Hi! My son is 5 years old and loves watching your videos. He loves to imitate you. ❤ Out of all the videos on fire alarms, I prefer yours because it's organized and on boards. I would love to see a video on how to build one. Thank you for making these!
YAY! new video! Edit: the hotel we usually stay at during the summer has rebranded wheelock as alarms with rebranded sigas. Really interesting because the sigas have a whirlpool logo on them or at least what looks like the whirlpool logo. Probably rare I’d think. 🤷♂️
One of my elementary schools had an all-Wheelock fire alarm system! Wheelock AS as outdoor alarms (I even saw one being repaired!) and wheelock ZNS/RSS as indoor fire alarms. Unfortunately, one fire alarm was replaced with a System Sensor Classic horn strobe later in my 3rd grade.
No Crap, Colombo! Also, he could've just unscrewed the wires from the terminals. I did this to a SIGA-DTS smoke detector test station. There might be a resistor, though.
@@ryguy2006 seems you don't know your est devices if you think there was a Module on that one, conventional ones have 2 hex screws near the switch horizontally that holds the terminal block. The Addressable ones have 4 small black tabs that hold the module
@@FireTech7 For the SIGA-DTS, yes there ARE 4 tabs holding the module in place. What I did was write down what wires went where before unscrewing terminals 5 through 8. It's non-destructive, and I could make it addressable again if I wanted to.
@@ryguy2006 Why are you so rude? If you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all. Especially if you are agreeing with him that does not make sense.
The MT horn tone sounds about the same as an AS. I hate the AS as they don’t have any sync feature; however, what I like about the AS in this video is that it supports audible silence
@Phatbaby Blu Well, over the summer, they upgraded the fire alarm system, I think possibly to a Notifier system (Because all the schools in my district they use Notifier), but I know for sure it is a voice evac. Now, I do not go to that school anymore as I am in High School now.
Hey S.E.R. Safety, I've done a request 2 times for the LCD name, no luck... :'( 3rd time's the charm. I want to request the LCD screen to say "Arby's, we have the meats!" Note: If your ADT Unimode 10UD can do symbols on your keypad, it would look good! If not, that's OK, it would still look good.
Hey, can you maybe give me some sort of alarm that doesn't work? I live in england btw so if you could mail it to me that would be great. Im trying to make a collection myself.
Once again, the "Life Safety Educator" gets it wrong. You know that the push button on the i3 does not "test the entire smoke detector." That only checks the contacts of the device and does not test its ability to detect particulate matter. Also, others have mentioned that your station is not a SIGA series station. It is not addressable, therefore it is not a SIGA pull station. I really do question your qualifications as an educator if you cannot get the basics correct.

Every time the board just screams like “STOP THE ALARMS!” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I really like the Emergency Push Station! So fun to press, and some places I go to use them as Gate Locks.

Hey, Grant. Can you do a video about how addressable systems work?
One of my elementary schools had an all-Wheelock fire alarm system! Wheelock AS as outdoor alarms (I even saw one being repaired!) and wheelock ZNS/RSS as indoor fire alarms. Unfortunately, one fire alarm was replaced with a System Sensor Classic horn strobe later in my 3rd grade.

THE AS HURTS MY EARS!!!!! I do like that you used the tone for the MT, though!
HOW DID YOU SURVIVE THE MINI HORN!?!?!?
He wears hearing protection when he does fire alarm tests
0:43 Actually that's just a normal 278, the siga is Addressable. This one is conventional

How come the battery is low low on your fire alarm control panel
Can you do some more stuff with the security system? Also you should get motion detector and door sensors and stuff
WHERE DO YOU GETT ALL THIS STUFF
At my Middle School, there is a weird setup, they have a Simplex System, with Wheelock alarms on the outside, and Simplex True Alert on the inside.
@Phatbaby Blu Well, over the summer, they upgraded the fire alarm system, I think possibly to a Notifier system (Because all the schools in my district they use Notifier), but I know for sure it is a voice evac. Now, I do not go to that school anymore as I am in High School now.

Are you looking for the Simplex B key? Far as I know, they're pretty cheap on eBay.
SuperMarioLord64 // Brinegamers Productions yes that’s what I’m basically saying is I need on of those
@@aidantherailfan2175 They're around 5 bucks per key. Very cheap!
