Full disclosure: I'm a fan of crazy films with unbelievable storylines and plots. So happy you did this. While I've seen Flash Gordon a handful of times, I haven't seen it for about 20 years. Seeing the clips reminded me of how much I enjoyed this film. I love the scenery and costumes, right up my street. My favourite costume is Ming's. So freaking disco funk, it's brilliant. EW&F would be so proud. I also love the theme song, I prefer it to Queen's Highlander theme. Thank goodness Simon Pegg is a huge fan, we would not have seen Dalton in Hot Fuzz otherwise. Tom, did seeing Brian May at your door make you faint? Such a shame you missed him. The GORD Board is super cute, love it! ps Is that Snoop wine? Is there nothing that man will do for money? 🤔 Battle of the wines, Barlow V Dogg... Great 'special' episode!
Tom, my mum your oldest Review to a Kill fan, Mrs Wallis (Betty) wanted me to say that it was wonderful to see you in charge for a change. However, she agrees with James' scores but she found it highly amusing to see the tables turned. Intrigued to see what else is in store for viewers
I’m glad to hear my favourite fan enjoyed it. Maybe I should take over more often once we work out exactly what phase 2 will be. Cheers for watching and send Betty our love. Look out for another little on-screen message in our next episode recorded this evening, coming soon.
Can't believe this episode has got such low viewing figures. Flash Gordon is almost as iconic as Brian May (who I had the pleasure of meeting and briefly chatting to at the Cheltenham Literature Festival a few years back). Tom did a brilliant job in the "James" role and in his wigged-cameo too - who knew a Boss Katana Mini could sound that good ;) looking forward to the next Bond installment, but interested to know your top 5 favourite films outside of the franchise.
