Robin stands by M4/3 and I stand by Robin! Truly, thank you for years and years of honest reviews and tips. My photography is lifetimes better than it would've been without all your knowledge and advice.
I just came back from my hiking trip in Glaciers National Park, USA using my E-M1 MarkII, and all I can say is, the photos looked great. I have no complaints whatsoever, so your video about this particular camera is valid Robin. Keep up with your great videos!
I work with the OM System OM-1 regularly and extensively in many different areas of photography and the OM-1 is a great camera that I really enjoy, but Robin is absolutely correct in his criticism of the autofocus. I can confirm this from intensive experience. I have firmware 1.5 and the problem is still there. The camera is really super well equipped, it's just a software problem and I hope they fix it. And yes, also I tried all the different settings from the toturials and it didn't solve the problem. I've even tried my own ideas that go beyond that, but without success. However, this only affects the S-AF and C-AF in very poor light and poor contrast. Scene detection works very well!
I agree. Bought one used in very good condition. Love the M1 MK 2 and have an M5 MK 3 as a Backup. The M1 is usually fitted with the 12-40 or the 12-100. These lenses are a joy to use along with the 7-14. This combo fits into a Billingham Hadley Pro Small which makes it easy to take along for Shutter Therapy.
There's something about the jpg colours you get from Olympus, especially the OM-D EM-1 that's just DELICIOUS. Some would complain they're better than real life. Well ...that's OK with me.
I just bought a second E-M1 Mark II since my previous one's bayonet relase button broke and couldn't be repaired by any service. And I am again super excited and satisfied with this camera :)
Love your honesty bro and picked up an EM 1 Mk iii after being inspired by your videos in spite of having a Sony full frame. Enjoying the light weight and high frame rates of the MFT for my birding. Keep up the good work Robin.
Robin, you are doing fantastic job. Complain, criticize, because this is the only possible way to fix something, what doesn't work properly and your points are valid ones. Pleasure to watch your channel.
I came from Canon's latest mirrorless offerings and people told me the E-M1 MII was a "downgrade" and yes on paper in many ways it is. It's old. But I use this camera more. I enjoy shooting more. I stuck the basic 25mm 1.7 on the body and it was weeks before I took it off. With my other gear I just got so in the rut of finding the perfect way to shoot something that I found I didn't enjoy shooting as much. I don't do much professional work nowdays, but I shoot family stuff and I really wanted to just grab it and go. This camera does that. I can take two lenses and cover a huge range for what I want to shoot and it fits in any bag.
@@robinwong Yes, I do notice the AF issues when I used it to shoot birds in low light condition. The AF is not always 100% accurate. Hope it is an issue that can be solved by formware update. I still have my EM5 III though. :)
My EM1 mk 2 is the last m43 body I bought, and still more than meets my needs! The temptation to 'upgrade' is always there, but my thin wallet holds me in check! 😅
@@myam754 For used bodies, I guess if you get a good deal, and it's within your budget! Mk iii has a few 'nice-to-have' features. Only you can determine if they're worth the difference!
@@myam754 The Mark II is an incredible value--especially if you can get a gently used one. I picked up my perfect condition used one last summer for about $600 USD. With the firmware update it's practically a Mark III; I think the joystick is the only thing missing. The best camera I ever owned.
Your smile is infectious. I bought a brand new OM-D E-M1 Mark II with a 12-200mm "kit" lens, it arrived today; I want to go out and shoot, the battery cannot charge fast enough.
As a fellow Em1 mkii photographer, I follow you and love the way you present the information. I love all the colors in Malaysia. Thanks for doing what you do.
I loved my EM5II...but after looking at the EM1ii I decided to move to the EM1....and and very glad I did...The EM1ii does more than I will ever use, feels better in my hands and has all the features I will need for a long time to come.....I don't do sports photography so blazing autofocus is not an issue. I have not had a single failure with either of my EM1ii's (I have 2) in the past 3 years and from what I have heard for others that have the same camera, I should not have any for the near future. I am a happy Olympus shooter. It's nice to hear that Robin is happy with his since he abuses them constantly!! HA!
Thanks for your continued great videos and honesty. I purchased a used E-M1 Mark II just recently. It was a hard choice between it and the 5 mk III. I let the slightly bigger hand grip and battery guide my choice. It is my 1st non-compact digital camera. It instantly felt at home in my hands. I quickly grabbed my old trusted Nikon FG that I used for years and compared them. The body size is almost identical. Exactly what I wanted. Something highly capable but easy to put in a back pack or carry in a bag on my bicycle. Now I'm getting slowly familiar with it. Much appreciated to you and the other M4/3 advocates.
Robin, one of the great and REFRESHING things about your posts is your intense honesty. I am always glad to see you expound like this. It is so energizing. While a shortcoming in the OM-1 would concern me or maybe put me off from it, you put your finding in perspective so that I have a solid basis from which to investigate and consider rather than just run. I have to agree with you about so many content creators jumping around. Sure, they have their valid reasons, but sometimes there are unexpected reversals. You got flak just for talking outside the M43 bounds even while underscoring that everything has strengths, weaknesses, and optimal applications. Here you reiterated your preference for M43 and that doesn't conflict with anything you have said about other systems and formats. That is one of the great things about you and your approach. Thanks for putting so much of yourself into your posts. Looking forward to more...
Love the Em1 mkii. Really think that camera hits the sweet spot on that particular range. Very capable and available for a good price right now. I also thing that, for my hands, it has the best handling of any camera i have used! Great video; thankyou!
Great video Robin! I sold off my OM-1 and went back to my E-M1 Mark II for my photography. It's honestly still the best feeling in my hands. I do a lot of steep hikes and rock climbing and it's simply much better for that type simply because the "Menu" button is on the right side which is something you really need to do when you only have one hand available.
Fully love your dedication to the M4/3 system, I myself have started my photography in M4/3 and I think ill stay in it for long time. I like that you adress the problems with the m4/3 system and different cameras and that you are honest rare to find people like you on here. Love your reviews and videos the most.
I watch photography videos to learn something new. NOT, to simply hear the same thing repeatedly. My take is that Robin is sharing his experiences with us. So if one of his viewers needs to shoot in a dark smokey place with an OM-1 they may benefit from having watched this video. Thanks Robin!
I recently switched from the Canon 6D to the E-M1 Mark II for insect macro and wildlife. It's an incredible camera and I have no regrets. The only issue I have is I seem to accidentally change my settings without noticing very often. This is due to having very large hands and being used to a camera that didn't have so many buttons. 😂
@@photo1416 Absolutely nothing and I still have it. I prefer the E-M1 Mark II and don't take out the 6D. I particularly enjoy the bracketing mode and crop factor. The 6D's video I felt was unusable. Of course this is all preference and will differ for each person.
I haven't seen a good reason yet to upgrade from my main camera, an E-M1 II like yours, or from my backup camera, an E-M5 II. These cameras still make excellent salable images for my clients. I do weddings and portraits for money, and landscapes for a hobby. I have a habit of upgrading only every 10 years or so, and my last system was Canon. I used a 40D and a 350D for over 10 years professionally before I upgraded to the remarkable Oly Micro four thirds system. I've never had a client complain about the fact that I was using an old system with limited megapixels. I do use pro glass for my paid photoshoots.
Robin, you are completely honest and your videos are great. Thank you! By the way, I am like you, still using my E-M1 Mark II, with 100% satisfaction. Warm regards.
I have been following your channel about the m4/3 system for a very long time. But I always belonged to those negative opponents and used aps. I still have the Nikon and Sony FF system. But I sent what this Olympus omd em1mkII model can do. Well, I won't stress. Thanks to you, I bought a piece, albeit with a big drive, but again, thanks to your video, I know with which one and then a fixed 25 mm 1.7 panasonic...I have the NF-M1 adapter on the way and the body is already set thanks to your work..Thank you very much and I look forward to further contributions from you.😎
EM1 II is still my main camera. There is not much I feel is lacking with the camera and the lenses I have. And lets not forget the thing is built like a tank! I have no worries taking it out to the rain at the race track.
I Agree with you, I tried Canon d77 my neck was aching after few hours, now I've got two olympus em1 mark 1 and a lenses, now just got aquire a macro lense, so I love them sooo light and only 199 pounds a camera. The would like Mark 2 and Mark three, just to collect and they feel and look so good a pleasure to hold in the hand
Thank you for sharing this. Also I am using the E-M1.2 and E-M1x (both TruePic8). Last one is my choice over the OM-1. The Mark 2 delivers beautiful colors and even in Low Light good/very good results. The 25 1.8 and 45 1.8 are very attractve performer with this camera.
You come across as a genuinely good honest person Robin and you have helped me onboard to Olympus MFT (glass and bodies) with your advice on your channel. Thank you for your honesty and insight, it’s invaluable. I had to laugh this week when I saw two well-known content creators post that they were ditching their system (again). I get that perfectionists or people genuinely interested in their craft want the best tools for their job but changing every month on a whim doesn’t do it for me. It’s clickbait at its peak. Each to their own but it just doesn’t inspire trust in their opinions. Stay true to yourself and continue earning respect. You’ve got mine ✊
I have the E-M1 Mark II and the OM-1. The improved menu system on the OM-1 makes it much more usable than the older models, and the aircraft detection in the OM-1 nailed shots at an airshow that I probably would have missed with the E-M1. I'm definitely looking forward to a firmware release past 1.5.
I started looking at Olympus cameras and ran across your videos and shortly afterwards picked up an E-M1 MKII and a 12-40mm f/2.8. I'm super happy with the camera, it's just so much more fun to shoot with then my last camera, I really want to get some longer lenses but your videos have been very helpful to me, thank you Robin!
The point is basic function like autofocus issue should not exist in this god-tier product. Em5 can do the autofocus without any issue. And their price difference is 😅 My brother who shot pre-wedding photos uses Sony because of great autofocus. If you are doing a paid work, there is no room for error.
Hi Robin! I'm still rocking with my EM-1 Mark II and love it! It's still really versatile after almost a decade. I want to get an OM-1 one day but I can wait.
Same here ... will wait for OM-1 Mark II, i feel this is the time there will be a substantial specs upgrade (as it happened for the EM-1 to EM-1 mark II)
Hi Robin, Great work and you are still my go too reviewer of Olympus/OM, because you say it how it is warts and all. No system/camera is perfect it just needs to be what you need. And your reviews help me finding what I need. Thank you.👍
Bought an EM1.2 last year and it has taken over as my primary hiking/backpacking landscape camera. So much excellent MFT glass, and the EM1.2 IQ still holds up today. Just picked up an EM1.3 also - excited to try the handheld hi-res for landscapes!
You have always been honest and unbiased. Anyone who doesn't want truth is not someone you need to be concerned about. As for the EM1 mk 2 you are totally correct about it being worthwhile in 2023. Especially considering that the current firmware makes it essentially a different camera than version 1.0. Keep up the great coverage of 4/3, especially lenses which work well with any body. 😊
I semi-retired my em1 ii due to it's viewfinder. I'm 73 and have early macular degeneration thus i wear polarized sun glasses. My everday is my OM-5 and i am in love.
I see your channel as being photography oriented. Not necessarily restricted to Micro Four Thirds. When you cover other formats, I still watch with interest. There are times that I like my bridge cameras ,and even pocket cameras. There are times when a huge depth of field is good, (small sensor).
I really love your channel. The mental disorder in RUclips photography that you need the newest camera to take a picture is madness. Especially when you see the photos and they look terrible.
I recently upgraded to the OM-1 from the E-M1 mk2, and am content with the OM-1’s autofocus performance. Granted, there are times where shots are missed, but I am typically always using C-AF, and find the AF-target picker helps a lot when the camera is not selecting the subject the way I want it to. I find it is pretty easy to identify those moments while shooting, and make the adjustments to get the shot I need. I still love my E-M1 mk2, and after seeing this video, I may try to shoot with it more in those situations where the focus issue requires more effort. I do a lot of live performance photography, and typically use both bodies with the 4/3 Pro 14-35 f2 on one, and the 4/3 Pro 35-100 f2 on the other. Couldn’t be happier. My position relative to the stage determines which body gets which lens. I do look forward to the firmware update we are all hoping for!
I appreciate your honesty. I don’t get why someone would get hurt about you talking about an issue you have. If they have the same camera, they either have the issue or not. Maybe they shoot under other conditions, or shoot totally different subject… your issues doesn’t make “my camera” any less of a tool… Keep up the good work, and just ignore the criticism 😊
Yes the E-M1 Mark 2 is a fantastic camera, just recently sold mine as I have the OM1 and the OM-5 and the Mark2 just wasn't being used BUT I was very happy with the Mark 2, I'm so glad that I haven't experienced the issues you have with the OM-1 though, I find it a worthy upgrade and it has the name Olympus on it, it's a keeper that's for sure, love your work Robin and thank you
Robin, I have the OM1 MK I and the MK II and I have not experienced issues either. Meaning no issues that are extraordinary different from other cameras I have owned.@@robinwong
Affirmation . . . you are a good presenter, excellent English! Enthusiasm. As for Olympus, was just shopping for an extra body and the EM1 Mkii is an excellent choice, very similar in features to the ever popular EM5 Miii. I work with Pentax and Olympus . . . for the legacy glass! Good cameras, but to get the good glass is where the newest cameras on the block will empty your bank account. And . . . even at 70-years old . . . I don't hesitate to use a manual focus lens. After all, that's all we used back in the day!
Rob .. Thank you ! A comment regarding the person you are .. When you receive the OM 1 from an undisclosed person from the USA you paid forward. You provide your OM D e III to a friend who needs such equipment! As always we may be separated by thousands of miles. I look forward to watching and be informed here on the East Coast of USA w/ every You Tube presentation ! Be well and stay well ! 👍
The review I have been after. Honest and shows real world examples. I just bought an E-M5 then the E-M5 Mark II now I'm looking to get the E-M1 Mark II. I have an addiction hahaha. I'm new to the Olympus platform and I must say I'm really enjoying it. I came from Full Frame Nikon 🙂
Well said, Robin! I have two old Olympus E-PL1s, and they're still fantastic cameras (I have others but the Olys just deliver). I'm retired now and 90% of my shots are just casual snaps on my iPhone, but there's something about the Olympus rendition of colour that is unequalled. You are to be applauded for producing brilliant photographs, regardless of what you use. It's about the photographer, NOT the camera.
Agree. I am real happy with the 2014-2018 range of Olympus cameras… they have all of the bells and whistles I use/need. Really enjoying my Pen-F with new manual focus lenses… I like to focus on what I choose, not what the camera chooses. 😉
Hey Robin, i fell in love with travel photography and upgraded to a Canon EOS 100D up from a basic point snd shoot. The irony of it all being that becoming a DSLR user meant that i sprnt more time fiddling with lenses and less time appreciating the scenes and endsd up falling out of love with it all. Ive wanted to go back to more fundamental point and shoot and picked up a E-M5 mk ii and pancake lenses. I know there will be some people that bash Micro 4/3 but it really is true that the best camera is the one you actually use! Thank you for your content and reviews as they have been invaluable in confirming what i want out of my photography experiences.
I have a different wildlife experience. I have E-M1 MK II and OM-1. For wildlife, OM-1 is much more reliable and gives more photos in focus. I use 300mm F/4.0. I heard that Panasonic 100-400mm does not work well on OM-1.
Ok, you convinced me to get a new Mark II body. Loved the Mark 1 for the last 8 years, just so happens my spare just died like its brother after many years of excellent service. Originally bought both used. Time to buy a body new for a change.
I love your videos! I just switched from Nikon Z to an E-m1x and I’m loving thus new system. Your enthusiasm and straight to the point helpful information has been a huge help. Keep up the good work! Subscribed!
Great video as always. I still use a 16mp EM1 mk1 as my main camera, and nobody has ever had an issue with the quality of my work. At the moment my backup is an EM10 mk3, which also produces fantastic images. I'm intending to change the EM10 for an EM1 mk2 later this year, at which time the EM1 will become my backup
You are right ! Beside that, i had to send the om1 back for repair: the dials were almost blocked, the ibis and af was struggling... none of these happens with my EM1 mk2... i am a little disappointed by the om1...
5:25 EM5 Mk iii to the rescue! Wow. As an EM5 iii owner, that makes me happy. Can you let us know how the EM1ii and EM5iii compare .... 7:50 Oh you just did!
Thanks for the review, Robin. I appreciate your contentment and dedication to your work. I used a EM1 MKii for a few years. Loved the size and lenses. Wasn't fond of the low light performance of the sensor though. I'm using a Fuji XT-4 and love most everything about it and mostly pleased with the low light performance of the sensor. Once again...thank you for your videos and content.
A truly unusual continuation of this story. I have to say, that the problems with the OM-1 have surprised me and it's a very bad start for the new brand's flagship. However, the EM-1 Mark 2 is a great gear and will definitely work well in your hands again. I also have a Mark 2 and don't really need to upgrade. I keep my fingers crossed that they release new Firmware soon.
I tested the low-contrast problem with my OM-1. But I must say, the S-AF worked very well on a wedding in low-light. I do still have my M1 mark I which I love for streetphotography. And I still like using my M1 Mark II. I wouldn‘t have needed the OM-1, but I start enjoying the EVF and the HiRes without a tripod. Though my musclememory is still faster with the M1‘s.
Robin, love your enthusiasm and sheer skills, I’ve always loved how you get great results in dark clubs. Your low light tips are always appreciated. I am a long time Olympus user, e-510 to Pen-F and Em1 mk2 and 3, Thanks for all your hard work and great films.

@@myam754 The Mark II is an incredible value--especially if you can get a gently used one. I picked up my perfect condition used one last summer for about $600 USD. With the firmware update it's practically a Mark III; I think the joystick is the only thing missing. The best camera I ever owned.
Love the Karma of giving a gift after you receive a gift. Lovely balance!
Thanks! It important to give more than receive!
I just took my e-m1 mark ii out on the streets today... It is a fantastic camera in 2023... thanks for the video.
I operate 2 E M1 MkII cameras professionally. Love them.
My EM1 MkII is smiling as we watch this video together... 🙂
By what I heard and experienced it could easily be best digital camera ever made. I have my em1 ii silver edition and I will probably never sell it.
Fully love your dedication to the M4/3 system, I myself have started my photography in M4/3 and I think ill stay in it for long time. I like that you adress the problems with the m4/3 system and different cameras and that you are honest rare to find people like you on here.
Love your reviews and videos the most.
Thanks! The advantage of staying loyal and have used the same system for such a long time - I am able to spot the weaknesses and talk about them!
I watch photography videos to learn something new. NOT, to simply hear the same thing repeatedly. My take is that Robin is sharing his experiences with us. So if one of his viewers needs to shoot in a dark smokey place with an OM-1 they may benefit from having watched this video. Thanks Robin!
When I obtained my Mk 3, I simply couldn't let go of the Mk 2...it's a great camera.
Likewise.
What was wrong with 6D for such tasks?
@@photo1416 Absolutely nothing and I still have it. I prefer the E-M1 Mark II and don't take out the 6D. I particularly enjoy the bracketing mode and crop factor. The 6D's video I felt was unusable. Of course this is all preference and will differ for each person.
@@foto-spectivethanks for the answer . bracketing chamber in Raw? or already in the program
@@photo1416 Bracketing already in camera.
E-M1 Mark II is truly capable for macro and wildlife!
Canon 40D and 350D can still get great results today. The client that complains obviously has no idea what these cameras are capable of.
Robin, you are completely honest and your videos are great. Thank you! By the way, I am like you, still using my E-M1 Mark II, with 100% satisfaction. Warm regards.
Thanks, and E-M1 Mark II is still a great camera
Just keep on being yourself, you're doing great!
Thanks, sure will do so.
Stay honest!!! Your extreme competency, combined with your real honesty, are among your best assets!
Yeah somehow Olympus just nailed it when it comes to handling, the E-M1 Mark II feels so so good in hand!
And their price difference is 😅
My brother who shot pre-wedding photos uses Sony because of great autofocus. If you are doing a paid work, there is no room for error.
The 12-40mm f/2.8 is a killer lens. It changed my view of the M4/3 system when I got it. The first and only PRO lens I have.
I put like on your videos at the very beginning without watching the whole video yet, because I know you never will disappoint me! Great job Robin!
Thanks, appreciate that
Robin is one of the few human beings on the planet not confused by OM's model numbers. OM-1 OM-D E-M1 Mk 2 OM-D E-M1 Mk 3 OM-D E-M5 Mk whatever OM-G!
Thanks. Indeed the naming system for the cameras is a tragedy!
OM-G LOL!!!
Yeah E-M1 Mark II is still a great camera!
I trust Robin’s integrity!
Thanks
Hi Robin, Great work and you are still my go too reviewer of Olympus/OM, because you say it how it is warts and all. No system/camera is perfect it just needs to be what you need. And your reviews help me finding what I need. Thank you.👍
Thanks, and I am glad you found my reviews useful.
Bought an EM1.2 last year and it has taken over as my primary hiking/backpacking landscape camera. So much excellent MFT glass, and the EM1.2 IQ still holds up today. Just picked up an EM1.3 also - excited to try the handheld hi-res for landscapes!
How does the EM1 Mk iii stack up against the EM1 Mk ii? Is it just a matter of more fearures on the Mk iii?
You have always been honest and unbiased. Anyone who doesn't want truth is not someone you need to be concerned about. As for the EM1 mk 2 you are totally correct about it being worthwhile in 2023. Especially considering that the current firmware makes it essentially a different camera than version 1.0. Keep up the great coverage of 4/3, especially lenses which work well with any body. 😊
Thanks for the show of support, really appreciate it!
Thanks a lot, Robin, I'm still with it and enjoying my street photography process !!!!
Oh yes, it is a fantastic street shooting machine.
I'm still quite happy with my E-M1 (Mark I). If it dies maybe I'll grab a Mark II, but I like the tilt screen so maybe I'd just get another Mark I.
I prefer tilt screen for stills, but I admit, the swivel screen helps me a lot as a one man crew when making RUclips videos.
Yes the E-M1 Mark 2 is a fantastic camera, just recently sold mine as I have the OM1 and the OM-5 and the Mark2 just wasn't being used BUT I was very happy with the Mark 2, I'm so glad that I haven't experienced the issues you have with the OM-1 though, I find it a worthy upgrade and it has the name Olympus on it, it's a keeper that's for sure, love your work Robin and thank you
Great that you have not experienced any issues with OM-1. A lot of people have, and I hope OM Digital Solutions will fix it soon.
Thanks, you are being so kind. I do what I feel is right, I should pay it forward and my friend truly deserves it.
The review I have been after. Honest and shows real world examples. I just bought an E-M5 then the E-M5 Mark II now I'm looking to get the E-M1 Mark II. I have an addiction hahaha. I'm new to the Olympus platform and I must say I'm really enjoying it. I came from Full Frame Nikon 🙂
you tell the truth. For that I thank you. You been a great resource for building my photography quiver.
Thanks for the show of support!
I feel you Robin and appreciate your opinion as well as passion for what you do. Thanks.
Excellent video. I love my OMD EM1 Mark II as well. Thanks for pointing out the AF problem with the OM1. That was very useful information.
One thing is for sure, you are my fave photoffa, Robin!
Thanks, you are very kind.
Robin, you are fantastic. Thank you for your honest content.
No worries, I will continue to be honest
I agree. I like my OM-1 but I miss to many wild life shots. I'm back to using my EM-1X for wildlife. It's just better. They need a firmware fix NOW.
I have a different wildlife experience. I have E-M1 MK II and OM-1. For wildlife, OM-1 is much more reliable and gives more photos in focus. I use 300mm F/4.0. I heard that Panasonic 100-400mm does not work well on OM-1.
You are not the only one with this issue, many friends have also complained they missed shots.
Yeah for the longest time, E-M1 Mark II was my main camera, and E-M1 was my back up.
I admire your enthusiasm, Robin!
Love your enthusiasm. Always makes me want to get out with my camera.
You are right ! Beside that, i had to send the om1 back for repair: the dials were almost blocked, the ibis and af was struggling... none of these happens with my EM1 mk2... i am a little disappointed by the om1...
Oh dear, I am so sorry to hear about such issues! That is very worrying
@@robinwong OM repaired the OM1 within 15 days and.... I sold it as i do not use its new features...
Very good video Robin
Best Greetings From Sweden.
Thanks, glad I can share
That's great Robin. I've used the mark 2 for years. Now the mark 3 is my main camera. Not interested in the EM1X or OM-1.
Yeah both E-M1 Mark II and Mark III are excellent cameras.
Hai Robin, terima kasih untuk semua video mu. EM1 mark 2, adalah favorit saya, dengan lensa 12-100mm jadi pasangan yang sempurna. Salam
5:25 EM5 Mk iii to the rescue! Wow. As an EM5 iii owner, that makes me happy.
Can you let us know how the EM1ii and EM5iii compare .... 7:50 Oh you just did!
Still is mine as well. I still see it as a round packed camera from the future 😅
The OM-1 for me is still an absolute banger of a camera. The S-AF isn't as good as it should be in low light though.
I keep my fingers crossed that they release new Firmware soon.
yeah E-M1 Mark II works well for now, and I hope OM Digital Solutions comes out with a firmware fix soon.
There are so many really nice, in fact wonderful cameras in the used market.
Unfortunately I did miss shots shooting wedding in low light, especially low contrast areas. But that never happened with E-M1 Mark II or Mark III.
The quality of your photographs is insane! I don't get the m43/full-frame argument. Your photos look as good as most full frame shots.
Robin welcome back to Olympus.
Robin, love your enthusiasm and sheer skills, I’ve always loved how you get great results in dark clubs. Your low light tips are always appreciated. I am a long time Olympus user, e-510 to Pen-F and Em1 mk2 and 3, Thanks for all your hard work and great films.
love the mkii..... but when i got the m1x, that was a game changer for me....
Great!
