i played a team last week that played 433 and had wingers glued to the touchline as far forward as possible the whole game, and they were much faster that me. so every time i wanted to go forward i never did because they could just hit a long ball to the corner and they would be 3 on 3 at the very least. will i just pick up when to go forward over time or should i just play it safe against teams setup like this and rarely push on?
Ye go forward at the right times because those wingers will ether follow you which means they are going thurther away from goal or if they don’t follow u you have space too drive into and play 1-2s with your winger etc and make a goal happen

My right winger was telling me to mark my man, their left winger. He didn't have the ball but was an option as he was close to play. I decided not to mark him as he was so deep in his own half and I was goalside by a good 20 or 30 feet. Our half was as good as empty with no opposing players. Why would I mark him? He's not a threat and I could close him down or hold him up by being positioned where I was, no?
Depends. If a full back. Say Rb. Right foot. Or lw right foot. Depending on your style. If your more creative. Right foot right wing. Goalscorer right foot left wing. Cut in more goals. Full backs are more like rm or lm these days. Like hybrid wingers. So they tend to do more the crosses these days as the wingers become more central.

lol tactics seem easy when the other team has 3 less players on the field. Not overly helpful. Once those fullbacks realize there are strikers chasing them down, and have to worry about them when you lose the ball, it's not so easy. "oh and he has space", because there's no forward line lol.

You should do a video about what to do if there's no passing options. Thats kind of a problem, because i want to keep possession of the ball, but i at the same time i don't want to lose the ball and the other team gets a counterattack
if you have no passing options, it's because the team is keeping the ball in the same side of the pitch for too long, and/or they're taking too long to move the ball from person to person. this gives the defense time to close in on the play. if you're switching the play and using space from the get-go, it's harder to defend against because the other team has to keep shifting.
If you’re a full back with ball in possession in your third: Safest play would be to your keeper. If you’re a full back in the middle third without lane open: Switch it to the other side to other full back midfielder If you’re on the last third: Better practice your long range shot or your 1v1 dribbling, sprints to earn space

another reason could also be that nobody is moving, which is easy to mark.
