It's a nice device, it actually reminds me of a Huawei one I bought about 5 years ago. Which brings up an issue I have with those photos. Maybe the technology has come further, but those photos are great when you take them, however they tend to discolor a LOT over time.
I wonder how these will hold up to time.
This is the second gen, it should be better.
Wait, I'm confused about the "Prints Capability." I'm not knowledgeable about portable photo printers. Is the overall lifespan of the device is printing only 20pcs of film!?!?!? Or on a single charge?
how does the scan to play video thing work? is it somehow embedded into the film or is it through the cloud?
It must be on the cloud, and there is an AR effect implemented in it.
good product with questioneable of paper availability in the future
You can buy some from Geekwills, but actually any 2x3 film can be used with this device.
@@GizmoChinaTube can i use instax mini paper?
as long as it it 2*3 inches.
2:57 Did you mean pixels? DPI is more of a descriptor for density.
I’m assuming the AR video and audio clips are stored on the xiaomi servers, do these recordings have an expiry date?
DPI is correct. He's saying the photos have that many dots per inch in the photos. If you use a photo of any megapixel resolution, the end result will be a phyiscal photo with a resolution of 313X512 dots per inch.
@@CaidicusProductions I’m pretty sure dots per inch is a single number that represents the density of the print. I don’t think there is any readily available printer on the market that prints in a different density horizontally vs vertically. It’s like saying the distance a car has travelled is 30km/hr or a ship has travelled a distance of 30 knots.
Unfortunately the Canon Selphy exist which can print 100 photos at a bigger print size, if you wish for an album that is.
This is both portable and uses battery so thatsya plus. Not bad for an $80 portable printer.

I wish they made it square 3x3 inch
2*3 is like the industry standard now, and we are taking pictures vertically with a phone, isn't it?
@@GizmoChinaTube If that's so, why Kodak, canon, Fujifilm and Polaroid all have square photo printers?
There are 2*2 ones, but there is also plenty of 2*3 on Amazon.
No, 2 x 3 inches is not good enough.
It all depends on people's preferences.
For what?
I wouldn't buy one of those for myself.
But if someone gave it to me, I would be happy :D
