I like Jabari's upside long term, but I would trade back with Sac and pair Miller with Murray and try to get Celtics level of 3 point shooting. Draft Devin Carter and lose 2 firsts.
I don't understand why the Rockets would trade down and not draft Reed over Rob if they're both on the board. I would rather stay at three and get Sheppard there instead of losing jabari instead of losing smith and getting Rob.
Yeah but they already have too much talent in terms of their high level prospects. There's a couple first round picks like Whitmore and Eason that barely get playing time. Let alone get any shots
I rather have Topic on the Spurs over Giddy. With the trades in this mock, Charlotte might actually make the playoffs and leave the Spurs with their pick, Atlanta's pick, a now possible Charlotte, Chicago's, and the 76er's pick in a strong draft class.
From the Rockets standpoint, I don't get the idea of the Hornets - Rockets trade, and I don't see any possibility of something even similar to it happening. The Rockets objective has been clearly stated by the front office and coaching staff: to become progressively more competitive while developing the in-house young talent. This trade has nothing to to with that approach. I think that Jabari Smith Jr is seen by the Rockets as one of their core pieces moving forward. From the Hornets standpoint, sure, it makes sense to build a young, athletic, versatile and very solid starting lineup. But from the Rockets standpoint, it's nonsense.
No way Houston does this, they are looking for another PF to play behind Jabari. Without Jabari, they would now need a starting PF and backup. The only PF they have on the roster after Jabari is Jeff Green who is 38 and not capable of playing big mins. Also Houston has more guards than it needs (Vanvleet, Green, Thompson, Whitmore, Holiday) so Dillingham would likely not play ahead of any of them. Just a terrible trade.
So the one team that really went after giddey with his shithouse this season would trade for him? rather see them get Topic or Sheppard with that 8th pick
If Giddey was drafted by the Spurs he would have already been cut just like Primo. Can not even imagine them even entertaining the idea of getting him.
Primo repeatedly flashed someone on the spurs staff😂 That's why he got cut. Josh dated a 17 y/o when he was 19. If he actually did anything he'd be in actual legal trouble. Thunder doesn't mess around with that kind of stuff either.
The Smith trade to Hornets is about the worst proposed trade since the Green to the Nets for Bridges in which the Rockets offered the #3 pick (unknown at the time) and more of their picks back. Let's examine it. First, toss out the 27th picks as they cancel each other out. We don't know where those picks will end up. Second, Smith for a bunch late first round picks is just downright stupid. They will be late FRPs because adding Smith to the Hornets will push them out of the lottery for years to come. Smith is a top twenty five player under 25 in the league and already a 14/8 guy who will soon be a 20/10. Third, you are giving up the #3 pick for the #6 pick for next to nothing. Fourth, the Rockets are looking for upgrades, not to enter into permanent rebuild mode.
I don’t like Buzelis to the pistons just based off his shooting and the fact they just drafted Asuar Thompson. I think someone like Dillingham or Reed Sheppard if he falls there because of the position need and shooting
In the immediate future this pick 3 trade made me sad as a Rockets fan I love Jabari haven’t seen who we draft at 6 but I would have also like Castle and Jabari on our current unit Charlotte would have a young core right on our tails and OKC
Damn I had to come back to express how I'm still upset at how bad that Hornets - Rockets trade is. Sheldon, please go ahead and nullify that trade, thanks. The Rockets have their young team for the future already set up: PG: Amen Thompson, SG: Jalen Green, SF: Tari Eason, PF: Jabari Smith Jr, C: Alperen Sengun, 6th-man: SG/SF Cam Whitmore, 7th-man: 2024 3rd pick (C/PG). That is a solid well rounded team. Why would they mess with this for a 6th pick and injury prone Lamello Ball?
Rockets could use another PG, Center, and SF. FVV and Adams are not the future, they are the current. And they could use another wing. All of which they can add over the next three years curtesy of the Nets. But yeah, don't mess with the core.
He's a senior and not really amazing at anything but he's solid at a lot. Definitely seems like a guy who could fall in the mid 20s and just have a solid career as a winning backup wing.
I get Castle and White have some similarities but overall not a direct comparison. Castle is over two inches taller and 20lbs heavier with room to add a lot more muscle as he is only 19 and White was about 23. White doesn’t drive a lot and bully ppl to the basket and has 60 career dunks in 7 seasons. Castle can do more athletically and if his shot comes along he has an All-Star ceiling
If the Spurs come out of this draft with Reed, Carter, Filipowski, and either Scheierman or Ajay Mitchell I think would be a solid draft for the Spurs. Two of the most athletic guards, one being a solid defender, a floor spacing big man, and two upside guards who are efficient with the ball as a late flier would be very helpful. The Spurs are great at developing players and being older the majority won't burn contracts for when they have to pay Wemby. They can also be upside cost-controlled contracts if you need to move them later once the roster is locked in to get a stronger talent if you are trying to consolidate.
Spurs shouldve sat at 8 and take Sheppard. Risacher and Sheppard without having to move up would be incredible. Giddey is due for an extension and is a nonshooter, would be a bad long term move.

@@sportsandstuff99 We know it is not ideal. But the mock draft itself was done in over 2-3 days. It's not easy to make mock draft with over 20 people, maybe even living in other timezones (like me living in EU). There were also a few trades during the draft itself, but it is very hard to keep track with so many people. We had a lot of fun, this wasn't meant to be realistic at all.
I’d love to get a Risacher but unfortunately unless we trade up for him we aren’t getting him. I wouldn’t mind getting Reed Shepard at 4 and Tidjane Salaun at 8.

It's been widely reported (in this case seen.) that Quinn Snyder flew to see Risacher play in Europe first and he has been to Atlanta to work out as well this past week. Clearly they like what they see! At #2 The Wizards have worked out Sarr, Clingan and Cody Williams. General consensus is it will be Sarr.
Actually like this Blazers draft! I would have guessed the order of Holland and Salaun reversed, and while I question Holland's fit next to Scoot, I really like the energy, motor, and 2-way play of both of Holland & Salaun. The fit is more of a Scoot question IMO, and Scoot can still make a big jump, and if he doesn't then Blazers can look elsewhere in the next year or two.
I hope the Bulls can get more for Caruso but I’m not getting my hopes up. We were asking for 2 first round picks for him at the deadline and didn’t get a real offer or they must have been terrible picks. Pick 16 is solid at least I know it’s not 28 or something and Caruso is sprawled out on the floor and hobbling to locker room every other game and most of his career has been injury prone and unable to play 30+ minutes a night so I personally don’t think his value is as high as the national media portrays but will be pleasantly surprised if it is
I can understand the Rockets' motivation to trade down the pick. They want to get Redd, but they don't want to waste the No. 3 pick on Redd. But trading away JSJ is really not a very wise choice unless they can let Bridges and Mitchell join the team at the same time.
Exactly, getting a bunch of future picks that won't be in the lottery (with Smith on their team) for an elite player (Smith is one of the top twenty five players under 25) is not smart.
Reed is going to be a top 5 pick even if the Rockets don’t want to pick him at 3rd. So the Rockets might as well pick him at 3 if that’s their guy. This is not a draft where a wemby or Lebron type talent is available so pick your guy move on.

I was grizzlies gm, nets were owned by the commish so it was a league vote situation so I was tryna make it extra fair trade so I gave up more value than I prolly had to
Did you not vet any of this? That Hornets trade literally can’t happen. A team can’t trade back to back 1st. Hornets don’t have their own 25 1st meaning they can’t trade their 26 1st. Even if they had their own 25 1st they still couldn’t trade 26 and 27 1st. Normally I like your videos but having trades that literally can’t happen is just not a good look.

Josh Giddey to the Spurs?! They already had their problem child with Primo, and got burned there. I don’t care how good Giddey might be (debatable considering he was played off the floor in the playoffs), he’s not going to work for the Spurs. Charlotte w/Melo’s driving through red lights, Miles Bridges domestic issues and Brandon Miller’s getaway driver instincts might be better suited for Giddey’s services.
For the Hornets, I would have traded Lamelo Ball with the 6 pick, for Jabari Smith and the 3rd and a future 1 round pick. Draft Castle. It works for both teams, Houston gets their young pg for the future and can draft a pf replacement for Jabari Smith. Hornets can start to fix the defensive problems, having Brandon Miller, Stephon Castle, Jabari Smith, and Mark Williams.
The Rockets already already have the PG of the future in Amen Thompson. Actually, the Rockets have their young team for the future already set up: PG: Amen Thompson, SG: Jalen Green, SF: Tari Eason, PF: Jabari Smith Jr, C: Alperen Sengun, 6th-man: SG/SF Cam Whitmore, 7th-man: 2024 3rd pick. That is a solid well rounded team. Why would they mess with this for a 6th pick and injury prone Lamello Ball?
Great video…. I strongly suggest you should stop being “lower on GG Jackson’s future”. Season long numbers don’t show the full picture he played for only 1-16 minutes in 9 of the 48 games and didn’t do anything good in those minutes(start of season) but in 10 of the other 39 he was either the best player or 2nd best player on the team or court and he’s the youngest player in the league. Those performances included 44pts 17/36 12reb 2stl 1blk, 31pts 12/23 7/13 frm3 3stl, 35pts 11/19 7/14 frm3, 22pts 8/13 3stl, 26pt 8/17 6/12 frm 3, 30pts 10/19, 27pts 10/17 6/10 frm 3, 20pts 8/15 9reb 3stl, 23pts 6/9 2stl 2blk, 20pts 9/14 2stl. And he was previously ranked the number 1 high school recruit for a reason and is over 6’8 without shoes and 8’10 standing reach and 37 inch vertical when he supposedly didn’t even train hard for the combine. I understand the immaturity and shot selection questions but he’s literally the youngest player in the league and already having star level games. Mikal is way better right now but in the future I’m very skeptical if that will be true. GG, pick 9 and Kennard or something is not necessarily a bad trade but Smart instead of Kennard and two extra 1st round picks for a guy who might not even be a top 50 player is a massive overpay
Yea GG Jackson was one of my sleeper picks last year and I DESPERATELY wanted the Spurs to grab him. He's legit, another weapon to play against in the the best division in basketball.

If the Pistons don’t draft Sheppard at the 5th spot that would be ludicrous!
Holland at 7 👎 maybe at 14.
I was grizzlies gm, nets were owned by the commish so it was a league vote situation so I was tryna make it extra fair trade so I gave up more value than I prolly had to
Bad move for the Rockets
Great move for the Hornets :D
Magic would love to get Ware !!! don't know if available 🏀🏀🏀🏈
Spurs are NOT trading the 8th for giddy bro
Did you not vet any of this? That Hornets trade literally can’t happen. A team can’t trade back to back 1st. Hornets don’t have their own 25 1st meaning they can’t trade their 26 1st. Even if they had their own 25 1st they still couldn’t trade 26 and 27 1st. Normally I like your videos but having trades that literally can’t happen is just not a good look.
It’s meant to be fun, it’s not a big deal tbh. Just chill
Even if they could, bad trade for the Rockets.
Whoever was running the Thunder would be immediately fired 😂
Heat draft Zach Edey and Hunter Sallis probably most underrated best PG in the 2nd round, ZYON Pullin, Keshad Johnson, or Antonio Reeves. Zach Edey is NBA ready, great touch on offense, can pass out the double, and when you need an easy bucket. Sign Jonas in free agency.
Dejounte or Hunter Sallis or ZYON PULLIN, Keshad Johnson Terry or Malik Monk
Niko Jaime
Jimmy Duncan
Bam Kevin Love
Zach Edey Jonas Val or Nic Claxton
No way on Edey. Doesn’t fit Spo’s system. Lots of other guys who can fit better.
Rockets already have too many high level prospects. Why would they go and get more? Guys like Whitmore and Eason can barely get playing time because of how stacked there roster is.
Only trade that would make sense for that round pick would be to trade for a All-Star caliber veteran.
Also why would Houston give up on jabari Smith Jr? The guy's one of the best players. He could Easily be their highest scorer if he got more touches
Where are the hype videos?
Why would Houston wanna make that trade😂
Why would Charlotte
@@marsheomcgriff3607 To improve the roster significantly. :D
W Texas Sports!!!!!
You're just trolling with these Knicks picks now
Is the New York knicks. They might not even keep the picks
@@navblue20 they will keep at least one if not both this year unless they are getting a too good to not do trade. This team needs some controllable contracts and depth.
Cleveland not drafting Filapowski my guy if anything they will be the main team involved in the trades. You must be a OKC fan
Nope and I’m not sure if you listened to the video at all because these aren’t my picks
@@UtilitySports Definitely watched the video and you literally picked Filipowski. Oh I spelled his name incorrect so you’re being smart. Ok cool my guy peace
Lmao your crazy if you think Grizzlies are trading GG Jackson. They also wouldn’t give up all those picks for Mikal Bridges.
I want Tyler kolek PG daron Holmes big and Dillion Jones Uber athlete grab 8 boards a game as a 6 ft 2 PG love his game and story. Not many players avg 20 PPG 8 reb 6 assist a game
Why would yhe bucks draft edey?
Silver would have every GM in the league drug tested if this actually happened.
spurs ain’t trading for josh giddey we already had one josh with enough sexual misconduct charges thanks
Why the 5 team trade 😭
The "Spurs way" will not take Josh Giddy I fully guarantee that...Spurs fan were chatting no to good words every time he touched the ball....now if we do trade our 8th pick..it would be chet only...now that would be something the Spurs would do
No ones giving you Chet. God San Antonio fans are so delusional.
Haha, Spurs getting Chet is hilarious. Only if the Spurs gave up Wemby. And why would they do that?
lmao what a dipshit. Typical Spurs fan, jesus christ.
@@manuginobilishair5662 No we wouldn't take Chet that's not delusional. Remember we could have took him last year from you...... But we have better sense than that.
What Giddy did was nothing like what Primo did, not even in the same ballpark
Josh Giddey to the Spurs?! They already had their problem child with Primo, and got burned there. I don’t care how good Giddey might be (debatable considering he was played off the floor in the playoffs), he’s not going to work for the Spurs. Charlotte w/Melo’s driving through red lights, Miles Bridges domestic issues and Brandon Miller’s getaway driver instincts might be better suited for Giddey’s services.
Grizzlies trade id do if I could get back N.Claxton
Orlando could sign Nic Claxton or Hartenstein instead of trading away assets and over reaching on a center that doesnt fit the culture
Memphis won’t get rid of GG
Kuzma to the Kings is just a completely horrible idea. Send Kuzma's happy ass to OKC.
None of the trades made sense for the Thunder
You could see UConn two players go to Washington the big man fromUConn and page in the women

We talking draft?!….. GSG!!!
Pick 8 trade is Ludacris. Spurs wouldn't make that trade. Two non shooters get traded to the Spurs 😂😂
Thank you U.S team
I don’t think they do it (I mean like why) but would pick #4, hawks own 2025 FRP back get spurs #1? Maybe a player in there too like branham?
That bucks trade is awful and then drafting edey holy shii. I thought some of these trades were bad but that first bucks one is nasty
That spurs trade is hot asssssssss😂
Can I replace the Charlotte gm lol
i love that trade for the hornets
The Thunder just got finessed this entire video, damb
Spurs let go of Josh primo, you think they’re going to trade for giddy lol
OKC could offer a better package for Mikal
Rox would be dumb not to take Sheppard at 6.
