  • A team of over 287 scientists across the globe have mapped every neuron in the brain of an adult fruit fly, marking the first complete map of an adult animal's brain. This unprecedented map, detailing the connections between all 139,255 neurons, reveals fascinating similarities and differences between fly and human brains at the level of neural connections. The research suggests that despite differences in size and structure, both fly and human brains employ similar mechanisms for processing information and generating behaviour. This significant achievement offers a foundation for future research into the intricacies of brain function and provides valuable insight into how brains across species have evolved to solve similar challenges.

AI hosts are getting crazy good, today... Wtf. I could only catch glimpses of AI traces in their voices. Shit's scary.

They do glitch out here and there. But I think overall they do a great job with this podcast format, it's a great way to absorb complex information in a more accessible way compared to trying to decipher cryptic science papers that only people in the field understand.
