What a song. This album is quite perfect for the times we’re passing through. Times of trouble, despair, uncertainty. Fragility and vulnerability are in many of this record’s songs. Love it since the first ever listening of “The Dance”
These guys really are on another level. The lyrics Ed comes up with and the tones from the band are unlike anything else out there. Every fiber of my being loves these guys music. Thank you PJ.
new years 1991 was the first time i saw PJ live, with the RHCP & Nirvana, at the COw palace...almost a 30 yr love affair with this band, most solid relationship i've ever had...never stop

same here but why can't i get into the new stuff as opposed to listening to live versions of older records, I don't know PJ beyond Yield.
I'm only 12 but I've loved you're songs since I was able to comprehend them. Above all the grunge songs made by stone temple pilots, temple of the dog, Alice in chains, sound garden, nirvana and much more, songs like just breathe, even flow, the fixer, dance of the clairvoyants, do the evolution and much much more songs. They have all influenced my childhood. And I thank you for that. Thank you for rocking this world.

This honestly wasn’t one of my favorites from the album, but after watching this, the song has a much different, impacting feel now. Thank you for taking us outside of ourselves and fighting for something bigger PJ 🙏

It's so nice to read that there are still people discovering bands like Pearl Jam! And in their early teens, just like I did. I also started to listen to grunge when I was 11 or 12 in the early 90s. Loved them then, still love them now. It's a cliche to say but they're also the soundtrack of my life. So sad that there is no such group of new bands playing great rock nowdays..no wonder kids now have to listen to their parents' music!

I've loved Pearl Jam since the first time I heard Alive (WAYYY back in the day). Every album has added a new dimension to what they're about. Every song is an entity in and of itself. I find that amazing in so many ways... but I've gotta say, if it weren't for Eddie's unmistakable voice, I never would've guessed this is the same little grunge band out of Seattle that helped define a genre of rock. I love it, just as I've loved pretty much every song they've ever done.

“Retrograde” tells us about spreading awareness about climate change, so we need to look at the video more closely and think about the messages it gives us.
First it starts at 0:01 all the way to the left, it says START, then VITALOGY (the study of life), then TEN (next to it says CENT STORE), then it goes NO CODE (below it says LOCKSMITHS), then LIGHTNING BOLT (below it says ELECTRICAL SUPPLIES), then VS (below it says ATTORNEYS AT LAW), then follows PSYCHIC READER with (below) neon advertisement PSYCHIC, which, btw, you can buy on Amazon :). At the end of the video at 5:11 the order of the store names changes. VITALOGY is removed, the first is NO CODE which switched places with TEN, LIGHTNING BOLT, VS, PSYCHIC READER. Think about it.
The meaning of Tarot cards should be considered and studied.
At 1:54 the first card is Matt Cameron (Ace of swords with your personal Excalibur card), the second card is Mike McCready (Justice card), the third card is Eddie Vedder (The Sun card), the fourth card is Stone Gossard (The Magician card), the fifth card is Jeff Ament (The Chariot card). At 2:00 Gossard and Ament's cards swap places.
At 2:01 Eddie has a classical guitar on the card, and an electric guitar at 2:15, while on Mike's card there is a classical guitar (2:17).
