Absolutely. I once had a vocal coach in my recording studio to do some promo recordings for her website. She wanted everything to be heavily corrected with auto-tune. I refused because I thought (and still think) this is a deception. Never heard of her again :-)

She doesn’t just teach… look her up and learn about all of her singing accomplishments. She may not be pop artist famous but she has performed as an opera singer all over the world. She’s also one of the infamous voices on the Lion King. She is quite accomplished in addition to being a vocal coach.

She can literally do anything! She’s amazing! I especially love how controlled and cool toned her whistle notes were. It’s really easy to make them to squeaky or even to high pitched sometimes. Hers were perfect in my opinion.

Her chest voice is amazing, but it sounded nothing like Whitney at all. They have extremely different tones. Having said that, her skills are first rate and I would love for her to be my coach.
@@GilbertGTV it is always interesting how each person hears differently… I am not at all insinuating that your comment, or anyone else’s, is wrong. It is just interesting to see each persons reaction. We all experience things differently and bring our own unique perspective. As a singer and a former vocal coach, I personally do hear hints of Whitney Houston in Cheryl’s voice, and it would I’ve been really interesting to hear her do an entire Whitney cover. But she is definitely not Whitney, and yes, her skills are first rate, not to mention she is an incredible coach.

She is so technical and precise in the execution of different singing voice variations. It's almost as though her head, throat, diaphragm and mouth is a separate musical instrument and she is a maestro at it. One word to describe her understanding of vocals, "clarity."

At the end I was left with the curiosity what falsetto and “fry” sound like 👀
Annoyingly falsetto and head voice are the same thing. Pretty sure whistle isn't a thing anyway it's just falsetto (head voice). Fry is screaming, if you listen to metal music you'll know.
@@danielkavanagh8666 whistle is the pop version of the Flagolet voice, wherein the vocal folds sieze in the closed position and the air whistles through a tiny hole in folds. Fry is when you get so low that the vocal folds no long function normally, and the compensating force needed produces vocal fry.
@@danielkavanagh8666 When i hear both used as separate things. Falsetto always ends up sounding breathier than what they say is head voice (which usually ends up as a non-breathy falsetto or mixed)

What a beautiful soul to grace this earth and to have touched so many!! At a very young age my twin and I sung Alto but during my youth tragedy and trauma hit and I stopped singing. My vocal cords were damaged. However , nearly 4 1/2 decades later I downloaded simply sing , with lots of heavy prayer I just let it go and my voice is strong if not better now than then. I was placed as an Alto and when checked my range was a C4-G5. I feel my G5 note is straining but it’s there but I feel better at E5/F5. More E5 though. I’ve used her tutorial techniques and man are they cut throat but oh sooooo rewarding. For so long I lived in fear and believed a sibling whom was 18 years older than me say, “ we aren’t good enough, sing good enough, etc.. “all while it was not true but what does a child do…. Hmmm?? We believe them until we find our “ VOICE” and I did …, one year singing it is well with my soul in church. I was 6!! My grandma is a coloratura and I just felt something rise up in me as if I knew the notes etc and I sang and she turned her head so fast. I smiled and I knew the high notes and gave it my all. Man I should have scaled back because she had me in choir, solos etc. I was not ready for stage because of stage fright. But I had to overcome that real quick. So with a greatful heart, , strength, passion, sincerity and devotion I thank you Cheryl for helping me find my voice after 4 1/2 decades. #Much Love Sweetie.

I am so jealous of people that can sing. I sit here in my room, watching random coaching videos and still sound like a dying cat lol. I never wanted to be famous, I just want to sound good for me. Cheryl, you are a queen!
Don't put yourself down like that.
Talent may help, but there is also a lot of dedication, practice, consistency and hardwork in it too. I been doing singing lessons alongside a coach for almost 2 years and its AMAZING how much it helps to develop your voice and techniques.

I’ve always been confused on what’s the difference between chest voice or head voice and that stuff but honestly this video helped me understand it a ton!
Chest voice: vocal range of the speaking voice. It is the same register with which you speak but with a singing imposition.
Head voice: is the high range of the voice. Try to imitate the police beacon and you will feel how the placement on your charger changes, the sound reverberates in the upper part of the vocal cavity.

@@inlonging theyre pretty much the same thing just in a continuum. Falsetto is more airy and head voice is thicker. Examples of this would be Mariah Carey’s falsetto that she usually used in comparison to Beyoncé’s thicker head voice. They can both do head voice and falsetto but Mariah usually goes for an airy falsetto and Beyonce for a more powerful head voice.

I've managed a whistle note a very few times. When sick and after waking up. The only other way I can manage a whistle is by inhaling and I sound like a pterodactyl or creature from a scary movie. I can do it quiet like a tea kettle almost and super loud like a monster 😂. I'm quirky AF 😅.

I think the reason she prefers teaching is, because she is so good at it. When she demonstrated her amazing range, she sang songs from different artists. I think to really become famous and to get a record deal, you need to write your own music, or have an amazing writer for your songs next to you, otherwise your talent is wasted and you will just remain a karaoke version of all those stars. She is way too good for that!

Almost all college professors create their own research/analysis/art as well as teaching, and a ton of athletes train others as well as competing- it doesn’t mean they’re betraying one half of their career. I also think it can be inspiring to vocal students to see what their teacher can do, and helps give them confidence that she can teach them techniques to achieve similarly good results

She'll make more money doing what she does. Singers only make big money not from signing up to labels who keep the masters and you get peanuts but from live performance where the artist keeps majority of money, plus merchandise. Don't fall for the hype rappers and other artist portray in their video showing fake money, mansions and cars they don't even own.
Shes probably making money now, maybe less but she probably has full control of what goes on 👀
I think success in popular music is 40 percent looks (do the masses find you attractive?), 40 percent personality/charisma (do the masses like you as a person, or at least the mythical notion of you?), 10 percent dancing, and 10 percent singing ability. There are thousands of people who can sing better than Britney Spears, but they don’t have the other 90 percent as much as she does.
