    I am interested in the folding transporting bag for recumbent trikes but on a video it shows picking these bags up do they have wheels for these bags like luggage bags so you do not have to pick it up? Thanks for your help. Your video was great and I contine to watch your videos and learn a lot.

      Hi Paula, Unfortunately, it does not come with wheels. My guess is if you want wheels, you would have to have a custom hardshell case made. If you do want to order the Radical Design Transport Bag, call us at 800-233-4340 and we can add it to our upcoming order.

    So is the Solo Aero you are demonstrating the wide or the narrow?: you say it is both. Thank you.

      The Street Machine with BodyLink seat that has the Solo Aero on it is the wide. We stock both versions and have more details about fit on our website at hostelshoppe.com/collections/bags?filter.p.vendor=Radical+Design

    Are they Radical Design bananas waterproof..? that is important on a tour..

    • @hostelshoppe
      @hostelshoppe  Год назад

      The Cordura is not waterproof, but Radical Design makes waterproof liners for all of their pannier bags www.radicaldesign.com/banana-liners-pair that we can order for riders that want to tour. We will be stocking the Banana Racer liner soon.

    • @rdkuless
      @rdkuless Год назад

      @@hostelshoppe Wow.. that little liner adds about $50 to a pair of panniers that are already $235... And the link you sent is not the same as your website. the Banana on your website doesn't say weather it is a S? M? or L? size.. So what liner size..? It would be so much easier to order to Ortlieb PackRack small and uses ties to mount them on the back of the seat.. And I would know that my stuff would stay dry... Radical Design looks great, but when it comes to brass tacks.. they are not water proof, they are not as durable as the Ortlieb.. and the reputation is not that of Ortlieb.. Sorry, i'm not sold on the idea of having to carry a liner (that i could possibly loose and risk getting my tour gear completely wet. I'm disappointed in Radical Design.. They could have simply made them out of a waterproof Cordura fabric.. The cost is about the same.. Wow they dropped the ball..

      @@rdkuless Hi Rob, The link was to Radical Designs site, as I don't have the product in stock yet. They make four sizes of liners: Racer, Small, Medium and Large to match the four sizes of their pannier bags. Synthetic CORDURA-which does not retain water as does natural cotton-can be chemically treated to endow it with water-repellency and other beneficial properties. I also did a bit more research and it does have a PU coating which gives it water repellency, and we have found the bags to be very durable. What kind of trike are you using? I can recommend some other bags that might work. Are you using a rear rack? We stock Ortlieb as well.

      @@hostelshoppe I'm trying to complete my touring setup..I don't want to worry about carrying extra liners to make cycling panniers that should already be waterproof.. LOL
      I already have a custom Surly Nitto rack equipped with a Racktime Snapit adapter on top for my Waterproof Racktime trunk bag.. I use Arkel 30's or 45 Orcas... on my AZUB T-Tris.
      Maybe i should just forget about the convenience of the pod style bags, and go 100% waterproof. The worst thing on a long transcontinental tour is to get to camp with all wet gear.
      Do you carry the Double Azub racks.. And how much are they. That way i have room for both the 30 and 45's Orcas on my rack?

      @hostelshoppe  Год назад

      @@rdkuless The T-Tris only will work with Azub's Rack-Time rack and their lowrider rack azub.eu/recumbent-bikes-and-trikes/trikes/26-wheels/t-tris/accessories/ . The double rack and king rack are not options for the T-Tris. I can special order the lowrider rack for you. Will that work with your Orca bags?

    The banana bag...
    What size was that particular model; because they have I think three different sizes.
    I am interested in the banana bags, but...I wish you filmed all three sizes.
    It gives the viewer a much better idea as to what size is desired.
    Pictures of the banana bags by themselves just lack the ability to see and compare.
    I have a Catrike Expedition, and looking for either medium or large, depending on visual size differences for touring.
    Thank you.

      Hi, Thanks for your inquiry. The bag that we stock is the Radical Design Banana Racer, the smallest of the four bags that Radical Design makes in the Banana Series. They make the Racer, the Small, the Medium and the Large. I just placed an order with Radical Design, so if you want a certain size we don't stock, call us at 800-233-4340 to place a special order. You can view the bag lineup with dimensions here www.radicaldesign.com/recumbent-bags/side-panniers on the Radical Design site.

    Is the second offering…the “banana bag” compatible with a Catrike 559 and 700? Also…the cost on the first set shown on the 559 and the banana bag….and the big question…AVAILABILITY?

      Hi Mark, You can view all the bags on our website at hostelshoppe.com/collections/bags/radical-design . The Banana Racer is $235 and we have it in stock in yellow, black and red right now. We are out of the blue at the moment. The smaller Universal Racer is $148. We have blue, red and black in stock and are out of yellow at the moment. Both bags work on Catrikes.

    What about transport bags for an entire folded trike? And for different models or a generic one that will hold any of them?
    This is a neglected market. One area you guys are neglecting is this one that empowers seniors to get a transport bag for a folded trike that can easily lift and slide into and back out of a RV or SUV for traveling. Intact trikes are also too cumbersome to store outside a RV.
    For senior communities located near safe trails, I guess a folding trike isn't necessary. One trike shop in Dogwood Junction, Arkansas has a genius situation in place. A test track INSIDE the building! Check it out! That is where every person including seniors can safely and comfortably test ride several models despite the weather. No hard sell needed. Many will try one out, sleep on it, and return to buy one!

      Many people do learn to fold their trikes to get them home. We offer a complete learning session on that, here at the Shoppe for all of our customers purchasing folding trikes. If you need a transport bag for your trike, we can order one from Radical Design, which can be viewed at www.radicaldesign.com/trike-transport-bag .

    How to get the darn thing home!
    This is what many say when they decide to buy a trike.
    If its a folding one, you still don't want to take it down and neither does the customer.
    That's for sometime later.
