I'm Maja and I am a solo female traveler, traveling Europe full-time in my 30 days self built van - Living #Vanlife. I left Sweden in the end of November of 2018 and are still not planning on going back anytime soon..

When you mentioned living in your van, the policeman said “très bien! “ then “ça m’intéresse, on peut voir?”
Basically, he’s interested in vanlife and wanted to see inside your van, he sounded enthusiastic about it!

Aww that’s so nice! I had no clue 😅 I felt that they were really friendly and nice, but I didn’t know what the guy said, only the woman who spoke English 😄
But they all showed that they were impressed when I went out and opened the back doors 😂

Hello Maja! What sort of price range are we talking about for rust treatment and paint job down at Jesus' garage?
I think it really depends on how much rust it is/how much work. But it was a really good price, almost the same as in Eastern Europe, but I actually think Jesus did more than I would get in Eastern Europe for the same price, so.. it was really worth it :)

I was thinking about starting a vanlife journey but then I saw there is so much vanlifers that it looks like an ordinary thing. It no longer feels anything special. Everybody does it
So? You’re going to let other people dictate how you choose to live your own life? You’re not living for yourself but only to look “cool” to others? How sad.

@@drivitt Most people don't wanna feel ordinary. I mean moving into a van, shifting your home is a big move. And when you make a big move with your life, you wanna make sure that it's unique. Vanlifing has started to get so common, it's annoying
Fulfillment doesn't come from uniqueness, but fulfilling your hearts desires. Ask yourself what would make you happier and give your life more purpose and take steps towards that. It's not about how that compares to anyone else. Besides, other than curated vanlife content, im pretty sure they all live unique lives with unique experiences..
