I've been watching DUST shorts for the entire day and night. Not the first time I've done it either. This is definitely one of my favorites. Absolutely love the costumes and the music. In fact, I'm going to watch it again. I know they wished they could make it a feature length film, but they did an excellent job with the time they had. Wish there was a love button for this!!
Thank you Katie - nothing better than a DUST marathon. You can always find us on Twitch where we have 24 hour marathon streams showing the best DUST short films, sci-fi tv shows & feature films. Check it out at twitch.tv/watchdustx
These guys leave Hollywood so far behind. Who wants to see yet another boring unoriginal super-hero film, when you can watch something original and stylish like this. Brilliant stuff!
I love this little flick: the plot, the special effects, the settings, the soundtrack, the characters. I return to it time after time. YOU'VE DONE A WONDERFUL JOB. I hope you'll create some more.😃🤗
Absolutely brilliant short film! 👏😀 There's actually a small part of me that wishes I'd seen this a couple of years ago. At the height of the pandemic & during first lockdown, hackers were having a field day! Loads of people were falling victim. Since hacking is a theme in "Breaker", this would have been more relatable if I'd seen it in 2020. The outfits in this are outrageous & look extremely furutistic; exactly what's needed. The whole look & atmosphere to this short film is just so bizarre & I love it!
Loved the concept! I see inspiration pulled from blade runner, ghost in the shell and akira - very original costume design as well! awesome keep 'em coming
There is a number of things I don't like about this film, like the fight scene or some of the music. But it still managed to burn itself into my memory.
Marvellous, perfect even if many will dislike it. The whole story and rendering is exactly as it should. For me it’s a 10 out of 10 movie. Thanks a lot.
A nod to William Gibson and cyberpunk. I'll have to re-read Burning Chrome, Johnny Mnemonic, Neuromancer, Count Zero, Mona Lisa Overdrive, and The Difference Engine (with Bruce Sterling).
my only problem is that the very ending, its the choice the Puppet Master gave to The Major at the end of Ghost In the Shell (Anime). But i liked it. I like 99% of what comes out of DUST.
This was a really really great proof-of-concept and visual treat. I know these are shorts and likely not meant to be overly analyzed or criticized. I still can't but help feel like it needs pointing out that her nerves were supposedly disabled so she can't feel pain yet she can suddenly immediately walk and is later seeing feeling a wall for support and as well can somehow tell she's bleeding and dying? I can Overlook the oh I can still completely function even though my nerves were just cut because okay sure. The whole point of cutting her nerves was to not feel pain so how come she feel the wall or feel that she's dying? All in all though very very great short great visuals wonderful effects Hollywood definitely learn a lot.
The sound and music were mixed very well. Great production values, like watching a very short movie. Would love to see more, felt it ended abruptly. Loving how cyberpunk has become popular lately. Interesting for my imagination.
Excellent video, wish the graphics would have been a little clearer in the fight scene and please post a net video soon!!! Like where she went!!!! You rock!!!!!!!!
Great short. Honestly, this film deserves more recognition in my opinion.
I really can imagine future Tokyo like this
ああ、毎日東京で退屈だ。どこか面白い町に行きてえ。
wait tokyo is not like this?
(ヾノ・ω・`)ナィナィ
Blade Runner.
Electric city in Tokyo looks like that at night :)

Be careful! Shit happens but miracles too!
Indeed, a feature with more cast & side plots/arc would be awesome.
These guys leave Hollywood so far behind. Who wants to see yet another boring unoriginal super-hero film, when you can watch something original and stylish like this. Brilliant stuff!
You mean leaves Hollywood in the "DUST".
Agreed. I so with you. Those super-hero movies are just garbage. And especially now that they have tried to take male franchises and feminize them.
@William Oakes Note the reference in the bar to GIBSON, author of Neuromancer
@William Oakes ghost in the shell is an adaptation of japanese anime series. XD
@@saqlainalvi5485 Why did you assume they were talking about the movie?
This is killer, it's like a trailer for a movie we never get to see. This one should come with hallucinogens.
2:43 The song is MSMSMSMS by Sophie Xeon
You have no idea how much I want this to be a feature film, I would watch it in a heartbeat.
Finally dust listen to our hearts by adding sub titles. Thats mean alot thanks man

DUST is basically Black Mirror on youtube 🤖👌
Well produced with great special effects along with very believable acting! Needs to become feature length.
This is such an incredible piece of work.. Not many can pull off cyberpunk of this quality. Hoping for a full length movie one day 🙏🤍
I watched this right before going to bed. I wonder what dreams I will have.

Enhanced ones!
Now this is the stuff, not the garbage of current social commentary other shorts present.
Me encanta esto, lo veo una y otra vez
A short but polished cyberpunk story. Very complete and plausible within the parameters established; a great example of "show, don't tell".
They need to use that lady in more films. She was just awesome!!
The first minute gives a strong Akira vibe, so i already love this.
If anyone's wondering at 2:52 the song is "SOPHIE - MSMSMSM"

I have read many sci-fi stories about this very subject! I love the way you presented it!

Yeah, Ghost in the Shell came to mind immediately. Good stuff here!
And Jonny Mnemonic
@@petterp4679 These all have their roots in William Gibson's "Neuromancer". One of the names mentioned in this short is even Gibson.
Yeah that is basically what Cyberpunk is.
A very well good short film.If they had a budget for a feature....any things possible.
That was really good!
There is a number of things I don't like about this film, like the fight scene or some of the music.

Trippy future fashion.
Shadowrun vibes! I love it
Just discovered you guys and im hooked. Amazing!
If this is my future? Were all in big trouble😱
Awesome! I really enjoyed this!
I love these type of films. Reminds me of Johnny nmumonic but upgraded to keep up with tech advances since then.
I LOVE HOW EXTREME AND EDGY THIS IS!
This is cyberpunk. Very Neuromancer. I love it!
This is cool!! I could see original creative power, flair and imagination!! Wonderful job!!✅✅
Love this . . . 100% spot on, among the very best that DUST has presented so far.
Japanese cyberpunk at its best!
This is so refreshing....original.....great work! Love it!
I love the concepts in this one :)
I love Dust!! I've been binge watching their amazing short films all day!!! Amazing!!
The influences are obvious and they did a great job turning them into something worth watching.
1:48 oh look what it is. Its a pepper robot. 😁
This vid is so unbelievably badass! Only one I watch repeatedly. So cool.
oh wow, this was incredibly to watch with all those well made costumes and world, and super creepy too in the blade runner tech style!
Been watching Dust for years now, surprised I have not come across this one years ago !
Definitely a worthwhile experience :)

WTF Thats some awesome stuff, nice argument, nice art direction, nice ending, nice effects. Do you have more of these?????? Congrats!
What a Fabulous visual feast for the eyes!
A nod to William Gibson and cyberpunk.
I'll have to re-read Burning Chrome, Johnny Mnemonic, Neuromancer, Count Zero, Mona Lisa Overdrive, and The Difference Engine (with Bruce Sterling).
My mind went right there too. I never read The Difference Engine... added to my to-read list and thank you.
Notice the robot was named Gibson.
Mona Lisa Overdrive is simply the coolest title I've ever read.
Wow this is splendid! The costume design is superb and the colour!
I love this
Reminds me of a VERY futuristic Club Kids... Any full length movies - these movie shorts are insanely great!

This is great right down to the klog shoes. I think some one was dipping into the acid bottle a little to much. LOL 100% thumbs up
Good sound design on this one
Nice find, Dust, an awesome short...
Thanks, Moses...
Id like to watch more short films or even a long film, like this one! This was awesome! My second time watching it!
that ending was like a gut punch!
I really thought this was a fever dream I had
I didn't realize that the Japanese could get any weirder than they already are
Thank you Dust, for making my life better
Thank you for watching.
Absolutely phenomenal . . . Neuromancer reactivated here in 2018, remarkably well done

This is vaguely reminiscent of the book "Snowcrash".
Late to reply on this one. I’d be curious to know how they got Pepper the Robot to do what it did, unless it was simply used for movements.
1:47 Hey Pepper is acting now
Literally cyberpunk 2077
I do not know if in the future the transfer of consciousness will be possible, but it is something unimaginable!
Wow, those subtitles are... generous.
