Alastor is trying to cover up how shaken he was by what Husker said. I am guessing the nature of his contract is something he doesn't want Charlie to know. Yet somehow Husker managed to find out, so who else might know?

the fact that husk not only was shaking, But was audibly quieter and didn't say anything other than a meager "understoon" Showed just how fearful he was, Keith davids did a great job
I’ve noticed how in episodes 1-4 Alastor is seen as a goofy creepy villain, but episode 5 decided to finally take an actual darker tone in the character, actually showing how terrifying the radio demon can actually be when he wants to.
Funny how the character who swears the least, makes the least sexual references, and is seemingly the least self-inserted is arguably the favorite of the main cast.
This scene helped remind us that however enjoyable he is to watch, and despite currently being on Charlie's side, Alastor is still very much a villain, and one whose wrath you shouldn't invoke unless you're a match for him.

I won't be surprised if Alastor goes down as one of the greatest animated villains ever in animation. It's been a long time since I became hooked onto a certain character. He has all the elements for a great villain.
I actually think Alastor is on Lilith's "leash" and that's why he wants to help Charlie so bad, that deal with her would break him free. And that could be one of many reasons why he doesn't like Lucifer.

I don't think it's just as simple as "Alastor reminding everyone of who he is" Alastor is a very headstrong kind of guy and it doesn't take much to upset him. However, it's clear that Husk struck a very raw nerve with what he said, to the point that his signature smile starts to look much more forced. It's specifically what Husk says that sticks out to me the most. It seems to imply that Alastor himself is owned/controlled by someone or something, and that he acts all high and mighty to forget that fact. Its important to remember that while Alastor does have a lot of power over those around him, he's not invincible, and has his own weakenesses, and this scene may have exposed the biggest one of all.

I think one of my favorite details about this is how Alastor approaches husk in his true demon form, but then shrinks back down to his regular form just to rub in the fact that he’s so powerful and intimidating even when he’s holding back.
This is what I want to see more of, especially in Helluva Boss. When lesser demons shit talk overly powerful demons just for the latter remind them just who they're disrespecting and that they could end them in a millisecond.

This scene shows that Alastor and Husk are a parallel to Valentino and Angel. Alastor is not a good guy and is someone we should not be rooting for in the long run

I have zero faith in him to not take advantage of the hotel situation the moment it's clear he can become more powerful - if this episode proved anything, being powerful is the most important thing to him at all times. I don't think he really cares as much for Charlie as he acts, I think it was just to one-up Lucifer because he knows Lucifer is more powerful than him. And the way he makes sure Husk knows he's his pet, that he's in charge, it's just like Valentino but without the sex.

When people compare Husk and Alastor’s situation, they’re really not comparable, but I just want to say this: Both Val and Alastor made threats against Angel and Husk’s lives and existence when they got angry. Val would never destroy his money maker unless he *had* to. Alastor absolutely would destroy Husk (and it probably wouldn’t result in complete annihilation.) In short; Alastor is way more powerful and dangerous than I first assumed and Husk is on thin ice…

When people compare Husk and Alastor’s situation, they’re really not comparable, but I just want to say this:
Both Val and Alastor made threats against Angel and Husk’s lives and existence when they got angry.
Val would never destroy his money maker unless he *had* to.
Alastor absolutely would destroy Husk (and it probably wouldn’t result in complete annihilation.)
In short; Alastor is way more powerful and dangerous than I first assumed and Husk is on thin ice…
Alastor simps: He cares for the other residents in the hotel like friends
Meanwhile Alastor: Threatening to rip Husk’s soul to shreds and broadcast his screams for all of hell to hear
It sure is lonely being an Alastor simp who fully recognizes that he’s evil af and no help comes from him without something to gain out if it.
