    I just now saw this for the first time. There are no words to describe the memories and pride ( no pun intended) I felt seeing this. Baltimore is our home. No matter where we go and where we live, we meet people who have seen our Pride and the favorable comments we hear to this day make us feel truly blessed to call Baltimore Home. Sail on Pride II you bring to the rest of the world the history of Baltimore and our love of the sea. You are poetry in motion!. Your grace and beauty are truly a sight to behold, Blessings to your and your crew for safe journeys forever. May you always have wind in your sails and fair weather.

    Nice quality ! It was wonderful to hear the wind and the waves. The music in the background was a good idea that made the difference. The action shots with the crew were great. Looks like a lot of effort to get the rail down. This living history is amazing. Just looking around at some video over the holiday season and just found this today.

    HOW MANY KNOTS PER HOUR ?

    What's her maximum speed?

    • @jonitrost8124
      @jonitrost8124 Год назад +1

      About 12+ knots or close to 14 miles per hour. I don't know for sure so find your own research but it's the length at the water line square times 1.33 so I think the Pride II is about 90ft at the water line . When she heels over she may gain length. Parasitic drag and all that other stuff that comes with the right answer is not in my ability. Hope that helps Mate.

    Those sailing ⛵ vessels back in the day that created good sailors, in the early sixties I was fortunate to have sailed ⛵ on a few of those wooden vessels that were hitting the age 50 - 70 ties, the pay wasn't much but plenty of fun, my personal philosophy was I'm paid to see the world and never regretted .. peace ✌ ☮

    Don't forget the LIVERPOOL PACKET a Baltimore Clipper Top Sail Schooner who sailed under the Red Ensign in the war of 1812 capturing some 50 american merchant vessels herself (also known as "New Englands Bane").
