Great vid! Ordering mine right away but I have a small question, as you mentioned it is bulky but does it get in the way of the red flashing lights you see after you lock the car? Aka the immobilizer activate lights that flash when you lock the car? Thanks!
@@LifeofPandK I am not sure where you got your footage but I have seen the fitcam show much better video than the one you showed side by side. If that was your personal video from the fitcam, maybe you received a defective one?
@@LifeofPandK I just installed mine and am trying to figure out if it functions correctly. I left the car off for several minutes but the cam kept blinking blue. No idea why. Rather I manually powered it off by pressing the power button and it turned off but then several minutes later I was moving near the car and the camera again powered on and started blinking blue. I did not even open the door. Not sure why it started recording. So I just want figure out how to make sure the cam is always off except when I drive. Thanks.
@@LifeofPandK I did format it. Also the BMW network keeps throwing off the dash cam app. Do I just manually log off the BMW network every time to keep the dash cam app on? Is there a way the cam somehow is voice/noice activated? )
The only way I found that works best for me is to disconnect my phone from the car. Once done with the camera I reconnect the phone. It’s a pain but all the cameras I have tested do this.
We cancel the motion sensor, and only support G-sensor. If the car has collided while parking, the dashcam will automatically start recording and lock the video so that it will not be overwritten by loop recording.

No you can still clearly see them from the outside.
Thank you all for watching. I am liking the replacement dash cam.
Wish you could turn off the stupid greeting sound it makes when you turn the car on. I tried holding down the button for 5 seconds and it didn’t work
In what way is this better than the Fitcam? I believe the Fitcam is capable of 4K. Feature wise, I don't see much difference.
Capable vs actual footage ? It fits better and the app is a plus.

Yeah it was from my FITCAMX. Not sure if it’s defective or the norm. I had all the settings on max. It’s not the worst but the colors are off.
How long after turning the car off does it stop recording and goes off?
I have never timed it but I believe whenever the power it draws from shuts off.

Did you format the SD card? If I recall I had to do that when it happened.

Does it have motion sensor and records when car is parked?

Would it work on the sis x4
I believe it sounds as they are virtually the same car.
