliance.

This is one of the stronger tracks on the album. Great lyrics as usual, this guy deserves to break through now. Love the nod to the E Street band during the guitar solo.

Well, I don't know. The Autotune-thingy is in there and can be heard for those that are "in the know", but its not obvious. Part of it is also heavy compression. It shouldn't deter anyone buying this album though.

@ananala007 As Amazing a songwriter as Ron is, I'm afraid he is one of the lucky ones. Over the years I have had the pleasure and privelege to meet and know many such songwriters who just can't seem to break through. It's an absolute shame. More needs to be done for these great artists.

    Produced by Bob Rock.

Ron knows he can sing like bird surely he's just using the auto for effect gives it a vocodor type sound any more.......get in line ;)

The Bob Rock production and these excellent session musicians really help! Also, dare one say, the autotune on the voice! Ron struggles to stay in tune, which can spoil the effect of his wonderful songs on earlier albums.

@TheMrJake what's the evidence for that? surely he can just *sing*?
