This is the episode where Peter Jurasik read the script- and called up JMS and said "I don't know what you are smoking, but can you send 10 lbs to my house?"
What a crazy episode. I remember being a teenager and watching this for the first time with my friends. We were absolutely blown away. It’s still a great memory to this day. Can’t wait to see your reaction to the rest of the season 😊
Hahahha Shelley! I feel like I've been watching your reactions to this series for this specific moment. I can remember back to when John first came on as the new captain and how hesitant you were feeling about him. Now we've come full circle. :) B5 and Fringe are the 2 series that have the best payoffs for long term arcs. This show is so dang good!
Wow..what a incredible way to tie up the story ( Sinclair story) from season one with a huge revelation at the end...man I am telling you Sinclair and Sheridan are legends.
An ironic statement made in season 1 after Garibaldi returned from B4 and the evacuation. Ivanova told him if it happens again, she's going and he stays behind. It was great foreshadowing.
Re: Londo: _"He truly has nothing left to lose, and that's a scary thing..."_ I mean, mostly true. Kind of true. But most of us have lots more to lose than we think of, day-to-day.
I normally do not comment on any videos I watch. If I watch a video, I will normally hit the "like bottom" and be grateful. However, after Babylon 5 - 3x16 I was compelled to comment. Rather than a lot of polysyllabic praise, I will make it simple: your reaction was an absolute joy! THANK YOU.
Having a hard time watching B5 now with so many of the cast gone. All of them died way to soon... Regulars: Richard Biggs (Dr. Franklin) 2004 Andreas Katsulas (G'Kar) 2006 Jeff Conaway (Zack Allan) 2011 Michael O'Hare (Sinclair) 2012 Jerry Doyle (Garibaldi) 2016 Stephen Furst (Vir Cotto) 2017 Mira Furlan (Delenn) 2021 Guest stars: Tim Choate (Zathras) 2004 May they rest in peace...
This is the brilliance of JMS. Shit happened that really should have upset the Babylon 5 applecart, including Michael O'Hare's departure. But dude figures out how to rearrange the deck chairs and make everything WORK, exactly as if it had been planned from day one.
JMS would always say that he had a trap door for every character should anything disrupt the progress/production of the show. Bringing Lyta back when Andrea wanted to leave was quite seamless. Sheridan/Sinclair was more trouble of course, but he pulled that one out of the fire. Imagine if we lost Peter or Andreas after all the setups up to this point.
@@samsonau8205 True. I don't think JMS has really commented much on "what if?" scenarios re: the whole trap door thing - maybe he will someday. I'm glad we never lost Peter or Andreas during the show's run but what if they had? I think the story would be fascinating. Alas, we did lose Andreas later.... on my birthday, unfortunately. :(
Ah the moment when Jeff is back, priceless. Also I love the dark vision for the future. And as always, is the future written in stone, or is in in our hands to prevent it?
It might be amusing for you to go back to your first video in this series, and think about how many twists and turns we (the B5 audience) have gone through since that first pilot episode.
The sad reason Garibaldi and Sinclair never interact is that Jerry Doyle was REALLY hostile to Michael O'Hare, since O'Hare's schizophrenia was not known. So they basically had to arrange it so the two actors were never in the same place at the same time. Though I respect Doyle for being professional enough, through the first season at least, to really sell the idea that these were two old buddies working together.
Such an enjoyable reaction! 😄 Was looking forward to you seeing this, and _I wasn't disappointed!_ *EDIT:* Hope you have (or get) a moderator to quell spoilers.
There are so many people going "this isn't a spoiler, BUT..." or making ominous hints or what they think are vague references to future archs and whatnot, it's easy to say when you've watched the entire thing, but just hinting that a character HAS a future is a spoiler in itself imo.
JMS knows how to do time travel right. What else can I say? "That was quite the episode" ... You ain't seen nothing yet! But yes, a great episode. I have something more to say about Michael O'Hare, but that will have to wait. Be seeing you!
There was such a large gap between episodes. I can't find time to watch your other reactions, so perhaps you've already explained this in another video. Good to see you reacting again to B5
during the original run, they "ended" the season 4-5 eps before the real finale in May/Jun, then ran them in Oct/Nov just before the next season premiere. We had to wait a LONG time. Don't know why they did that but it was supremely annoying.
Shelley... Part 2 is going to absolutely wreck you. Take it from an OG Lurker who had to pick up his jaw off the floor in the 1990s: have some tissues nearby.
The episodes really start ramping up at this point. It's hard for me to say much more than that without introducing spoilers, the way Zathrus almost did. 🙂
The CGI in B5 is badly dated and looks poor, and WHO CARES? When you get a cast as good as this, superb acting, directing, writing, a superb overall plotline, with great lore, fleshed out history, with unique alien antagonists. This is storytelling of the highest calibre, what the characters are doing is far more important than how realistic the background looks, it is something that is missing in a lot of TV and movies these days.
Those shrieks when you saw Sinclair and Zathras. That's how you know someone is a true B5 fan.
A great moment, indeed!
"That was quiet the episode." Girl you ain't seen nothin yet! Watch the next one ASAP! xD
Is Great to see a person who's do this can't of journey what I already did

"As my great grandfather used to say: 'cool'" One of the best lines in futuristic science fiction.

Loved your reaction - so much fun. I remember watching this episode when it first aired and how frustrated I was to have to wait a week for part 2.
Are we confused yet - the joys of time travels .
I always think of this episode as the end of the beginning. The introduction is complete and now we move into the middle of the story.
Wow..what a incredible way to tie up the story ( Sinclair story) from season one with a huge revelation at the end...man I am telling you Sinclair and Sheridan are legends.
Your comment at the beginnning... "What other sacrifices may there be?"... Me in my head "hehehehehehehehehehe" 🤣
I'm mentally hearing those hehehehehehehe's as Finnegan Fox laughs.
Love the comment about Sinclair being assimilated into the Minbari culture. So true. Great reaction, thanks.

I always get chocked up when I watch this show no matter if it is a reaction or the actual episodes.
W.W.E. is always a fun ride. Quite the weaving of a time-travel story. Peak B5 in some ways, I think.
One of the best written shows ever. 😎

yep, told ya was gonna be good.
JMS had a bunch of contingencies for every one of his Is characters and the story as a whole.
The letter(s) are from 1000 years in the PAST. Pretty sure the Minbari guy says that.
900 years in the vault.

This was all set up way back in Season 1. And even in the pilot.

❤🧡💛💚💙💜
Sinclair knows if he never gets back with Garibaldi, Garibaldi will not die like he saw -- if they ever come together, the risk would be there
THIS IS WHAT B5 IS ABOUT! Big story arcs and interconnected threads that pay off years later. Enjoy!
Spoilers (kinda) … You're also going to find out why the Minbari surrendered.
This is the payoff for Season 1 and various plot lines, without ending the show....
Sorry but it wasn't Zathras, and it wasn't that Zathras either, it was Zathras.
Bit of B5 humour there.
