I am very happy to have purchased this module. It works perfectly if you follow the explanations in the video. I have managed to cut several black-white and color films that I develop and scan myself. It works very well with my rolleiflex 4x4. 👍👍

    Fantastic! Just ordered one.
Having some extra 16mm unperforated film will be handy for reloading my subminiature 16mm cameras, and I’m looking forward to shooting my 127 cameras more!

Ce découpeur fonctionne parfaitement. Je l'utilise beaucoup. Maintenant la lame coupe moins bien. Est il possible changer la lame ? Si, oui, comment ? et quelle lame utiliser ?

    Ciao Davide,
    Complimenti!

Nice video! Can we see the numbers of film correctly through the red window? My 127 film camera has the red windows on back, so..

Hello. It depends on the camera. I have three different 127 cameras, and they all have the red window in different positions. I suggest that you cut a small part 120 backing paper like my cutter does, and check in your camera if the markings are visible.

I am afraid the design of this device is suboptimal. There is a reason roll film is only taped at one end. This is to allow for the creep effect that is caused by spooling, pushing the film forward while it is being rolled, thus resulting in the film end moving by 10-20mm. If the film is also taped at the end, it is not allowed to move this distance which in turn causes it to deflect from the base. This is why it is not tight when you've passed it through the respooling step, and this effectively results in uneveness when it is rolled through the camera, which can cause loss of sharpness.

HELLO, Thank you for your comment and SORRY FOT THE LATE REPLY. Yes, I know this is a problem, and this is why some photographers prefer to manually roll the film onto the 127 spool after it's been cut. You would need a dark changing bag and some practice, but it's doable and leads to better results in less forgiving (more pro) cameras. On the other hand the respooler makes things easier, especially for beginners. It is an option, and many find it useful. Nevertheless, it is possibile to get the cutter without the respooler for those who prefer to manually respool the film. Regards :)
