I was Baptized in May of 2021 and I told him I don't think so yet, that I feel like I need more time to right my wrongs or to "get right with the lord" and he put it to me like this when Jesus was crucified and hanging on the cross, the two thieves being hung up next to him one asked him to break them out of that if he was truly the son of God and the other said lord remember me in your father's kingdom and Jesus said today you're saved and we will be together in my father's kingdom or something along those lines. But the point is he believed in Jesus truly in that moment right before death but for a split second and he was saved. So that gave me some reassurance. Plus I've learned too that you don't fix yourself up to go to the lord but rather you go to the lord to be fixed. It takes time but keep praying even when you don't feel there's any progress being made just keep praying and before you know it you'll be a different person and you won't even realize it's happened. I struggle still but those two things really help me every single day.
