    You should stick a couple of them bricks from algae barn in your display tanks for when you do projects like this.
    Would be much more effective compared to using a large bit of rock

    No need to cycle. You are using cycled water at a rock. Put some maxspect nano spheres on a zip tie in circles in your aquaclear. A few pieces of poylfilter pad and two ply filter pad. Only thing you need to check is salinity, if you do water chsnges. Add two very small power-heads to randomize the flow.

    • @inventoryking
      @inventoryking  4 года назад

      I am going to have to add some powerheads. My plan is to add a 6 line wrasse, hermit crabs and some snails to the system for pests

    I thought you shouldn't use a USB cable in the place of an Aquabus cable (Apex). Be careful.

    Hi Paul! Loved the video! do u get high electric bills running your marine tank, lights, skimmer etc.?? I'm finding it very expensive! I absolutely love the marine hobby but I'm going to go tropical because I've heard it's a lot cheaper! I'm still going to watch your videos though! 😀👍

    • @inventoryking

      @@inventoryking hi Paul! I'm not sure yet whether to go tropical or cold water, if tropical I really like neon tetras & things like that & if coldwater maybe fancy goldfish! but i'm not sure yet! 😀👍

    I’m gonna get the ocean Revive light u have for your coral qt tank. my reef tank Needed a stronger light seems like the corals was stuck and not showing any signs of growing. What’s your thoughts 💭 on this light 🤔

    • @inventoryking
      @inventoryking  4 года назад +1

      It seems to be good, although I bought an AI Prime HD to replace it. I want more control.

    You don’t need to have cycled media in a coral QT tank if there are gonna be no fish you don’t need bacteria there is no waste

    • @GSP-76
      @GSP-76 4 года назад +1

      You still feed and put stuff in the water even if it's just corals...there will always be waste...fish just have more waste comparitively speaking. All QT tanks should be cycled.

    • @inventoryking

      I am going to get a 6 line wrasse for the system so it can hunt for missed pests. And some hermits and snails for any algae issues
