Idea 1: Wall rider evolution. Idea 2: Defect Evolution Race, like the Evolution Race but before the race you can change (add, remove, or move) one thing from the other vehicles. So with 3 players, everyone gets 2 genetic defects per evolution.
Try "Tank Evolution Challenge". The rules are: One small cannon only, and no other gadgets (Dynamite, wall dispensers, etc.) Three power cores to start, and three extra each round. Once the time is up, it's a free for all battle to the DEATH! Last person standing (Or flying, there are no rules against that...) wins. (You can decide what counts as "Standing" in this case) Like so he can see!
So glad I found this! I sorta copied Scrapman's initial design but I added Suspension springs to all of the wheels to be able to survive an impact; it helped me to reach a couple of new areas in the Stranded campaign, still not sure HOW I'm going to get the stupid Go-kart seat since I can't get past the damn lava though, but this saved me when I was stuck unable to reach anything on certain islands that are unreachable from the sea/land!

You’re always competing for the first place, but what about trying to lose For example trying to glide the shortest distance, drive the slowest speed/time, break your vehicle the fastest
I believe evolutionary rotorcraft could be fun. Rotorcraft, by definition, are rotary-wing aircraft, like helicopters, autogyros (which have motor-less rotors, but stay in the air due to forward thrust), gyrodynes (VTOL helicopters), or rotor kites (motor-less rotorcraft, kind of like a parachute made from a helicopter). Instead of just power cores, it's the amount of blades you can have. Start with 4, then 8, and finally, 16. Rotorcraft are difficult to manufacture, so you could start with 6 minutes. With rotorcraft, there are endless amounts of challenges, so you could decide. Just a suggestion, but I think it could be cool.
To make a more accurate, but extremely chaotic ruleset. The first & second place cars are saved. Each player must create what they believe to be a car that's roughly the average between the two, using only parts from those cars. Then when finished, you are allowed to add, remove, or replace ONE piece in any way you choose. For higher stakes have it so each player can choose to make another single piece change to another player's vehicle. This extra piece can be good, bad, just depends. Make it random if you're feeling extra chaotic.
remember the movie speed? well you have a delay for a speed control. and if you drop below 35 km/h than you blow up. here is the catch. you get points for bumping others off the road in race world every round increases the minimum speed by 10 km/h
I'd love to see this again but you evolve your own vehicles. So if you lose you don't get the winning vehicle, you have to evolve to beat it. loving the content tho, been binging it for afew weeks now.
Oh, idea. Mixing with this evolution idea, add in everyone swap vehicles for the actual race. The way evolution would work then is 1st place vehicle gets 3 points, first place racer gets 2 points, second place vehicle gets 1 point, second place racer gets 0, last place vehicle gets -1 point, and last place racer gets -2 points. This incentivises you to not only make a good evolution, but also perform well because if you try to either make a difficult machine for the other driver or just drive poorly to get your vehicle in first, then you could end up just losing any advantage that extra point vehicle win could give. Example, if your vehicle wins first, but you come in last, your vehicle would be eliminated from evolution from some who got first but their vehicle was second (they have 3 points you have 1).
Triathlon, like the evolution race but you add your build time together cumulative. You have to build a vehicle that can mange 3 different challenges. You can stop to build at anytime and that is added to your total time for the challenge. Well you build like the hair and speed off making small adjustments at each new section or build like the tortus and take time to build the vehicle that can do it all?
In the world, 3 races are born Red: Take Pride in their builds and can very easily control the element of fire. They hunt by building decoys and then leap out from behind making a nice dinner for the family Green: They Go head-on into battle using their nature manipulation skills to trap the enemy and run it over with its amazing vehicle skills It hides its traps on the rainforest floor waiting for its prey Blue/Yellow: Making very flashy vehicles this race blinds its prey and sometimes lures its prey in, it then snatches them up and flies high into the skies Dropping them to make fresh minced meat. It may even use its lightning and water skills to boil or cook food But when these races evolved with and into each other things may go scarily right, or horrifyingly wrong...
