It definitely did take a lot of time and effort! I have to thank my amazing friends for this. I think it took a couple of months of planning and video sharing because everyone lives in different cities. Then the weekend of the wedding they were able to practice together.
I'm just curious, in indian weddings are only performances by the people who know how to dance? Or all the guests are allowed to dance at some point? Cause I don't understand...european weddings are so different.
ubyta06 anyone that's close to the bride or groom usually do a performance. It doesn't really matter if you can or can't dance but I think everyone can dance 😜, you've just gotta be confident and thats makes the difference. Towards the end i think everyone just joins and has fun.
LaughOutLoud xx That was not what i meant. I mean I feel like I'm watching an award show...with performances one after the other, rehearsed and all. In our weddings we just dance whenever we want with who we want. If you like a song, you get up and dance, even the bride and groom do that. Idk feels weird to sit and watch others dance. I watched earlier a 35min video performing at a mehndi ceremony...like why do i have to stay still and watch those people...your weddings feel like a show. No offense!
No offence taken lol, its actually quite common in most cultures for example in Britain at royal weddings etc people would be first entertained. Its been a tradition for years. Most people are entertained by performances e.g dances, singing, movies. its more common than you think for example the first dance you watch the bride and groom dance or the bride and father. Ours just has more spark and loud music and awesome moves :P. We all get to dance in the end with everyone, once the performances have ended so we get the best of both worlds i guess. And as far as showing off that just depends on people not culture.
must say .. people dance in wedding even if they dont know how to and they still are appreciated. and it seems so much fun .. ssooooo energetic and lovely
All guests are definitely allowed to dance at Indian weddings but typically friends & family of the bride/groom will choreograph atleast one synchronized dance during the Reception like the one above :)
