I literally bought a mouse because of Singapore lmao. If you’re in the finals and they lock Singapore it’s nearly impossible so get to it in time to click on it with a touch pad
This was by far your guys best performance as a unit consistency wise which makes this all the more painful. So many close calls with the clicking feel for Jake.
I’ve rewatched these an unhealthy amount of times. My favorite parts and dynamics of the group are : Jimmy forgetting they already got it right Zach trying not to give them the answer or hints every round because he knows the answer usually but just sits back Jimmy hating the countries inside countries Not getting Botswana’d The trifecta “Not my Lithuania. I’m a rural lith guy” Peru being deemed the “dog country” Jake always trying to keep the group positive until the rare moment he’s the one who messed up then it’s despair for awhile and all of a sudden Jim has to be the cheer up guy and that is amazing to see
By FAR your greatest rounds yet. Last time, even with the win, the consistency was nowhere close to today. We’ve gone from random guessing to almost always educated guesses right around the correct location. I’m so impressed. Flag guy killing it but Jake and Jim have gotten good so quickly. Easy dubs next time. My only advice for improvement solely from spectating would be better clock management. Need to be faster about making the decision to 50/50 if you think you might need it, the game doesn’t register instant clicks. GEOKINGS
Jake: I kinda want a tough one to start- The game: *Genie does as you wish* 34:41 When you see street signs in this style, the answer is gonna be either Chile or Argentina. Only those two countries have these kinds of signs. The steep mountains further narrow it down to Chile.
I played one of these matches with you! 15:00 I'm N0br0br0 and I got so nervous when I saw I was in with you that I couldn't even focus! But then you got second place! Crazy. You guys are rue legends. Better than Brenda from North Macedonia ANY day! Love you guys. Also, I threw America out in that Argentina round as a smokescreen! Trying to make the smokescreen more mainstream. I forgot that I wasn't supposed to throw it when I didn't know the correct location, however.
The two best smoke screen guesses: Ivory Coast when you know its Ireland (same colors just mirrored) Chad when you know its Romania (they look identical) There is a third that looks exactly like Norway but I always forget what one it is.
@@Joemamahahahaha821 Most (good) players can immediately tell them apart. Maybe if you knew it was Latvia and there had already been a Lithuania or Estonia guess quick ripping the remaining wrong one, then Austria then Latvia might work. Ireland/Ivory Coast is the best because that will fool most Silver and lower players. Other one ive had success with (especially if there arent 50/50 left) is going something like Ecuador if you know its a harder SE Asia spot (Sri Lanka or Laos). Most of these stop fooling people who are gold tier though pretty quickly.
The Norway one you're thinking of is Svalbard. Another common one is Monaco when you know it's Indonesia as they are identical. If you're really evil, there's a small island called Wallis & Futuna that uses the exact French flag if you know it's France, and an even smaller set of Islands called Heard & MacDonald Islands that uses the exact flag of Australia if you know you're there.
@@mikevallelyrulez8 Makes sense. I actually always thought that Svalbard was actually a part of Norway in GeoGuessr. For the most part though if you have good players they just wont fall for them though because the right answer is so obvious.
Yup, Singapore is indeed that small. You have to remember that it's a city-state, meaning it's both a CITY and a COUNTRY. On top of the fact that it's an island nation. Singapore is probably the easiest country to guess because the clues are all over the place. It has distinct font on their street signs, tropical climate, English everywhere, Malay and Chinese sounding names, and it's super developed. Singapore used to be a part of Malaysian federation but Malaysia kicked them out in 1965 because they didn't want to deal with their race riots (there was also conflict with Indonesia which led to Indonesia bombing places in Singapore 37 times including the MacDonald House). Johor Bahru in Malaysia right across from Singapore is another city that appears often on GeoGuessr Competitive. The distinct yellow street signs make it very apparent that you're in Johor Bahru...since they quite literally have Johor Bahru right on them.

Jimmy: The Gambia, they stole the river The British: *What can I say except, you're welcome!* Them creating The Gambia be like: "We gotta have a colony along this river to control trade" "Sir, the shape is gonna end up being an intestine, are you sure-" *"DID I STUTTER?"*
LOVE the battle royale stuff, but would also like another one of the more relaxed slowly exploring USA locations trying to nail down the perfect exact location. Loved those ones as well.
Man, I live and die with you guys on these games. I’m with Jake 100% on that click. I know EXACTLY how he feels. The thing that sucks is if he was playing locally, his click is in. He’s got it. But playing on a server that is who know how far away…He definitely got it in by that computer’s clock, but not the game’s server…
I love the idea of an office competition. Multiple teams with their own account playing battle Royale private matches. Would be very difficult to film and produce but would be very entertaining.
Helpful hint: Romanian is a Latin language, so it can look sorta like French, Spanish, or Italian. Bulgarian, right next door, is a Cyrillic language, so it uses characters that look a lot like Russian or Ukrainian.
shouts out to the perros from Peru And Jake spotting that Singapore style high rise out of the blurriness was insane. This whole video was nothing but pure Geoguessr skill.
Gotta start looking for the license plates. The blue square on the long white plates is the EU. So everything in europes besides Ukraine, Russia, and UK. UK has orange in the front license, white on back and Ireland is switched. Russia has small plates. Also which cars drive on which side. For instance Japan, UK, Aus, New Zealand, Thai, Singapore, etc all drive on the left
These videos have no right being as intense and fun as they are. I'd love to see you guys bring on an Alphabet Guy - not even someone who knows how to speak any of the languages, but just someone who knows what alphabet the signs are in when you get out of the western European countries to help narrow down your search.
This is honestly your best game so far. Better than the last time. You went to a lot of finals and semi finals man. That fight among elites was epic man, you guys would have crushed it if there’s no time constraints. Tough luck, next week we go again! P/s: Fvck Singapore for being too damn small.
Lifelong Houstonian here. The Texas guess at 1:06:14 was amazing. I am about 95% sure that is a neighborhood in the Meadows Place subdivision of southwest Houston.
Also. I think it'd be great if each increment, you switch up the layout so nobody gets stuck book-ending the 'LINK.' Felt bad for Jimmy when he didn't feel comfortable book-ending. Get on it Zach.
Is there a function in the game where you can type the country and it bring you there or something? Could same from another Ireland incident or another Singapore
You guys have come a long way, like in the first episodes it was random guessing but now you guys are consistently getting the right areas. It’s a bit painful sometimes as a European😂 But you guys are understanding europe better!! Also if you’re in a country with really small cars or weird looking ones driving on the left, it’s almost always Japan. Romanian writing can throw you off as it could look like Italian or Spanish. For example at the beginning a sign said “de carne” which could be Spanish, but if you get Eastern European vibes then it’s Romania. German houses are also blurred out.
Also I really don't know why, but I love watching u guys play this. I honestly look forward to it along with most of your content. It makes my day a little better every day
Tough break Jake. Your hand wasn’t used to swiping and scrolling on the bigger screen giving you delayed timing. You just have to practice and perfect the sways and rhythm of the big screen.
I love the Peru-dog guess at 40 mins. And immediately after that you are able to recognize Korean writing from, say, Japanese script. And then you immediate know that English in Asia is probably the Philippines (if it's not Singapore). That's some real geoguessr sh*t, fellas! Well played!
Just a slight pronunciation correction - Lesotho sounds like Les-oo-two. And with Arabic, it will only be Jordan, UAE, or Tunisia (Israel is Hebrew and Arabic sometimes). Egypt, Lebanon, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia aren’t in the game
Damn, those losses due to the other people being a little bit faster hurt... you guys were on fire today Edit: at 56:30 it was Mexico. Zacatecas is a state (and a city in that state) in the north of Mexico.
When there are like arabic letters it's just either Tunisia, Jordan, Turkey or Israel. And guys for the nth time Philippines has no funky alphabet so that's either Thailand or Cambodia.
What if every time someone makes an absolutely horrible guess and you’re like What are they thinking!?, they’re actually just unsuccessfully trying to smokescreen you like Jake trying to throw people off his scent with Australia.
That mis-click on the Singapore was absolutely devastating, I felt my heart drop
Great content tho. He was fuming 😤
That would’ve been my last game if I was playing so props to Jake for sticking through it
