Thank you this was very helpful. I am considering to open a book club for the children in my community. The level of English comprehension is not great and am looking for ways to make it fun and easier for the kids.
I love this idea! My students are crazy about the Mo Willams books even though most of them are reading at a higher level. But I think I’ll start with them with this framework so they can get into good book club habits with a book that has a high interest and motivational level.
This is exactly what I needed to kick start book clubs in my K classroom. I have so many kids who are reading above the E level and wanted to find a new fun way for them to engage with reading! Thank you for sharing your tips and insight!
This is the direction I need to go. I have a grade one class, but have one reading group that is at a mid grade two level. They are bored with the program. I will do a book club with them. They need the independence...maybe also a book report/share type assignment. Thanks.
Hi there!! I’m going to be running a book club for our K-2 pod and I love this video. I want to know where did you find specific I that book mark with conversation prompts!? This is such a great idea!
I tutor students one on one around the world (completely on my own via zoom) for many subjects/skill areas and I'd love to use your resources in my classroom. Your videos help me stay on track as an educator and remind me of the effectives methods my college taught me, but brick and mortar settings tried to shut down. I would like to get back to what I know will work. Would it be okay for me to use your materials in my classroom?
Do you have a link or is there a way for you share the discussion rings and book marks that you use for your book marks? I would love to try them in my first grade classroom.
Hi Pam! I usually don't, no! At least not in one day. I would have them have one job to prepare for and then meet. Then, if needed, they would get new jobs with the same book to prepare their thoughts and then meet again! I hope that makes sense :)

I made a book club k-5 in the school but I’m just the media teacher and everyone loves reading now Thanks!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I would like to start a reading club in our community. The children in the nearby school have trouble reading and comprehending English.
This was so helpful! Thank you! i just bought the TPT book clubs packet you made! This is going to save me! Thanks!

My kids at work are 6-10 in their book club. Any suggestions for the mixed age group?
Dear, pls make an short video of example for better understanding.
What are some of your favorite titles for book clubs? Do you have a list of books you recommend?
Is it necessary to give jobs to the students?
Do you give more than one job to students if their group is small?
