I love your how to play videos. I play a self made stick dulcimers which are very much like a CBG but lighter stringed. So, I can adapt a lot of stuff done for CBGs, but just in a lighter tone.
A fun bit to add at the end is the bass run, open low G hammer on 4th fret hammer on 5th fret, open D string, hammer 2nd fret to open high D (or something like that)
@@ck2q Sorry, I usually include a tuning guide at the start but obviously forgot this time around. Anyway, it's tuned to G D G - See ruclips.net/video/OUhuhnFoeIU/видео.htmlsi=Cx18miqburfFggZ0 for a full easy tuning guide for the majority of cigar box guitar tunes I play.
@@OldManWilliams I appreciate you getting back to me also do you know if it is possible to play this with a cbg that only has a single fret? And just play around till it sounds good or would I be wasting my time trying to find that last G to sound even remotely similar?
I think it would be really difficult to play with a single fretted CBG, regardless of where the actual fret is. You could work out a version with slide for the chord changes but it's going to sound a lot different.@@deadjrnnl
