Same!!!! Shady friend for sure. Though, I don’t really agree with the helicopter theory. Don’t you think falling from that height and through a hole, there would be more blood spattered on the ceiling and surrounding the area. I also live next to a children’s hospital that uses a helicopter. You can see it flying and landing on top of the building and it’s LOUD so I don’t really buy that someone trying to murder would want that much attention.

@@manifesting7671 I live near a hospital with helicopter too. I hear it flying by my house daily. Oddly enough both times I was in the hospital to give birth, I never heard it at all! And the windows in the maternity ward face the side where the landing pad is (it's next to the parking lot, not on top of the building). Maybe hospital walls are more soundproof than other buildings? But yes I agree it's too loud to not be noticed at a hotel.

@@manifesting7671 my theory is that he never fell, and he was never up on that rooftop at all. His injuries are consistent with severe beating. It's just that the cops quickly decided it was suicide so they said the injuries must have been from falling from heights.

A few years ago I had a psychotic break from meds for my MS. I spent a month in the hospital, but started going crazy a few weeks before I was admitted. I thought I had the answer to the universe and needed to get messages to certain people. It turned into thinking people were watching me, determined to stop me. I’m also a writer ... and thinker. Months after , we’d find little messages written on strips of paper ... taped to things like the back of the garbage bin in the bathroom. I tend to think something more like foul play happened to him because of his end ... but he definitely seems to have had the same tendencies of me in my psychotic break! PS-No more meds ... totally fine now 🤗

She thought our house had hidden cameras and we were on mtv, she could literally hear her fans cheering for her when she did things that were out of the ordinary or irrational. Ok, so instead of him really wanting to join the masons because he liked them and wanted to be part of it. How about he wanted to teach himself just enough to get in so he could make some type of expose film?? Right before he went missing he ordered some equipment, right? He was playing the part with the help of his 'Masons for Dummies' book. He secretly investigated and recorded. They caught on and he was a goner. He was super into film and was being secretive. He knew it was dangerous and he prob had a feeling they were catching on, hence the paranoia with his wife and the puzzling phone calls. The letter was his attempt to get their trust or to save himself? His friend was doing with him, but Porter actually ended up really wanting to join for real. Porter called Rey, told him to meet him for a secret meeting, they were on his helicopter and Rey was then pushed or ordered out. Porter's first sacrifice? The company, the masons, porter they are all together and they killed Rey. Just a thought...i have no idea. LOL i haven't heard of this case before, but very, very interesting! Good video guys!

You don’t even need a warrant to look up ATC data, there’s dozens of websites and software. You just need time/date and the number in which the aircraft is registered under (I assume). Hopefully, someone who’s knowledgeable does an in-depth investigation because I know this case can be solved. Saw this case on unsolved mysteries, and I've wondered if possibly he was killed beforehand and whoever did it threw his body off the top of the roof to hide it/get rid of it. This could possibly explain the inconsistent break in his shins, if he was already deceased, I would imagine it would be easier for his body to fall straight down like a projectile. If say 2 or more people worked together and threw his body off with enough force, maybe that would explain how his body landed so far out from the roof. Also with his body having been decomposing for several days before he was found, possible evidence of him being killed in some other fashion before being thrown from the roof could have been destroyed. Just a theory, not sure how realistic this is.

  • @fifijabs4463
    @fifijabs4463 4 года назад +56

Maybe his shins were broken from having a car driven towards him. If I remember correctly there was a car park on of the upper levels of the building. If a car was driven towards him at speed the force could propel his body to land further than expected.

Honestly for some reason I had always thought the hole was already there. I don’t know how no one noticed a hole but it seems really odd to me that a person would create a hole in the roof of a building. Also if someone was falling from a high area(especially if they could possibly be dead before the fall) how would they stay completely vertical to go through the roof that way? I definitely don’t know a lot about physics either so I don’t know how that would all work. Just my thoughts.

If she needed somewhere to stay. And for 1 or 2 nights I wasn’t going to be there? Why not? I trust my husband and it wouldn’t even come into my mind that he was going to cheat on me at the first chance he got! And if for some reason she advanced on him I would trust he wouldn’t allow it and ask her to leave! My mom (his daughter in law) described him as highly intelligent and a very prominent member of the community. My grandpa died of a heart attack when I was 6 months old…. But, both my parents seemed to brag and love the idea that he was part of it. He was also a high member of the Shriners which is part of the free masonry. They said he did a lot of good and helped a lot of people through his membership.

Easy to assume that but he was in the middle of an SEC investigation and did not want any public attention about his business. Would his body even gain enough speed to go through the metal roof vertical by jumping from the ledge or roof? I think a helicopter or small plane was evolved and someone put his car there after he was pushed or jumped out after being tortured for information by breaking his leg(s).
He could've jumped himself to be sure they would find his body. Knowing they were planning to drop him in the ocean?
After taking the car away from the airport and parking the car at the hotel, the person(s) went on the roof of the parking garage and threw his other belongings on it not damaging them enough. The reason for that is to make it look like a normal suicide. Too much of his personal belongings missing would be suspicious.
The hidden letter was his freemason acceptance speech, the reason he went to the helicopter/plane in such a hurry. Unfortunately, it was a trick to get him vulnerable and alone, knowing his interest and motivation to get in this society would get him out of his house. And the reason for all of this? Maybe he found out something about the company he worked for. Most likely about money.

First of all, I thought that letter was a speech the second I heard it. Consider this: we don’t know how long he’d been trying to be invited into the Freemasons. Maybe he had been accepted at this point. It certainly sounds like it when he refers to his brothers and sisters (like he is part of that family now), as well as when he talks about how much he values “our” secrets, again speaking like he is one of them. The language used may be deep and a little cryptic, but this society goes back ages. It’s not uncommon to use that kind of language, especially in a group that is so exclusive. Also, even though police couldn’t trace the call from Agora to a specific person, he didn’t WORK for them anymore! It seems obvious to me that Porter called him back from a work phone, after receiving the message Ray left him after church the other day. Whatever Ray “figured out” threatened Porter and Porter had something to do with his death that night. I think Porter was part of the Freemasons too perhaps.

My mother, my daughter, and myself drove into that derecho on our way back to Iowa from Ohio. It hit us head-on north of Chicago and I swear to God we were in a tornado. I'm not a dramatic person, but it was super scary. At one point everything got dark and shit just started lifting off the ground. We were stopped on a bridge on an interstate in bumper-to-bumper traffic. Police cut off every exit so no one could get off. The semi truck next to us look like it was starting to tip over a couple times. At one point we even felt our own a car start to lift off the ground on the driver side. My 5 year old asks me from the back seat, "mommy, are we going to die?" Of course I said no. But for a minute there, I wasn't sure. After about 20 minutes traffic had moved along far enough we were able to get off the highway and park somewhere safer until it passed. Even still,I didn't realize the gravity of the situation until we got back to Des Moines. Our neighborhood was wrecked. It looked like Mississippi after Katrina in some places. My sister still doesn't have electricity yet, 9 days after. My best friend lost her home in a derecho in Tennessee earlier this year. It's just crazy to me that I've never even heard this word before (my dad is a storm chaser, so I guess I thought I knew everything), and now we have 2 in the US in one year. Blows my mind.

That had to be so scary. I'm glad you all made it out safely. I've never heard that word before either.

I'm in Illinois, grew up near the Illinois Iowa border. Some of my friends and family have been without electricity for almost a week. The storm happened so fast and it took down so many trees and power lines. My mom has to get a new AC unit and most of her appliances were zapped in the storm too. She's been without air conditioning for 2 weeks in 80 degree heat + high humidity . I also work for crop insurance and we are getting alot of claims coming in due to the damage on corn and soybeans.

I’m so glad y’all decided to cover this case. I really have no clue what happened. the helicopter theory makes sense, but I think the hole would’ve been bigger if he was dropped from such a large height. there’s no way he jumped off the hotel, 45 ft is a crazy amount of distance he would’ve had to go. to me, the 11th floor ledge theory makes the most sense. maybe he was meeting someone (either for work or for the freemasons) in one of those offices or condos, and they pushed him out of an open window. the letter - imo - was his way of introducing himself to the freemasons. I don’t think anyone will figure it out for sure until Porter, his company, or whoever he got the phone call from decides to speak out. the craziest part of the entire case imo is the fact his phone and everything was pretty much fine once he was found - almost none of the theories can explain that.

As soon as Josh discussed "The Derecho", I had flashbacks to southern New Jersey in 2012. We had a "Derecho" hit our area, it was so odd and we ended up without power for over a week. 2012 was a rough year for souithern New Jersey, thanks to Super Storm Hurricane Sandy. Granted, I was home alone for both of these events.

The letters he wrote was explained by his wife. She said he liked writing random things. She said he's a writer first and foremost. And loved to create stories that's why he's jotting down random notes and ideas from time to time, albeit some are weird. That's how writers are, she said.

She said his thoughts were organized, not at all like what was found. Those were his favorite movies etc.

1:24:01 In terms of the physics, just think of an Olympic Diver…it’s incredibly difficult to fall in a vertical position, especially with and forward movement. Imagine being pushed or jumped then he wouldn’t fall straight down. If you were dropped, perhaps having something tied to way him down by the ankles you would fall vertically. Then you go in and remove the weights. Momentum doesn’t line up with falling vertically
