  • FCK127 is a complete kit that cuts 120 film to the size of 127, and rolls it onto a 127 film spool. The process happen in two steps that are completed by using different components in two different rounds the same box.
FCK127 is light-sealed, so you can (with some precautions) go through the entire process in light. As a result of cutting 120 to 127 format, you will also get a leftover film that is 16mm unperforated film.
You can get this kit here: www.camerhack....

Wow what a great design! If you could mass produce and sell these on B&H in NYC you would sell tons of them😊👍

I've now used this successfully to do my first 127 film. Worked well but I won't know whether I've fogged the inner end until I've used the film!

You taped the end of the film. The beginning must be taped to the backing paper, the end must be free.
Also two little prongs in the blue piece and two little holes in the white piece would eliminate taping the two together to hold them in place.

Grande idea, veramente grande!

After you have cut 38 films, you also get one 100ft roll of 16mm movie film, if you glue them all together and perforate them.

so good! I got an idea to use those small hairbands (for braids?) instead of tape to keep the blue 127 spool bottom in place. I like all the colors. Though maybe I would choose to color code so all the parts from the first step with the cutting is one color and all the parts from the spooling from 120 to 127 is one color. I'm thinking it makes it easier to remember what goes with what if one would buy this, use it and have it laying around for a few years before using it again. but it does look better like this :D

A question: Will the backing paper portion of the 127 cut line up with the camera windows? Because if not, the cut film could be rolled up in a 127 backing paper retrieved from existing film.

Ingenious! I prefer the Mark 1 version over the Mark lll too many steps. Is the version still available? Thanks, again ingenious!🙃

Hey, Ive just been using your cutter and I have a question. I noticed that the take up spool with the cut 127 film is bulged significantly on the side where the little piece (which also sits in there very loosely) is put into the 120 spool. And although it seems like the bulge is not really visible in this video, Im afraid that the film might take some light and develope. This happened to the first roll of 120 film I cut with your cutter but Im not sure if this is related to that bulge or maybe to some difficulties of me trying to cut the film for the first time.
In case it is, do you have any advice how to protect the film from the light when you take it out of the box after cutting it?
    Regards Vincent

Hello Vincent. Sometimes I don't think that bulge causes fogging or light leakes. I think this happens more probably when the final 127 film is not tighly winded around the spool. To avoid leaks or fogging, I always pull the tail of the film very tight in order to close all the possible gaps. This also makes the roll thinner, so I can put it in the Kodak Vest Pocke, which has very small film slots. In any case, I suggest to do the cutting and rolling operations in dim light, or even better in a dark changing bag, to avoid the light as much as possible. Hope this answer your question. :-)

@@camerhack Thanks for your response! I feel like the main problem is the little piece that you put in the take up spool. Mine is far too "high", so the winding rotation when cutting needs pretty much force whenever the part with this pieces strokes the walls, and at the end that bulge appears. Also, the piece always falls out of the take up spool slot because its too thin in width/length.
I've been wasting some rolls of 120 film already.
I really like the cutter but maybe you should work on that to improve it furthermore :)

@@camerhack does Mark 3 allow for the 110 remainder to be rolled out as well or keep closed like this to be unexposed. Has the company also thought of making 110 cartridges?
