Good to know, I’ve been running sojourn as flex for some time now. Glad to see why it’s not helping lol.
I swear so many people think sojourn is a projectile hero, i literally had 5 people saying i was stupid because I said sojourn is a modern hs, when they said it's a projectile and you get kills from your primary half the time and railgun half the time. 1 guy even said the disrupter shot was for damage not zoning.
She is projectile, her beam thing is hit scan

@@EmilionOW Left click is projectile but she is a hitscan hero since majority of the kills usually come from the railgun.
She's technically projectile, but for the sake of things just consider her a hybrid.
@@DontBeBad True, and what's also true is that she wouldn't be able to get any elims with her rail without her projectile primary first. Either she's neither, or she's both.

There was a time I was a considerably worse tracer than my hs in brawl comps, so much that we juggled the idea of us swapping soj and tracer, and even did it for a few maps on horse. It worked in the short term, but once I got better at tracer we immediately swapped back. If a double hs meta ever exists, I feel the fdps would play soj, but lets hope that doesnt happen because double hs metas arent fun
Nice info, although I'd familiar with 4 of 5 character. With most of the time using tracer because the kit was pretty fit with my playstyle but with genji was different, Till this day from 2016 playing ow i still can't play genji
i kinda see a bunch of hitscan dps play hanzo often too
this videos even though they are helpful i find them funny for the ow2 situation, everything rely on whos diffing who and what u feel like playing today regardless of the comp, take leave as example or vestola

if you don't play in an organized team environment then it doesn't really matter, for ranked it's good to be able to play both fdps and hsdps
@@therealjollification very true I don't think any esports org wants to pick up a bronze 1 dps player on xbox. (Slowly making it to silver tho)
Isn't Hanzo played by hitscan players ??
My understanding is usually the HS is on widow, so the flex is on Hanzo.
@@jamesmaguire9152 you’re talking about when Hanzo is played in double sniper in which you would be correct but Hanzo paired with elf’s say genji or Mei he would be played by hitscan player
thankfully i was a otp genji for 300+ hours who also played hanzo because i thought genji brother + one shot = cool, on top of this i liked playing tracer since she was fast like genji and mei is just easy, echo might take a bit of work still

Guys, what is a "flex" dps?? Can someone explain it to me please?
Its a term mostly for pro play. It’s basically any dps that’s not played by hitscan dps normally, because most comp pairings have a hitscan and another dps
I feel like I see the Main DPS play Hanzo more often than not.
Also as a Flex DPS player is Hanzo something I would be expected to learn? I can play the other 4 just fine but I can’t play Hanzo, luckily my team hasn’t asked me too ever.

Hanzo is no longer a flex dps
By this logic, then as pharah main i can recognize myself as hitscan dps
or u can just play widow and exist. even if u dont hit shots ur presence alone makes more space than a tank ever could. even if ur terrible at widow u can go widow, get a pick, go back to spawn and swap (depending on the map and side ur on obviously)
and when ur not playing widow just play black widow (sojourn)

I’ve also many Flex use Sojourn on push maps where the HS is on Widowmaker
You do not play Widow Soj on Push. That does not work in professional play.
@@Coach_Ocie 2023 Toronto Defiant vs Atlanta Reign (Circuit Royale) Hydron on the Widow while Spectra on the Soj. Toronto won that map too. So if anything… it does work!

You do have a good point though, it looks like flex do sometimes play Sojourn in double sniper metas.

High accuracy is how you know, anything above 50%, especially with rail accuracy.
Or you just be like me which is play junkrat purely because you can make the stupidest plays imaginable and still be okay with them
In other words no having fun playing what you wanna play cuz ow players can only use the meta
this likely only applies to high ranked play and ofc professional play

You’ve gotta be another kind of bronze or braindead to put Genji and Hanzo on this list over ANY reliable hitscan and Sojourn.
Soldier or even McCree is THE hitscan, people don’t expect you to play Hanzo or Echo. they want a reliable hitscan, WHICH YOU DIDNT INCLUDE ANY HITSCAN BESIDES TRACER, WHO NOBODY EXPECTS YOU TO LEARN BUT THEYRE TOP TIER ANYWAY
Real List for people who aren’t braindead or bronze:
-Sojourn
-Soldier/McCree/Bastion
-Mei
-Sombra/Widow
If you can’t aim, at least know how to counter who can.
Hey um, bud, this is a video about Flex DPS. These 5 heroes are the most common across metas historically. This is statistically correct based on meta in professional play.
Ur bronze is you think echo isn’t great rn. Also learn what flex dps is before you clown on yourself again
flex dps is more like a role within competitive teams, the flex dps has a specific hero pool and hitscan dps has a specific hero pool
This is for professional comp teams lmao not your run of the mill regular comp games the rest of the us are playing, this is for the like .1% of players that are in the pro scene and what the teams play
