    My Asian parent says the same By saying “if you want something you are going to have to work for it” paired with the fact that I am a middle child it made me very independent.

    Traditional parent approach. Very relatable. They did the best they could, that they knew how to do I guess

    Have the same parents and the effects of that approach is relative to each kid. Wasn’t the best nurturing for me, actually internally created resentment towards them, and my personal experience doesn’t penalize this method. It might work better for other kids.

      Every child and every person needs love and nurturing in connections, not only discipline. Your reaction is very understandable. Physical contact literally has effects on the nervous system.

    My dad didn’t believe in mental disorders or mental illness. I was diagnosed with anorexia when I was 13/14yrs old and suffered from it for around 4yrs and nearly died from it. My mom did EVERYTHING she could to support me and get me help and therapy! But the moment she went away on a business trip, my dad threw me out from home the first time I wouldn’t eat a meal and ordered me not to come back home before I was done ‘making drama’. I was 14yrs old and left on the street with no money and a serious eating disorder.
    My mom separated him, when she came home and found out about it.

    No offense but KSI is being so silly man like it's common for Asian or African parents to not feel affection towards their kids as they should, it's like embedded in their DNA which causes problems but to show that to the whole world by making a documentary is a bit too much ...

    • @authorofone
      @authorofone Год назад +18

      It’s entirely not embedded in their DNA, it’s just a constant lack of empathy or tenderness for their own children because their parents were like that to them, and documentaries have been made about far worse.

      @@authorofonelack of empathy, I don’t think so, lack of tenderness I will say yes. My dad is worse but when I was leaving the continent to the US for school, I’ve received photos and videos of my dad crying at the airport, my mum and the other family members were not crying, and that the first time that we saw him emotional, he said he has never been separated from his kids, it was like a part of him leaving and that when I knew that my dad loves me but the way they trained them was just different and honestly I will keep the same way with my own kids and at the same time also express my love toward my kids.

    The relationship between biological parents and their children is a close relationship because there is a blood relationship
