You just have to Love this Guy. Its simply not possible to resist this kind of sympathic Charisma!!! If i had a Company i would endorse hin for sure!!!!
I agree. He gets much "hetero" man love from me on here. Just seems like a genuinely honest personality with a keen sense of humor. Although...that could be all a lie to distract us as he takes over the world!! I got nothing but respect for the way he saw the upcoming YT gear review market & rode it home doing something he loves! EPIC WIN! I swear tho...Even if he didn't play guitar, he'd be the perfect TV "pitch man"....lol!... Those Shamwow or Oxi Clean guys wouldn't have shiznit on this mofo! Just kidding Rob!!!...but.... Hell, I wouldn't of got both the Orange micro terror or Blackstar HT5 had not been for the great demo/review vids he did....Am I rambling again....sheesh! ADHD! gets me everytime! LMAO!!! Cheers!
Chappers a watched this vid a year ago and i am now endorsed by a web site and working on a demo for kramer guitars . i thank u so much for this video it helped me so much.
This is super super helpful. Not only is it very informative but it's inspiring. You don't have to have the best gear, you don't have to be the best player you know, you don't have to have the best mic and recording gear. You just have to do it and know what to do with it!
Can't help but love you Mr. Chappers. You help the little guys, and, i'm from very very very rural Ireland and the one music shop for 80 miles, the people I meet there have all heard of, and appreciate, your vids. So i'd say you're "famous". Thank you.
Honestly I didn't have one, just enjoyed making videos ad playing guitar... I really didn't take it very seriously until I discovered insight and realized I was getting thousands of views. There is no secret to "real views" just good, regular content and I think it's important to have fun with it.
I was working with Thin Lizzies producer, I had just got myself a Rockerverb head, Tiny Terror and two cabs and he put me in touch with Cliff Cooper the owner of Orange to hook me up with a deal. I then made a few video demos which were popular and the rest was history :-)
thank you, honestly thank you for taking the time to create all of your vids, but this one in particular is a huge help on taking that first step to becoming pro.
Thankyou Velez, I really appreciate the support from all you guys! It's like having a gang of digital brothers, and I really mean that :-) Lots more to come!
thanks, i always wanted to know all this stuff. I'm gonna start my music career TODAY (Welcome to Paradise cover). Sooner or later I will be writing original content. Thanks you Rob Chappers, you been such an inspiration to me.
Dear Chappers, Just Yesterday I Received A Phone From Telegun Amplifiers Which Is A Very Respected Greek Company And They Are Interested In Endorsing My Project... I JUst Followed Your Instructions And It Got Me Somewhere Great... Thanks Man... Timmy
Rob thanks so much for info and the great videos that you provide to us! I just want to say you are an insparation to me man, and the videos you put out are top quality and the info you give to us. Big thanks from Nermin, Chicago USA.
Great information Rob! I am a fan of your band Dorje as well a guitar and music enthusiast. This is useful information for anyone aspiring to make it in the music industry. I use the term "make it" very loosely. Anyways, I gained a lot knowledge by listening to this video! Thanks so much. Great vid.
Makes sense! :) It is working for me...but I did this before watching this video! Love it!!! Takes work to make money...to get fans...to get endorsements...
Thanks alot for the information! Everytime practicing gets boring for me all i have to do is watch this video and always gets my pumped up. Very worth subscribing! All the best luck Monkey Lord \m/.
This guy is very cool for sharing this information. I mean, it's information that helps others possibly become more successfull. Much respect to Chappers.
I know several fantastic musicians who can't make enough money to pay the rent. Chappers is explaining how the real world works, so you can go from not only loving music but being able to share it. To do anything in music you need a fan base. Period.
Just like to add, Im endorsed by a couple of bass companies (string and amps) And the biggest thing for me was not being afraid to be a bit cheeky! I've found companies, although money grabbing gypsies, do like to have real people, with real personality on board! But otherwise, Cracking video man and great advice!
Much respect for your commitment to do everything yourself! I'm a mediocre bassist at best and record deals seem so unreachable right now, but thanks to this video I know there are other (and possibly better) ways of making yourself be noticed. I should really get myself a decent camera...Too bad I'm not endorsed by *insert electronics company here*
Damn you have made me start actually planning something. You have helped greatly I have already started setting everything up :) Thanks Chappers. Btw love your fret work :)
Chappers you are a true legend :) This info has really helped me out! Speaking of starting small though, a small string company called Dovetail strings is intrested in endorsing my band :) So this should be quite a good start!
Good info Rob. Totally love your shirt there! haha. Oh man, Yngwie is still one of my heroes :) altough i dont listen to him so much anymore (busy with my own music making). He was my inspiration to start playing guitar. You rock in your own cool way! keep it up!
This is really good information. I get about 8000 yt views a day, and haven't really had any self-confidence in approaching people. Didin't think I was big enough. Hopefully, with this info I can do something positive. Thanks man :)
I think the disconnect is that money shouldn't be the only factor. You can care about what you're selling and to whom AND still make a lot of money. That way, everybody wins.
i have to say Chappers I have seen this video passed around in about 5 forums and i have only been looking around for 10 minutes or so i see what you mean thank you so much for this video :)
I intentionally set out to make my recording "Low Fi" the recording cost me £1000. If you are a good musician you can make good music within the limitations of cheap gear, people even seem to appreciate the fact that my EP was home made. With regards packaging and mass distribution, I did mention in this video that I sell my EP digitally through iTunes and CDbaby, so no packaging at all and distributed worldwide. The whole Red Dream EP cost me exactly £1225, I only had to sell 300 :-)
Damn, this video got me excited again about trying to make music, after having a "Do I have anything new to offer? Crap, maybe I don't!!" day. Thanks Chappers! *favourited and subscribed*
Wow Chappers, That vid is amazing. I'm trying to do exactly what you said in the video... as of right now recording at home is testing my patience because i can find a good sound... I have the gear just not the skill in the recording area... Point is this video have me hope and once i record some better quality stuff Ill do most of the things you mentioned in this video!!! Thanks man you are bizzare
I have an unfair advantage in that my best friend was the director of Universal Records so I have inside information. Up until a few months ago, there is a big plan in the industry to make all music "Non physical format", they cant beat us so they are joining us. Labels do not work because you have to pay them back your advance, tour 8 months a year to promote and do what they tell you... who wants to do that when you can do it all yourself online and at the end of the day own it all :-)
Very helpful, thanks for this. The only problem is getting viewers, a lot of bands that I listen to aren't very popular and getting covers to be seen are hard (and my own stuff).
Brillaint stuff! subscribed and now leaving a comment to try help get us a fanbase! haha , thanks for the advice on all aspects you spoke on Jordan Heavy on the Ride (Alternative Hard Rock band from Swansea Wales)
Great video, hopefully I can come back to this one day and put the info to good use instead of just thinking that being endorsed and putting out your own album would be wicked lol
"Guitarists love the gear as much as they love playing the gear."
So true =')
You just have to Love this Guy. Its simply not possible to resist this kind of sympathic Charisma!!! If i had a Company i would endorse hin for sure!!!!
I agree. He gets much "hetero" man love from me on here. Just seems like a genuinely honest personality with a keen sense of humor. You Are so damn right man!! Thx for your answer. This Guy has fans all over the World. That is realy amazing.
Thanks mate, yeah I am over the moon! Your wishes are most graciously accepted and utilized.
Glad to be of service and thanks for subscribing ;-)
Chappers a watched this vid a year ago and i am now endorsed by a web site and working on a demo for kramer guitars . i thank u so much for this video it helped me so much.
Thanks for the great feedback mate, really cool to hear other dudes doing well ;-)
This is super super helpful. Not only is it very informative but it's inspiring. You don't have to have the best gear, you don't have to be the best player you know, you don't have to have the best mic and recording gear.
You just have to do it and know what to do with it!
No problem mate, great to see people using this knowledge to great effect. Congratulations ;-)
Can't help but love you Mr. Chappers. You help the little guys, and, i'm from very very very rural Ireland and the one music shop for 80 miles, the people I meet there have all heard of, and appreciate, your vids. So i'd say you're "famous". Thank you.
I put 12 guages on my guitar and detuned and played bass on it, but used the programmed drum loops..chopped em up etc took ages but was addictive :-)
Honestly I didn't have one, just enjoyed making videos ad playing guitar... I really didn't take it very seriously until I discovered insight and realized I was getting thousands of views. There is no secret to "real views" just good, regular content and I think it's important to have fun with it.
I was feeling a little down and discouraged about my music, so I came here to be inspired by Rob....mission accomplished! Thanks again Rob! :)
This is the most useful video on all of RUclips. Thanks Chappers, you are a guru, thoroughly entertaining, and you totally rock!
Thanks man, welcome to the family :-)
This was the absolute MOST helpful of all the videos I've looked up for this
I'll go make a myspace acount right now!!!
Lmao
I was working with Thin Lizzies producer, I had just got myself a Rockerverb head, Tiny Terror and two cabs and he put me in touch with Cliff Cooper the owner of Orange to hook me up with a deal. I then made a few video demos which were popular and the rest was history :-)
thank you, honestly thank you for taking the time to create all of your vids, but this one in particular is a huge help on taking that first step to becoming pro.
A very wise man you are, Chappers. This seems like the best advice I might have ever heard from you. Cheers.
I love you to mate!
Rob is the man. Very excited for all his recent success
Cheers man. You've helped me and my band BACKLASH loads. Just got to get our youtube updated now!

No problem mate! :-)

Great video and very helpful, thanks for uploading this man!!
I know several fantastic musicians who can't make enough money to pay the rent. Chappers is explaining how the real world works, so you can go from not only loving music but being able to share it. To do anything in music you need a fan base. Period.

Thanks Chappers.
Btw love your fret work :)
Dude don't let your gear limit you, it's about how good your music is not how good your gear is :-)
Chappers you are a true legend :)
This info has really helped me out! Speaking of starting small though, a small string company called Dovetail strings is intrested in endorsing my band :) So this should be quite a good start!
Great post Rob! That really is motivating!
Another great vid Rob, keep em coming man.
Thanks man, good luck :-)
Thank you for those precious advices !

Easily the most informative video I've seen this year while laughing my ass off!!!
Thanks mate, I think you just have to be creative and have fun. People come to RUclips to be entertained :-)
Chappers, you are the best. UG ftw. I might have to use this guide...
This is really good information. I get about 8000 yt views a day, and haven't really had any self-confidence in approaching people. Didin't think I was big enough. Hopefully, with this info I can do something positive. Thanks man :)

Try contacting the distributers, some times they have a lot of power as well ;-)
Damn, this video got me excited again about trying to make music, after having a "Do I have anything new to offer? Crap, maybe I don't!!" day. Thanks Chappers! *favourited and subscribed*
Class is in Session
Thanks Chappers
Rob is correct. I got an Orange Micro Terror based solely on his and The Captains review.
I'll get popular on youtube and be endorsed by Chapman guitars. Genius.
Wow, You are a really smart dude. This video was really eye opening.
miss the old days...
thank you so very much Chappers

Fun and educative video : D I have been thinking how to get some attention for my bad so that helps a little.
Very helpful, thanks for this. The only problem is getting viewers, a lot of bands that I listen to aren't very popular and getting covers to be seen are hard (and my own stuff).
Cheers mate :-)
Excellent advice there Chappers!
A Power crystal from space!!!!! ROCK ON CHAPPERS!!!!!!
thanks man that really makes sense.
Brillaint stuff! subscribed and now leaving a comment to try help get us a fanbase! haha , thanks for the advice on all aspects you spoke on

Great video, hopefully I can come back to this one day and put the info to good use instead of just thinking that being endorsed and putting out your own album would be wicked lol
