Good morning from the Great State of Texas. This rations looks good to me. Although I do have a couple of questions 1. How does a soldier heat up all the water needed for this ration? 2.How does a soldier carry that big box of food in their pack 3. Did this ration come with any type of heating device or stove. Thank you and have a good day.
Good morning. I have the same concerns... There is no way to heat up any water, so I presume the soldiers are pre-issued with a trioxane or hexamine stove separately. I would also presume that the box is issued at the base, where the soldier would stash the drink powders and main meals in their bags; and the snacks in their jackets. Great to hear from a Texan. It's been over 20 years since I went to The Alamo. Truly is God's country!
