Don’t overinflate. It was €50m. He’s young and has resale value. Don’t forget United under Murtough paid almost the same amount for 29 year old Varane. It’s good business. Stop being salty. It will be offset by Varane’s wages and the €15m received for Kambwala.
Its stated €52 million euros with add ons...where they getting €62 million euros with add ons. They trying to create a narrative or something. Didn't Madrid spend a bunch of money on a 16 yr old. Didn't arsenal buy Rice for £105 million with a year left on his contract? 😕
Also they bought a youngster in with a high ceiling that could offer quality coverage they need especially considering all the injuries they have had in defense last year
There are people who can question Leny Yoro’s price tag at Manchester United because they signed an inexperienced 18 year old for over 62 million despite having 12 months left on his contract and ok they kinda overpaid for him even though he’s so promising and he’s a generational talent, but here’s the thing, he had a year left on his contract at Lille and assuming he decided to stay for an extra year, another club could’ve done put and tried to sign him this summer and also Real Madrid who were the frontrunners to sign him for many months, they could’ve signed him on a free. He went to a club that he didn’t want to go to, at the end of the day it was his only choice and if he’s unable to perform at Manchester United, he could regret the move as it probably would’ve been better for his development to stay at Lille for another season and then join Real Madrid on a free transfer and while he went to a team too soon, this was good business in terms of signing him despite overpaying and only time will tell if he’s a perfect fit in their defense. The only question marks that people have towards him is just his price tag because paying a lot of money for a player who is raw and doesn’t have a lot of top flight experience and is on a dysfunctional team in a transitional period, he’s going to be under a lot of pressure to perform and hit the ground running since we have seen other teams in the premier league take a massive gamble and pay a lot of money for a young player only for them to take some time to adapt to the league. I personally think that he is much better than what Manchester United have in defense since he is incredible and has the potential to be one of the best defenders in the world and his profile is similar to other French center backs. Lisandro Martinez is the only elite defender on this team outside of him the rest are bang average, Harry Maguire isn’t good enough for Manchester United and while they’ll keep him as a player to come off the bench, he should’ve been sold 18 months ago and he gets injured too much, I don’t know how Victor Lindelof is still playing for this football club, Jonny Evans at the age of 36 is someone who doesn’t mind playing cup games because he didn’t do a bad job last season, at the highest level in the premier league, your only elite defender cannot be someone who he himself has been prone to injuries of late and adding Yoro to the team and then Matthijs de Ligt Jarrad Branthwaite and potentially another defender, that would be a great transfer window for them because assuming they have another injury crisis at the back they need a lot of quality in that part of the field where you’re not asking Casemiro to play as a center back. I’m not trying to say that they’re going to compete with Manchester City Arsenal or even Liverpool in the title race, they should be a much better team than last season with or without injuries. If everyone can stay healthy, then they actually have a proper defense and I can’t believe I’m actually saying this, but Manchester United is finally becoming a serious club and we’ll have to wait and see because actions speak louder than words and we need to see how it’s going to work on the pitch because if they have a bad start, then we’ll say that they’re all flops, why did you sign the wrong player Ten Hag out because he has been backed properly in the transfer market meaning that he doesn’t have excuses to not be a better team than last season.
The same mistake of overpaying? So they are trying to equate the past last minute high paying transfers of fellani with the best young cb in the world currently??? They had to pay that to keep him from Madrid. Good grief these pundits continue to make the case for worst takes period.
If Leny Yoro ends up having a good season at Manchester United people who have some initial doubts over him and don’t watch games outside of the Premier League and see him as someone who’s overpriced since they paid 62 million for an 18 year old from Lille would be surprised when the reality is that there’s a reason why Real Madrid and other top European clubs wanted to sign him. I can tell that people don’t watch Ligue 1 or understand that in world football, talent exists outside of just the premier league and if he does well at United I wouldn’t be surprised
I know No team has Real Madrid player Pull but you can think players are always gonna wait even if its a year for free Lille probably threaten to bench him if he doesnt go with the Man U deal
Didn’t Madrid spend 100 million on hazard with 1 year left on his contract when he was 30. And psg have spent crazy money on players also but united get the most criticism.🤔

ESPN act like they care about Manchester United and all they do is criticise
Why every time other teams buy players for any amount nobody talks about it but it comes to United they have to find ways to say something negative about it.
The guy just said he loved the project, nobody on the panel knows the full details of the contract. So many numbers being thrown around.
So anti United!
United keep ESPN relevant.
Because only United can bring views
That’s because the current United team is a complete joke. The only thing they can offer him is money money money. Same thing with Lille. Had they offered 50M€ they wouldn’t have accepted. I’m sure they offered him 10M€ a year while Madrid was offering 5-6. If time has shown us anything is that United will continue to make bad transfer decisions. They should spend all that money cleaning up the mess they got at home.

Simple. Man utd needed the player more than Real Madrid so they had to make the move. If Yoro were to leave on a free transfer, there was just no way man utd could compete with Real Madrid so they had to move right now.
Had Madrid got him at the same price, they would have gone like "oh what masterstroke by madrid. They wanted him and they went for him".. Typical united haters.
@@marvelloussingandu415 That's why Madrid doesn't spend money like that for players with 1 year left on contract. Especially for centrebacks, which is a market Real Madrid doesn't want to inflate, in case an emergency signing has to be done.

They all have to learn from Mr perez on how to manage a football club 😂
ESPN pundits are always against UTD.
Football keeps changing and so do are players. 62 million now at age 18 and over 100 million in a few years to come
ESPN got fooled by United on transfer budget😂
The same mistake of overpaying? So they are trying to equate the past last minute high paying transfers of fellani with the best young cb in the world currently??? They had to pay that to keep him from Madrid. Good grief these pundits continue to make the case for worst takes period.
FORGET LIVERPOOL MAN CITY ARSENAL, MAN UTD'S TOP MOST RIVALRY IS ESPN..... THEY JUST CAN'T ACCEPT UTD'S PROGRESS
I guarantee you they still gonna cook something negative out of that ..😂

I think it’s more risk for Yoro, at RM he would’ve been gradually introduced and allowed to learn and play surround by an estabnlished team where as United basically needs him to come good from day one and not be another expensive flop.
