I loved Love in the Time of Serial Killers. She's actually a PhD candidate writing her dissertation on True Crime so it was totally relatable to my criminology days.

Suburban Hell was a nice surprise for me. I loved the idea then wasn’t sure it would be executed in a good way only for it to be one of my fav fun reads this year.

Cackle is soooo good and once you read it you’ll be like i cannot believe matt loved this bc it’s so far out of what i usually love. but it’s one of those books that hit me at the right time and i related so much

I'm planning to read None Shall Sleep next month! I just bought Cackle bc I've heard so many good things.
Reprieve is great! But it's not loved because it's mismarketed - people think that its a slasher but it's actually a slow burn, most of the book follows the people in the house and how they got there. Its more of a social horror.

I definitely would not say a darker shade of magic is at all reminiscent of the night circus. A totally different vibe imo. But I do think you might still like it!

Nice haul! I agree that Run Time is so heavy! Some of these are also in my tbr. I am one of the ones who hated Nothing But Blackened Teeth 😂 hope you like it better than I did. I plan on reading Clown in a Cornfield one and two in October. Can't wait! I can't believe you have never read a witchy book before! 😱 I hope you enjoy Cackle as much as I did.

I actually just finished my best friends exorcism by Grady Hendrix it was awesome I gave it an a on my reading scale
The 80s vibes in that book are completely immaculate if you’re into that
Ive been eyeing „love on the brain“ & „the love hypothesis“ a lot lately but usually romance books bore me so I don’t know if I should give it a try or not 😭
i feel like the female mc in love hypothesis is so interesting that i didn’t get bored! i usually have that same issue but i loved living in her head hahaha

Just so you know I've heard that only about 20% of Reprieve takes place in the escape room and most of it is flashbacks to the past!

ohh... good luck with the Troop. I couldn't finish it, I've never felt so physically ill reading a book. I can handle quite a bit, but that was not for me. I couldn't eat pasta for months without thinking of this book. 🤢

I bought The Cotton Candy Massacre right after I watched this video. I'm going to pick it up after Little Bird by Tiffany Meuret
ADSOM is nothing like The Night Circus and thank god because I hated TNC! And loved ADSOM. I'm not sure you're going to like it though. It's very different fantasy.
Reprieve is pretty interesting but VERY slow
