I’ve been heading in the “bigger is better” direction for snare drums, with a 14*8 steel snare getting the most use. Now, this 12*5 sounds wicked!
It’s a sound that I definitely associate with you! I like it a lot!
I see myself owning one of these soon..like real soon. What a beautiful sounding instrument
In less than 48 hours we are SOLD OUT. Y’all are wild. Thank you! 🙏🏼
2022 Update:
All 50 snares from both batches have been sold. Please see description for more info.
Do you have any more of these snares available now? Thank you
That lil snare is KILLER
Incredible sound!!!
That is one sexy sounding snare! Congrats Adam, have always loved your sound!
As an Aussie myself I am definitely keen to support this!! sounds so good that I'd love to add this to the lineup
I got my 12 x 5 Entity snare (after listening to Adam for years) about 8 months ago. LOVE it. GET one. Super versatile. Highly recommend
Let me know if you ever think about selling it!
I really love the sound of that snare Sir. Adam. It makes me wanna do the ghost notes and shuffles all day.
Nice!! I actually have been playing with a 12“ snare for about 2 years or more, its feels so weirf getting back to a 14“ snare :D
That’s awesome! Happy for you OD!
This is no doubt the next snare I’m aiming for to add to spice up and level up my setup🔥 coming from a 14*5 achrylic drum this drum sounds sooo different but so good.
Best snare sound I’ve ever heard. Honestly
I was lucky enough to order one. It's a fabulous snare that I look forward to having in my studio. Thank you for the opportunity to buy one, and the regular drum videos my friend.
Woo hoo! Excited for you brother! I can't wait to see it in your studio!
I really love the snare you used in those vids, always sounded amaaaazing!
I want one!
This snare sounds fantastic. Cheers Adam!
I like the sound of your mix you do for the videos the drum sound really clean and sharp when I first heard your drum kit in your lessons I was like well that’s near sounds awesome now I know what it is yes it is an awesome sooner he said it comes to the music in this loud yes I hear a pop loud thanks for sharing the snare with us
So nice and dry! Love the rimshots!
lol, as an Aussie I just find it funny how you pronounce Australian words. Awesome snare, awesome video, thanks man!
That is why I thought you had a 12” rack tom until recently when you talked about your 10” rack tom. Now I know why it didn’t look like a 10” rack tom, you have a 12” snare. That snare sounds amazing.
Its awesome!
Sounds great!
I love this drum. It's on my list
It sounds great!
Wow. Just wow.
Love Shack by B-52's, a few songs from U2 and Pearl Jam all feature 12" stave snares. Pretty sure John Mayer's drummer has a 12" stave as well. The famous Two Princes by Spin Doctors snare is a 12", though it's ply, not stave construction. 12" snares are sleepers for sure.
Beautiful Snare
Oh yeah! I was always wondering what that snare drum was? Or even where it came from? Also, I knew you had a Benny Greb signature snare and was wondering what happened to it…
Sounds fantastic!! Looks fantastic!!! I am so excited for you!!!!!!
Im in love with this snare 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤😍😍😍😍😍
I'd love to get one of those
Vinnie Colaiuta plays a Jarrah snare as well-- that's some good company
i was shocked that this drum only costs $,1000, especially considering the rarity of the wood and where it was made. there are plenty of drums that cost plenty more than this one. well done. beautiful craftsmanship.
Glad to hear that Steve! There was certainly some debate about launching a $1000 snare. I totally understand that it’s out of a realistic price range for many drummers. But at the end of the day, this is a hyper specialized product, that required countless hours of work from multiple, high level artisans. And given how much joy, use, and quality sound I’ve gotten from mine, I would personally spend a grand to keep this snare on my kit if I had to, without hesitation. Thanks for the kind words! 👊🏼
This is one of those things where you get what pay for. The quality is definitely there.
The wood is so beautiful and I love the sound. I wish I Thad the money to buy one.
WHAT THE F!! Dude! Now I have a dream snare, gotta work hard for it 🥺 DAAAEEMMMNNN!
Heard that snare on a video of yours about a year ago and since then its been a dream of mine to get one, honestly it's the best snare i've ever heard (at least for my taste)😊
Agreed! 🤘🏼
Those snares sound KiLLER!
If anyone deserves a signature snare for their skills and hard work it would be this cat, hands down.
Hey Adam! When you gonna drop that signature KIT???
I couldn't pass up the opportunity to purchase one of these beautiful instruments. You have inspired me along my drumming journey and it will be so awesome to play your signature snare. It sounds absolutely amazing.
Yessss. I am SO stoked to see it on your kit my friend! 🔥🔥
Let me know if you ever think about selling it!
I love its sound! how to tuning?
That snare is so perfect. Wow. Is there a video explaining where those awesome spotlights are from? The two on sides of the kit
Thanks Joe! I have an extensive videography course for drummers available at the link below, which includes a full breakdown of my lighting setup. 🤘🏼I truly can’t remember all the model names/numbers of the lights that I use, but they’re all in there! You can watch for free on a 7 day trial.

I love it! Perfect timbre and almost like a composite or bobinga sound, in a way. It cuts really well and has great controlled overtones! I have a Tama S.L.P. studio maple with wood hoops, but your snare design and woods used sound much better to my ear. So cool, and I've been wondering for quite awhile now, what manufacturer and wood your snare is made from. Great video, and as always, great playing! Thanks for being such a great educator and mentor for so many people! You're a good dude!
Lastly, how much are those running, is the stock readily available or do they have to be built and shipped for each order? Happy drumming, thanks again for all you do/have done, and congrats on the signature snare! Looks and sounds amazing!
Thanks for the kind words Blake! This first batch of 12 (3 remaining) are all completed and ready to ship. There will be a waiting list for the next batch, and those will be built over the coming months. Sal over at EntityDrums.com can give you more info on the schedule for the next batch if you aren’t yet ready to pull the trigger. I know he’s dropping several snares in the mail tomorrow morning. 🤘🏼
@@AdamTuminaro Oh, wow! Ok, cool! Thanks so much for the info. I'm unloading this 90s era Pearl Masters Custom all maple with opti's/superhoops, a rack (I dislike racks with a passion, personally. lol), and a Pearl Free Floater Snare soon here. I got it on a trade and the guy I got it from went rack method, so I didn't have much of a choice besides a rack tom in a snare basket/bop setup, or with cymbal mounts for the opti's. I have a severe back problem, and dealing with the rack is quite literally a pain in my ass; but, since the rack already came "free"/included and ready to use...lol.
Anyways! That means I'm in the market and looking, and have always liked your snare (whole setup really), and you are actually the one that inspired me to get that wood hooped Tama S.L.P studio (knew it would sound totally different, but since I couldn't afford more at the time, but still wanted to experiment with wood hoops, I snagged it). That and a Pork Pie BOB are my main snares, but boy would I love to add your snare to my next setup! Any recommendations of specific kits that go well with that timbre/tones (I know, that's a very hard and generalized question. lol) I should check out? There's this place called "Drum Flip" near where I live in SoCal, that said they would do a straight trade and take the rack! (I only paid 400$ for the item I traded for the kit, rack, and a full set of original A customs for. :) They have everything you can imagine, including making their own "DF" drums, and hard to find vintage stuff. I have a Gretsch Catalina, so all maple is already covered. I like wide and warm, but "singing" drums, am happy with a 4/5 piece, needs to be easy to shlep cause I have a severe back injury from when I fractured my spine as a kid; and am thinking Yamaha, DW, C&C, Canopus, Tama, Sonor, or another Gretsch. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as I very much respect your opinions, advice, and timbre of your drums. I'm thinking of going with Mahogany, Birch, composites, or even bobinga or oak if I'm feeling frisky. lol. Thanks, dude! I'm checking that site out right after writing this! Happy drumming! Appreciate you, and Merry Christmas!
In Australia "Jarrah" rhymes "Farrah", i.e Farrah Fawcett if you are old enough to remember.
🔥
Nice brotha....
💪🏻
That snare sounds amazing! Did you use any EQ?
Thanks! Yes, all clips here have standard mixing techniques applied. But beyond basic EQ and compression, there's very little done to my audio overall, and my Earthworks mics are painfully honest. You could replicate my recorded snare sound in just a few minutes, assuming you had the same audio gear, and a little background in mixing.
sick
Where can I buy this snare?! It sounds good good!
Oh,damn...I am here in China and I can’t help to order one!
I know that this snare sound is so unique but are there any other snares that have a similar sound that are more budget friendly?
Do you have unbox video for this snare😇
Wow
Dope Adam!! When can the general public get one?
Why would I promote a snare you can’t buy? Lol. Gotta watch the video brother.
Adam, love your sound and the snare compliments your playing beautifully
But as an Aussie the pronunciation of Jarrah is emphasis on the ‘J’....phonetically sounds like ‘Kara’ as you would say not shzzarrah. 👌😎
Can anyone here tell me if this company still exists? I can’t find anything on them and I want this snare SO bad! Hell, even if someone is looking to sell there’s I’m all ears!
just been watching the video and got interested. But it seems like Entity Drums is not existing anymore? No website, no Insta... Do you know more about it??
hi! i dont succeed in finding the website of these wonderful crafts. do somebody could help me? cheers!
Is it just me or is the metal rim separating from the wooden hoop at @6:35 ... :O
Could just be the angle and the drum does sound fantastic! A good alternative now with Brady not making drums at the moment.
Correct. That shot was an earlier prototype hoop from a year or two back. The sig snare has a different design altogether, but the shell is the same. I just thought it sounded sick! Lol
@@AdamTuminaro Thanks for the quick reply, makes sense! :D
Do I need to sell an organ to afford this?
I think Entity drums is no longer a thing? Really unfortunate. I was going to treat myself by buying one of these after I finished school.
Correct. Info in description.
It seems that Sal no longer is making anymore snares. His website or FB site is not longer available. And his IG page only shows artwork. :(
Can I have a snare? 👀
Video idea how about you tell us about the meaning of your tattoos
