First of all I want to thank you for having an english dub to your videos. I really appreciate and value the information you have chosen to share with others. I would also love to learn to speak Russian someday. Anyways. I use Luxe tinned copper for the ground on my potentiometers. Best that i've found so far. Your copper is far more interesting though.
I never thought about the wire in guitars and the reactances, etc.. Also, didnt think about what older guitars used originally. I thought of using high silver wire instead of copper to increase signal strength. Appreciated the experiment of using shelac on insulation of wires & capturing old copper from antique insulation for purity of copper.
Lol. I just discovered that rewiring my guitars with Gavitt wire makes the sound so much better. I have a few videos before and after on my channel. You rule. You crazy nerd like me :)
@@8BombCustom you said you'll do a capacitor video. Where is that? The best les paul capacitor I found is the Bareknuckle Duelund PIO. Transformed my guitar in the Jimmy Page 70's tone. Which is wow wow
(Amplified Parts) sells gavitt wire with solid copper, and stranded copper in 18 awg ,20 awg ,22awg. It's the best I've found. Check with( Amplified Parts )what ever you need for guitar and amplifier parts. I like your video, very informative. Also check out Jupiter Capacitors ,best bumble bee capacitors I have found, and I have tried them all ,Luxe, Emerson, Russian military, mojotone, even real vintage bumble bee capacitors. The Jupiter Capacitors sounded best. Also one last thing I would like to say try Pure tone input jacks ,big improvement over Switch Craft input jacks.
i think the most unusual wire ive ever used in a guitar was from a 90s printer cable, parallel printer, it had many thin wires inside of the jacket and i was putting things together just to test pickups and wiring ideas. i thught it imparted something to the tone, like more hi fi.

Thank you 8Bomb Custom Workshop. Excellent overviews and details.
Thank you
I use automobile harness wires. It is cheap if you are doing something like guitars, and want a lot of wire in bulk.

Thanks for sharing
Thank you
Thank you man
If all i use is the bridge pick up for punk music what specific wiring should i replace in my epiphone les paul?
Résistance of a wire does affect current, so my question is does it affect the sound ?
Did you measure the impedance? I think they might make a difference
Yes, I measured these wires. And compared with others. But that was not on camera a while ago. The larger the wire cross-section, the less sound loss.
